Well I’m not scum. And I don’t really understand how inheriting a kill results in there being no kill last night. Surely if a scum was player was to inherit a kill they would use it immediately.

Excellent we caught a scum. Good work Town. Now this information that’s come to light is interesting. Mr Holton. It would be nice to hear from you and your thoughts on the matter.

I’ve played Jailkeeper twice in past voyages. And neither one had a blocker AND a Jailkeeper. Just a Jailkeeper. I don’t think a scum would come and claim Blocker unless they were 100% sure the town blocker was dead. So I’m willing to give Louisa the benefit of the doubt. That’s a good point. And if Barty was protected I guess that makes him town right? I’m still weary as to who to believe. I’m still not sure if I buy a Jailkeeper and a blocker in the same game. I know I’m Town. The towniest of the town to be precise. I’m going to go with Triggs’s block and Vote: Bartholomew Brewster

I apologise for my delay folks. A block and no night kill doesn’t automatically mean that the person blocked is guilty. It could have been a protection, two people may have targeted the same player... It’s highly unlikely there would be two town blockers in one game. A Counterclaim isn’t improbable either, if you are scum it’s possible the real town blocker has claimed to Mr Triggs. You haven’t really offered a defence here, but rather “why would X do this?” “Why would Y do that?”

I think it's definitely worth looking into those who didn't vote for him. Playing WIFOM here, but it can be a scum tactic too deliberately NOT vote for a town player to make them look clean the next day.
-
If you have a role, then surely claiming it now would be better for the town to ensure no scum will be able to claim it later in the voyage. And why Day 3 specifically? What will happen on Day 3 that allows you to utilise said action?

Unfortunately our logs don't tell us when a Pirate was last seen. I'd expect a scum to player to at least defend themselves a little. So perhaps he must have had other ship mate activities to attend to. Regardless, he is not helping whatever side he's on.
-
I apologise for not adressing your comment earlier. I had some other ship mate activites to attend to on Day One. So I had time to browse the thread but not actually post any comments. So I would have voted anyway at that time I did regardless of whether someone called me out.

Mr Ogden's response doesn't actually strike me as scummy but rather confusing. I can't put my finger on what I'm trying to say but I would just expect a scum to provide some kind of explanation rather than confuse everyone even further. I'd like to get a lynch today and out of the two main options I'm more happy to vote for Remy than I am Henry. Vote: Remy Fontaine

I only really became suspicious of the votes when Malcom voted for Pinkerton as it occurred to me people were just getting easy votes here. I find Gordon somewhat suspicious. His reason being that it was a “wake up” vote. I didn’t understand the logic since voting for someone won’t immediately make them come online. It felt like an attempt to jump on a bandwagon early. I find this statement a little... off. If you truly were surprised that you made it through the night, for whatever reason, then why would you announce that publicly? If anything this is now going to make the scum MORE interested in you. This sounds like the kind of statement a scum would say make to appear as if they had a PR role.
-
I wouldn’t really say that I was deflecting attention away from him. I just didn’t think what he said was scummy enough to warrant a vote. And I said I was happy to let it slide for now. So I didn’t let him of the hook completely. I WILL agree with you about the votes for Mr Pinkerton. Our Captain confirmed Mr Pinkerton was M.I.A. So he wouldn’t have been able to defend himself against any accusations. Which makes me uneasy about the votes on him.
-
Something is pinging me about the votes for Mr Pinkerton. It’s worth noting he didn’t respond to the roll call we had a few days prior; and he’s listed as “temporarily M.I.A. by our Captain. So it feels a wee bit suspicious going after a player who you know will be able to respond or counter. To clarify the last sentence was meant to say “Somit feels a wee bit suspicious going after a player who you know will NOT be able to respond or counter”

Shiver me timbers! I have been around today but I could only browse the discussion briefly without having time to put together any thoughts. I apologise. The votes are more spread out today. I think it would help if we narrowed down the choice of lynches to 2 or 3 as oppose to 7. Even if we don’t get a lynch today, at least it will reduce the one off votes and get a better idea of what people’s feelings are. Out of the lynches that have received multiple votes I’m more inclined to vote for Barry Brewster. He was called out (which is perfectly normal on Day One) but the responded by just voting. Remy’s comment earlier came off as role playing than anything else. So I’m happy to let it slide for now. Vote: Barty Brewster. For Days 2 and 3? Maybe not. But as our time on this Imperial Ridden ship increases it can be useful to come back and look at the voting pattern. Especially when we might know the allegiance of some of the players. This is why I think it would be useful to narrow down the voting pool. Imperial Scum often like to spread their votes out. So by having 2 or 3 lynch choices it means that later on our voyage, when we have more information. It leaves a pretty good estimate as to where they were hiding in the votes. And therefore can narrow down options as to who the scum might be.
-
Day one lynch/no lynch is always a messy situation. In the short run it doesn't appear to help us at all. But in the long run when we know the allegiances of more players things said and votes cast on Day One become more crucial. I'm slightly leaning towards a lynch. Purely because it's always interesting to see which players were pushing for the lynch and which players were more reserved.

I sea what you did there, with all this talk of scurvy I’ll be needin’ a clap of thunder before the day is over.

Blow me down! We must rid ourselves of these Imperial Soldiers!
