Flying Lesson just leaked, with a very non-brickbuilt Remembrall. -

Please describe him in excruciating detail! Also, I suppose this means that the remaining golden figures will be in the D2C and polybag. -

The Hedwig set also just had a single jumper stud, but included a separate stand to attach to it. There's no reason this set couldn't be the same way. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but those gold corner pieces used on the Fawkes base are new, yes? I wonder what they were designed for... -

Wow, Fawkes looks great! The wings are very similar to Hedwig's, but the head and body are just perfect! So far, all of these sets we're seeing today are just fantastic! -

Chess just leaked in good quality. The pieces look to be good builds, perhaps just a little simple. I'm curious to see how Ron looks riding a horse. It's a shame that Harry's sweater doesn't have the tear on it, but it's still a good variant to get. Also, yeah, those pieces look like they'll fall over easily. They should've used 3x3 plates at the base instead of 2x2s. -

Probably just the stripe, which seems to continue all the way around. The only other back details to include would be wrinkles, which they omitted on the front. -

Okay, so the buildable figures just leaked, and they are gorgeous. Easily my favorite set of the year so far, and I don't see that changing. My only complaint is that I wish Harry's robes had been built into the torso design rather than just a cloth piece. Interestingly, the cloth robe lacks the inner trim, which Mark's the first time we've had fully accurate Year 1/2 robes, since they didn't have the trim until PoA. Looking again, Hermione has grey socks (a detail I really wish was on the actual minifigure), and it's also interesting that they both are built with mid-legs. If we already have a picture of this set, does that mean it might end up being a June release? -

In addition to these four sets that leaked today, there will seemingly be two more sets in June: - A $60 Wizard Chess set based on the ending of Philosopher's Stone. Low-res pictures leaked about a week ago. It includes the Harry, Ron, and Hermione all in casual outfits, plus a Golden Snape. The board is 32x32 studs (spaces are each 4x4), and the chess pieces seem to be brickbuilt, but using minifigure headgear and weapons. - A $30 Flying Lesson set. Not much is known about it, aside from the fact that it includes minifigures of Madam Hooch and a Golden Quirrell, potentially in addition to others. It is unknown whether this will be a minifigure playset. In addition, there are five other sets releasing later this year. They are: - A $120 set of buildable statues of the modern Year 1/2 Harry and Hermione minifigures - A $40 buildable Fawkes the Phoenix in the same style as the Hedwig from last year. - A $250 D2C set, which will be a collection of brickbuilt "Hogwarts Icons", so probably a display featuring items such as the Sword of Gryffindor, Sorting Hat, Golden Snitch, and Pensieve. - A polybag, about which nothing is known - A $40 Advent Calendar, which will include figures of Harry (same casual variant from Diagon Alley), Ron, Hermione, Dudley (in PJs), and Griphook (from the first movie). Apparently, at least one of these sets will also include a new golden minifigure, as it's been confirmed that there will be more in addition to the six that are already known. -

I checked through all of his comments and couldn't find anything. I also thought I remembered someone saying there would be three more, but I'm starting to think that was just forum speculation from someone. Anyway, I think the buildable figures and Fawkes probably won't have golden figures, just a normal Dumby figure for the Fawkes set, perhaps a variant of CoS Dumbledore with a hat. I think the D2C will come with Golden Dumbledore, and the Advent will include Golden Hagrid (the calendar includes Dudley, DA Harry, and PS Griphook, it's really weird that Hagrid apparently isn't included, so this would make sense). Not sure about the polybag, that ultimately depends on whether it's a GWP or a standard poly for purchase. -

Both Paul Seeley and FalconFan have said there are more figures, but neither of them specified how many are left. -

Wow, I was right! Now I'm really excited for these, and I hope they pop up in other themes as well, like Star Wars, DC, Ninjago, etc. Judging by the piece count and price, I imagine they'll be around 8x the size of a minifig, or 2.5x the size of the midifigs- I imagine each foot will be eight studs wide, with everything else scaled accordingly. At $60 each for something that will be very large, that's definitely a much better deal than a lot of other LEGO products, and I'm excited to see this hopefully blossom into another subtheme. That said, my one worry is that a big Hermione statue wouldn't look right without her uniform skirt, but they might leave it off the maxifigure (patent pending) to match with her minifig. -

Well, it's just the one Moments with a bad color scheme and very common characters, even if McGonagall is glorious. A set that definitely isn't a shelf warmer in my experience is Hedwig: That set seems to be one of the best-selling of the theme so far (or, at least easily the best of the 2020 wave), which I think is a better predictor of how well the August line might do. -

Potions, maybe, but from my observation the Transfiguration one sells terribly- My local stores all rarely have more than a couple total of the other three combined on shelves, while Transfiguration is in full stock, and my Walmart has already discounted them (and only them) at 20% off. LEGO's just keeping these two around becaus they're Gryffindor and Slytherin. -

Super excited for the Chess set. I'm interested to see whether the squares are built from multiple tiles like in older sets, or if they've introduced a 4x4 jumper or some equivalent to streamline the build and leave many more parts to go into the chess pieces themselves. Combine that with Golden Snape, and hopefully some accurate variances on Harry and Ron (Harry needs a tear in his sweater, and Ron should get a new face with an unconscious/"sleeping" alt), and this might end up being my favorite Anniversary set. -

Now that I think about it, the Fawkes set would be a more sensible place to plop in Goldendore than in a D2C. If that's the case, maybe Hagrid would be in the D2C? Either way, it's disappointing that we seemingly aren't getting McGonagall. If they aren't sticking exclusively to 2001 characters, I would've much rather had McGonagall over either of the two Voldys. Maybe in a polybag, but that hat/hair piece might be costly to have an exclusive recolor of in a polybag, perhaps Draco is more likely in that regard. -

Wow, these look great! I'm not a huge fan of the choice to make a Deathly Hallows-based Voldemort when all of the other figures are from Philosopher's Stone, but I can't deny that he looks really nice! The backgrounds also seem to match up with the sets, which implies that Snape will be in the Chess set (as I predicted) and Quirrell will be in a Flying Lesson set. That said, if they're revealing all of these at once, is it possible that the Chess and Flying Lesson will be June releases? We already know Chess is a retail exclusive, and, since we didn't know anything specific about Quidditch, it's likely that it's a retail exclusive as well. That setup makes more sense to me- six minifigure scale sets in June, with two being exclusives, and then a couple brickbuild sets and a D2C in August. Very excited for these, and hopefully it means that set pictures are coming soon. -

I wouldn't consider a minifig-scale ball chest in a Flying Lesson set to be brickbuilt, though I suppose that technically the chest itself would qualify, as it is two interlocking pieces. -

I mean, it's not impossible, it's just that it's a lot to spend on one golden figure. Then again, Golden Dumby would require three new recolors (hair/hat, beard, robe legs), so maybe it's not that unlikely. -

The odds of them making both Quirrell and GoF Voldy as golden figures is quite low. Voldy wouldn't fit with the rest of the golden cast, who are all from the first film. Neat! I imagine it'll have a golden Snape, and the D2C, as we all expect, will have the legendary Golden Dumbledore. Add in a Golden Draco in a Flying Lesson set (see below), and we'd have the full 2001 LEGO HP cast in gold (except Hagrid, since they wouldn't recolor four molds just for him, and Peeves, because he's not in the films). As mentioned above, I'm pretty sure the $30 August set will be a minifig-scale Flying Lesson, a retail exclusive Anniversary set to release in June with the others, with Hooch, Harry, Neville, and a golden Draco. (And maybe Wood, but that might be wishful thinking.) Firstly, while FF confirmed it wouldn't be a buildable Snitch or broom, and then he started dropping hints toward a Remembrall, he never explicitly said it'd be a buildable Remembrall- I checked. We're getting a Remembrall, but not necessarily brickbuilt. Similarly, after confirming there would not be a brickbuilt Snitch, he started hinting that there would be a Quidditch set with a Snitch, but not just a Snitch. This leads me to believe that one of the sets will include a Quidditch ball chest, since that would fit both parameters. Secondly, a Remembrall is a glass ball full of red fog, which you really can't build in LEGO without having it chock full of ugly edges and 45⁰ slopes in place of roundness. Thirdly, Hooch isn't a sensible figure to have with that or any buildable set, and isn't mainstream enough to headline a set in any case. Fourthly, if this set was an Anniversary set actually releasing in June, as opposed to August, it would explain how the Hooch figure has already leaked, way before any other August pieces. Fifthly and finally, when KNN "leaked" that the $30 set would be a Moments Quidditch lesson, Guyon had to check with his sources. If the set was a buildable Remembrall, he wouldn't have had to check- he'd have immediately known it was fake. But, it's definitely possible he'd need to check if the actual set was an Anniversary Flying Lesson, as opposed to a Moments version. So, yeah, that's a theory. If it's wrong, it'd be much appreciated if one of our appreciated leakers could definitively state whether this remaining set is for minifigures, even if they can't reveal what it actually is. -

While I'd love to get a UCS Hogwarts Express at some point, that April Fools set was a pretty obvious fake. They'd never include that many students in one set, especially since that would require several tranicars to fit them all, plus we know Golden Quirrell is coming in the Chamber of Secrets. -

Dang, the D2C seems to be shaping up to be better and better by the day! Since we know that the first half of May is fully reserved for Star Wars, I imagine the set will release on June 1, with a VIP release around May 18 with a reveal around May 10. I've been thinking about it, and here's what I think is a fairly plausible figure selection prediction, going off of what's confirmed, what's been rumored, what can be inferred, and perhaps just a hint of wishlisting. 1. Spider-Man (Duh. Same as 2021 figure) 2. Peter Parker (Pretty necessary for a big Daily Bugle. I really hope we finally get a new specific Peter face. I'd love a classic Ditko look, but I think it's more likely they'd do a Tom Holland face if anything, so they can get more mileage out of it.) 3. Gwen Stacy (Based on her classic appearance. Using the Incredibles "Violet" hairpiece in blonde. I doubt they'd do a new face for her, so I think Luna's from HP would be an acceptable reuse.) 4. Miles Morales (Casual. Would have a closed version of the hoodie print from his mech, and would have a (probably reused) face print and a hairpiece instead of the mask and hood. 5. J. Jonah Jameson (Obvious. Hopefully we'll get a classic suspenders look. For the face, I imagine they'll go with a Raimi-style J.K. Simmons likeness, since every version of the last 20 years has been emulating his performance.) 6. Betty Brant (Using the bob hair in dark brown. New torso print with a reused face, possibly Tina's from FB.) 7. Robbie Robertson (New face print, since no current ones fit for the grey eyebrows. Torso can be a generic suit print.) 8. Eddie Brock (Alter-egos are always great, and this one's a great fit for the Bugle. If it's classic, he'd need a new face print to be accurate. If they go with a more modern or movie-based look, I could see them reusing Poe's face from SW.) 9. Venom (Confirmed, same since 2019) 10. Doctor Octopus (Not sure on appearance. Could be 2021, could be 2019, could be new. I think they'll include him because a big octopus man climbing the Daily Bugle would help liven up the exterior.) 11. Black Cat (Confirmed) 12. Daredevil (Confirmed) 13. Punisher (Confirmed) 14. Kingpin (Bigfig, using new Thanos head and body moulds) 13 minifigs plus a bigfig seems like a bit much to hope for, but, for $300, I think it's fair to expect a good selection, at least 10-12. -

Yeah, they're definitely loading this set with all sorts of fantastic new pieces, creatures, and minifigures to entice the fans who aren't sold on this new style of castle. In general, I'm really satisfied with how this Great Hall remake is done. It's in an entirely different style to the previous, and includes new scenarios and good figures. It definitely justifies itself, even if you already have a previous Great Hall (or if you're like me, and have every previous Great Hall). I wish more LEGO remakes could be like this, and less like what we typically see from Star Wars, though thankfully the 2021 winter wave also changed things up somewhat in the remake category. -

Since it has no printing, I imagine it's to decorate Dumbledore's lectern in the Chamber of Secrets set.
