Lego Lad

I have just seen them now on Instagram... OH MY GOD! I'M IN LOVE... that Harry is so perfect, just as I pictured him, honestly by far one of the best Harry minifigs so far. Lloyd's hair in black is honestly so perfect and fits him really well, and Harry's new face print looks really good as well. Hard to see his torso print (but obviously it will just be a red version of Cedric's), but I'd imagine it looks amazing and I love how they have given him the dark red arms, fits so well and of course he has the mid legs as expected. Cedric and Krum's heads are mixed up, but starting with Cedric, I actually love the look of him too. The Triwizard uniform in Hufflepuff colours is really nice to get and also they have given Cedric some leg printing as well, I don't mind Cedric's new face because it does look like him enough. Krum looks good, besides his face print not including stubble, I think it's honestly not a big deal. Finn's hair was the best choice to go with, and I love his torso print showing his school logo (forgot the specific name of the logo). Fleur looks good as well, I have kind of gotten used to the face print she has, at the end of the day it's a female face with blonde eyebrows, it's not like Lego made her face look nothing like Fleur at all. I actually really love her torso print, her jacket looks really nice. The hair isn't that bad either, I suppose like some people have said it could have been a more accurate colour but I don't mind. I love that Harry minifig, probably going to be my favourite minifig of this whole wave I can already tell. I will be getting this Triwizard first task set on day 1. Literally when it comes out lol.

I thought so, it does suit Sirius and to think we will be getting the piece again in a new colour in the cheapest set of this wave, along with that new stag piece. I'm so excited for this wave aha.

I have a feeling they are just going to use the same Han Solo hair from the CMF for Ron in these new sets, but what if Lego surprises us with a brand new hair mould for Goblet of Fire Ron? Imagine that lol, I mean last years wave of sets and the CMF introduced loads of new hair pieces so maybe this years wave has a couple of new hair pieces as well? Also, are we all guessing Sirius Black will get Mad Eye Moody's hair piece from the CMF in black or dark brown?

I think it is a $90 set, and so was the Great Hall from last year right? So I'm guessing it will have 3-4 rooms in total, maybe just 2, who knows.

I'll be grabbing the Triwizard set off the shelf first that's for sure aha, the set has the dragon and all four champions in it, it's probably going to be my favourite set of the wave.

If I can't get them all on day 1 I will probably get the Patronus set and the Triwizard First Task set to start things off aha.

Yeah it's been a long time coming for a new set based on the first task, I haven't got the original either so I'm happy I will be able to get this new version, honestly I might pick most of these sets, if not all of them as soon as they come out aha.

Yeah I am looking forward to how Harry turns out, like with Lloyd's hair piece in black, new face print, and a new torso print for his first task robes (possibly battle damaged). I think Harry in this set will turn out to be one of the best minifigs in this wave, at least to me personally.

Personally, at this point, I have gotten used to Cedric and Fleur's face prints, but for Krum's Lego should have added his goatee in my opinion but oh well and to be fair, we will be getting brand new face prints for other minifigs in this wave, it's not like every character will have a re used head lol. I think it was for the best that Lego decided to make two new moulds for the stag and Buckbeak because if we got them brick built, they would have looked really bad I think, like actually picture the Buckbeak from that Dimensions pack in the upcoming Hagrid's Hut set, people would have complained so much aha.

I just want to see a leaked image of the Goblet of Fire Harry with his first task robes on lol.

Even more messed up when you think about him being Ron's pet rat that hes had in his room and takes everywhere with him for years lol.

When I first think about it, my mind says that scene should be a bigger set because it's an important scene in the film and lots of characters were present during it, however Lego could make it into a small $15 set, considering they made a small cheap set back in 2011 I think, of when Harry meets Voldermort in the forbidden forest which was an important scene, and that small set came with 4 minifigs and a snake, plus a small tree build.

*Fingers crossed* aha. Honestly though, there are so many more sets they could do for Harry Potter, like new parts of the castle as play sets, different areas as smaller sets, new specific scenes from each film we haven't got before and there is still characters they haven't updated with new prints or even made into minifigs yet. I know it's probably been mentioned a lot, but hopefully next year or whenever we do end up with a new Chamber of Secrets set, with a better basilisk with a moulded printed head piece. Also it's strange we still haven't got a new updated young teen Ginny Weasley minifig wearing the school uniform or something yet, I'm surprised they haven't thrown her into any of these upcoming sets, I'm guessing she will be in next year's wave of sets (if we do get more) or she will be in the Harry Potter CMF series 2 (if they make them).

Can I just say though I am so happy we are getting another new wave of Lego Harry Potter this year, I was scared we was only going to get those sets from last year and that was it, like for good. I am still a bit worried though, I feel like maybe after this year and next year they might just give it up again? Like in 2011? I really hope Lego doesn't stop making Harry Potter sets and just ends up making a few Fantastic Beasts sets and that's it. There is still a big fan base for Harry Potter Lego sets, and obviously they would have made a lot of money from the sets last year, and people will still be willing to pay a lot of money for new sets. Lego always makes new sets every year for Star Wars based on the original old trilogy and prequel films, so why can't they keep Harry Potter as a theme every year from now on?

I hope we get the pumpkin patch area next to the hut, like with some huge brick built pumpkins maybe? Also the part where Buckbeak is tied up to can be connected to the pumpkin patch. It's so you can hide Harry and Hermione behind the pumpkins like from the time travel scene aha.

I am more excited aha, because it is more sets for the Goblet of Fire, back in 2005 they only made 4 or 5 sets for that specific film. I have ALWAYS wanted a new updated set of the first task, like a new dragon design, new Harry design in his first task robes etc. But also we now know for the Prisoner of Azkaban sets we are getting a new moulded Buckbeak and Stag which is such an improvement and upgrade from the brick built creatures we got last year, looks like Lego has really made an effort with Harry Potter this year, they could have easily gone with brick built creatures again but they didn't aha. I think my main excitement is we are getting more scene specific sets like the Triwizard dragon task, Yule Ball, Patronus scene etc which I am really excited to see pictures of.

The fact the stag piece is a brand new mould and not some brick built animal, is incredible. This is why I love Harry Potter sets, we will be getting the stag in a small cheap set, which is easy for everyone to get and affordable, I will be picking up that set the day it comes out, might even buy another to keep in the box aha. Love the stag being in a clear see through plastic and love the sparkly glitter bits inside it's a nice added touch Lego could have skipped out on. I'm also happy Buckbeak is moulded, and we didn't just get that brick built version that came in that Lego Dimensions pack with Hermione, could you imagine if we got that?.. lol. I don't mind the small simple printing on the head part, I feel like more simple printing is more effective than going over the top with too much and I actually really like how his front leg is curved like how he poses in the film.

Yeah I have a feeling they might just use the Han Solo hair for him again and honestly I wouldn't be bothered if they used the same hair he had from the 2010 sets, but we will see.

Hermione will probably have a happy smiling face on one side and then an upset face on the other aha. I am curious what hair piece they will use for Ron, a longer hair piece or the same Han Solo one from the CMF series?

I mean I can accept the faces but the face they have given Krum could have worked if it also had a small goatee which the actor had, no idea why Lego used a completely clean shaven face print lol. I mean honestly an existing face print with a full stubble would have worked better than clean shaven.

Yeah I'd say its guaranteed we will get new teen face prints for Harry, Ron and Hermione with two new expressions on each side and I'm looking forward to seeing how they look. I just hope they make another head for Harry that is exclusive to the first task set, where like I said he has one side with some battle damage and some dirt.

Honestly if anyone gets a new face print, I hope it's Harry in the first task set. I would love if you got one normal looking face on one side of an older teen Harry, and then the second face he is more serious and has the little cut on his left cheek (like my current profile picture image) to show the battle damage he gets flying from the dragon. They could maybe add some dirt on his face too, but that might be overdoing it with too much detail.

I agree. They are the three Triwizard Champions chosen from the cup (not including Harry) and if they come in a Triwizard task set they should all have new face prints, but oh well, at the end of the day like people here have said you can always swap out the heads. I won't be doing that though I will just come to accept how they look aha.
