  1. I mean, even the original ones in 2018 were definitely more about the creatures than locations. And from the looks of it there are a decent number of larger creatures that could be the basis of small to medium sized sets. Plus, the way they handled the latest Spider-Man movie (one set based off each of the three movies but with the same boxart for all of them) could have worked for the FB franchise as well.
  2. The leaks do state we’re getting a Thestral foal (as well as an adult Thestral) in the Hogwarts Carriage set. Fawkes was introduced two years ago, and is not a new mold. We might be getting him in the Dumbledore’s Office set, but I don’t recall if he was specifically mentioned in the leaks. Pixies were introduced last year, and there’s no indication that any will appear in any of this year’s sets. As far as other animals we know will appear in the summer sets: Sirius’ Rescue will have Buckbeak and Dumbledore’s Office is supposed to have Mrs. Norris (who should need at least a new color and print if not a new mold). Logic would indicate that we’ll also likely see a black dog (again - needs at least a new color and print) and a rat in the Shrieking Shack. And personally I have a hunch that lego is planning to slip Crookshanks in there somewhere, but that’s pure speculation. So definitely a new Thestral foal mold, and MAYBE a new dog and/or cat mold.
  3. We’ll definitely be seeing repeats in sets like the Shrieking Shack and Sirius’ Rescue, and I imagine the Harry we get in the Hogwarts Carriage set won’t be too different from the other OotP versions we got in 2020. I’m also not expecting anything wildly new for the students, Snape, and Filch in the Dumbledore’s Office set. We are guaranteed a new version in the Ministry at least. If the leakers are right and it’s DH based then the trio will be polyjuiced versions and have new heads with Runcorn/Cattermole/Hopkirk faces. The Harry/Goyle and Ron/Crabbe minifigures from last year both gave us new expressions on the Harry/Ron side of the head, so I can definitely see that happening for the ministry trio as well.
  4. If we don’t see any soon then we might not get any at all. Which is entirely possible given how things have been going on the leak front recently. If we do get any leaks, I personally hope they’re from the as yet unnamed retailer exclusive set, since that could tell us what it actually is.
  5. If we get DH Gringotts then we’ll at least get Hermione polyjuiced as Bellatrix, and they’ll have to do a new print for that! XD Plus, now that DH sets are finally on the table, I feel like it’s only a matter of time before we get sets based on the Battle of Hogwarts, and both sisters are pretty integral to important parts of the battle. I expect to get newer versions of both sooner or later.
  6. A very useful list. And while we haven’t had any characters on the list confirmed as coming in the summer wave, there’s still possibilities. Crouch Sr. is a decent candidate as an exclusive minifig for the Hungarian Horntail, and if 76480 is Grimmauld as some of us theorize then Kreacher could appear as well. Not to mention the number of characters who could make an appearance in whatever the D2C is.
  7. That could be possible I suppose. Rumors are that 40560 and 40577 are Harry Potter themed, and since they’re non-sequential numbers that suggests we’re getting an accessory pack and a brickheadz set. So it’s possible that ‘Professors of Hogwarts’ is a brickheadz set, but… We also had leakers saying that 40560 specifically was the accessory pack and brickheadz are almost exclusively named after the character(s) that are in the set (i.e. ‘Voldemort, Bellatrix & Nagini’ as opposed to ‘Harry Potter Villains’, the Minions using actual names which I didn’t know those little yellow demons had, etc.). It’s not impossible that a brickheadz set could be called‘Professors of Hogwarts’, but it’s much more likely to be called ‘McGonagall, Snape & Lupin’ or something similar. I distinctly remember that the Hogwarts Students pack was originally thought to be a brickheadz set when its name first leaked, especially since the number was sequential with a Marvel set called Falcon and Black Widow. Then the images dropped and they were both accessory packs. So really, unless a well known reliable source gives us more details what can we say for sure?
  8. The only ‘details’ I’ve seen is that name, everything else has just been speculation based on how accessory packs are constructed. What’s there to misconstrue?
  9. Both Harry Potter series did it, so I don’t see why not. Preferably something similar to the lutist in series 22 with a unique new mold that they wouldn’t necessarily have the budget for in the main set.
  10. Really? I knew the original source was sketchy at best, but I thought it had been further corroborated by someone more reliable. Oh well, at least that means a Quidditch army builder is still on the table.
  11. You seem to be incorrectly assuming that I’m talking about getting a new version of Sinistra when I’m not. This is theorizing about an accessory pack so it’s extremely likely that 3/4 characters will be nothing but recycled parts. Hence why I postulated that we’d get 1. a reuse of an extremely popular teacher (specifically McGonagall or Snape), 2. a repeated DADA teacher (since we’ve already got at least one version of all of them) as well as Sinistra and a new teacher (using the new prints) filling out the last two spots. I figured that Sinistra would be a decent candidate for the third ‘repeat’ slot because she’s only appeared in a single high priced set and she’s got a very distinctive witchy look while also adding a bit of diversity. However, I’m perfectly willing to acknowledge that the third slot could be a random kitbash or that lego might bring back PoA onwards Flitwick (since it’s been awhile since we’ve seen him). The last two Harry Potter accessory packs have given us a new named character each, so we’re pretty much guaranteed a new named professor if the upcoming accessory pack is indeed Hogwarts Professors, so I suspect the few new prints will be used on them - the other three characters will not have new outfits.
  12. Lol, I see what you did there. But to be fair, the problem with that set is less the subject matter and more the fact that only Kreacher and Mundungus are in the scene. They both have pretty limited screen time in the movies after all. Not saying we won’t get them in Minifigure form sooner or later, but a set with just the two of them wouldn’t sell with kid and casual fans.
  13. Yeah, but that’s just a second to show where he was before Kreacher dragged him back to Grimmauld Place and not a full scene, so I purposely didn’t count it. You have to admit “Knockturn Alley: Kreacher Assaults and Kidnaps Mundungus” is never going to make it onto a lego set list.
  14. Honestly, given that in the movies Mundungus only appears in the Flight of the Seven Potters (where he’s probably the lowest priority for characters to actually be included) and Grimmauld Place (and I think we can all agree that OotP Grimmauld >>>> DH1 Grimmauld), I personally think that a kitbash in an Order accessory pack would be the best and easiest way to get ‘Dung.
  15. Logically it should be sometime this week, but sometimes they leave it so late there are third party sellers who’ve already broken street date and put them on shelves.
  16. In addition to the ‘new’ brown owl from 2020, last year’s accessory pack also included the acid pops and potions ingredients jars and the Professor Sinistra hat - all of which were only introduced that summer, so it’s entirely possible that a good number of the cool ‘reused’ parts will be things we haven’t even seen yet :) That being said, I definitely agree with you about always wanting more owls. And if Lockhart ends up being the representative DADA teacher (and I maintain that a Hogwarts Professors pack has to have a DADA professor, although I’m not completely convinced it will be Lockhart) then lego would definitely need to include pixies (the two in the CoS set just aren’t enough for a proper chaotic swarm imho).
  17. And despite being a robot cat from what what we’ve been shown in the trailers, the lego version nicely passes as a normal cat.
  18. Madam Pince yes, but I think Professor Vector could make do with a recolor of the series 12 Princess hat. (And with the rumored Castle set coming out, a recolor of that piece is definitely a possibility)
  19. I won’t argue with you on the Carrow siblings, but Charity Burbage herself isn’t a particularly dark character - she just has the misfortune of being killed off in the only scene she appears in. And isn’t an accessory pack basically the perfect solution for that? Third task Cedric is also too ‘dark’ to be included in a set by that logic, and lego got around that by putting him in a CMF. Including Professor Burbage in an accessory pack with fellow teachers is the perfect way to give us a named Hogwarts Professor with an actual speaking role while also avoiding any ‘about to be murdered’ connotations. As for the ‘not overly recognizable’ problem - are you not remembering the exclusive characters from the previous packs? Borgin only gets a single line and jump scare in the original cut of the movie, and he only gets addressed by name in a deleted scene. Hannah Abbot is even worse off, she was relegated to an extra in the theatrical release, and was only given a speaking role (and actually identified as Hannah) in the deleted scenes/extended release. The new characters introduced in these accessory packs have always been there for the completionists and hardcore potterheads, I’m pretty sure the kids and casual fans weren’t picking them up and saying ‘omg it’s Mr. Borgin!’ That’s why the previous packs always included Harry, and why I expect this pack will feature McGonagall/Snape and a DADA Professor making up half the lineup, specifically so the other characters can be less recognizable.
  20. If the Professors of Hogwarts rumor is legit (which I would be a tiny bit disappointed by, because it can’t be that hard to do the obvious quidditch pack), then I think the most likely Minifigure lineup would be: 1. McGonagall or Snape - taking the position of easily recognizable character from Harry. Theoretically, Dumbledore is also possible, but my money is on the actual teachers, since this year’s Dumbledore’s Office set should be the first time they’ve done a normal Gambon Dumbledore since the 2018 CMF, and lego wouldn’t want to detract from that. And given that the Dumbledore’s Office set is supposed to feature McGonagall in a black outfit, I’d put better odds on it being her in her normal clothes (or maybe her Hogsmeade outfit?) 2. Lupin or Lockhart - because you can’t have a professors pack without a DADA professor, and it’s not going to be Moody since he just got a Moments set. I would have said that Lupin was more likely, since lego is doing PoA stuff this year and he doesn’t have a cape, but last year’s accessory pack didn’t fit with the SS/CoS anniversary theme and the upcoming marvel pack has capes, so… (although if they do give us Lockhart they better give us some more pixies so we can make a proper swarm) 3. Sinistra - previously available only in a high priced set, plus she just has a cool design and adds a little diversity 4. New Character - both the previous accessory packs gave us a new named character (Hannah Abbot and Borgin) so I think the odds of getting a professor we’ve never seen in lego form before are high. That being said, the number of professors that haven’t been done before is pretty low. So far as I know Charity Burbage is the only teacher with a speaking part who hasn’t been made as a Minifigure yet, and admittedly this is the only ‘safe’ way lego could give her to us. Other possibilities include Grubbly-Plank and Vector, since I think the characters have been ‘assigned’ to specific extras in the way Sinistra was (although out of the two I think Grubbly-Plank is more likely, as she played a decent role in two books while Vector was only name dropped once). While not technically a professor, I believe the librarian Madam Pince has a specifically cast actress and distinct appearance. And while I know some people will whine about this - Professor Binns is the last remaining teacher of a core subject, and while he didn’t appear on screen he has been showing up in other Warner Bros owned properties. Plus, if they stuck to the glow in the dark format they used for Nick last year then a ghost professor would just look awesome - even for the small selection of people who didn’t know who he was.
  21. DH based MoM means the Umbridge in it will be wearing her garishly kitschy knitted cat stole - I can’t wait. Umbridge racked up an impressive wardrobe for a character who only appeared in two movies, but that was the only outfit of hers left that I really wanted lego to make. Here’s also hoping we’ll see a new piece for the horocrux locket; after all, it would be pretty hard to steal it if it was printed on Umbridge’s torso, and that’s the whole point of the scene!
  22. Oh? That definitely sounds promising Not that the presence of Dementors in the character lineup wasn’t a pretty strong indication, but every new piece of information we get solidifies the rumors
  23. I certainly wouldn’t discount it, if only because there are some obvious ones in there like pirates, forestmen, and classic space. But on the other hand, there are definitely a few that lego wouldn’t put in a CMF (for instance, ‘Motorcycle Dude’ is hardly going to make an appearance when lego had their City Stuntz line). And obviously it’s way too late for these poll to have any impact on what appears in series 23.
  24. Well, a good deal of physical leaks are dependent on what light fingered minifig leakers can readily tell is new and exciting, so we can make some educated guesses. - Hogwarts Carriage: Luna and the baby Thestral (Harry might get a new torso print, but it would be a fairly subtle one) - Sirius’ Rescue: possibly none, although if the ‘Ginny Weasley’ described by leakers was just a placeholder, then that character might be interesting enough to leak. - Dumbledore’s Office: if McGonagall is indeed in black as promobricks suggested, then there’s a good chance she’ll leak (it’s just a question of whether lego will pull another Moments Trelawney or if we’ll see her in the black outfit she wears in Dumbledore’s office in GoF). Mrs. Norris should also be different enough from previous cats to potentially leak. - Ministry of Magic: pretty much all of these Minifigures could be potential leaks (except the dementors). - Hungarian Horntail: previous buildable creatures have always included an exclusive Minifigure, and the exclusive Harry that came with Hedwig leaked early, so it’s not impossible this one might too. - Shrieking Shack: we might not know the exact lineup yet, but we know pretty much all the characters, and unless Lupin gets a significant update since 2018 the only ‘new’ designs will be Peter Pettigrew and hopefully Werewolf Lupin and Padfoot. - retailer exclusive: personally, I love to see just about anything leak from this, since that would confirm what it is (although maybe something already has leaked? *eyes lavender hair piece*) Personally, I’m hoping most for leaks from the Ministry of Magic or the mysterious retailer exclusive, since those could actually confirm what movie it’s from or what it is respectively. But I’d also love to see Werewolf Lupin and any of the animals leak (Padfoot and Mrs. Norris need new colors at the very least, if not new molds, and I have a hunch that Crookshanks will have snuck into the Shack or retailer exclusive).
