  1. As this is, it is an extremely beautiful ship! I would gladly sail my crew aboard her!
  2. The solder looks lonely, I think he either needs A. A nice pirate female to keep him company B. Plenty of bottles of rum or C. a plethora of soldiers to accompany him in case of a pirate attack!
  3. Great job with this design, good use of both old/new pieces.
  4. This is quite the amazing ship, I can't wait to see what the crew look like. Arggghhh.
  5. I love your minifigure designs/set-ups, well done!!
  6. I think the Islanders sub-theme is one of the most "classic" of them all. I believe this line came out in the hayday of pirates and was a great addition....ahh with every MOC with an Islanders theme I am transformed back to my youth and blissful summer days... Anyways, not sure about the rock formation? If this was natural or man-made...or shall I say Islander-made, haha...but none the less always fantastic to see these on here and well well done with this one!!
  7. This is a great little MOC. Using my imagination I could see brickbeard cruising down the water way to escape the great croc as he continues unabated on his mission to find his treausre! And we thought the blue coats and red coats were his adversary... The only thing I would say is it would look great with some sort of continuation. So maybe a port of some sort or other inifigs on the side looking on...
  8. What a MOC! This is about 100-times better than the creator lighthouse LEGO came out with..I especially love the house built into the side, gives it a great overall "piratey" feel.
  9. I think simple MOC's like this ellude a great significance for custom LEGO builds. Simple yet elegant. I can imagine hours and hours of playability all around this little MOC with big possibilities! Good Job!
  10. What a great weekend MOC! Such an awesome way to spend a few hours of a day... I think the blue coat aspect is so simple, yet complements so well. Good Job.
  11. I think the classic pirates themes have more nostalgia for AFOL and AFOl are those who remember the BSB and Imperial Trading Post, etc. Now its all about POTC, which is fine..but IMO we are at a juncture, I think POTC have a way to go and clearly TLG does what they want when they want and Im sure have dozens of ideas floating around (which ultimately might end up in a handful of sets or at least another wave of POTC), will we see the classic pirates return? Yeah I think we will..Im always searching the net for blogs and other inside scoops, will it be soon? No, probably not, in fact, very very doubtful. One can hope, but you might wanna hope for other things right now. TLG knows how popular and how much money that the classic pirates earned for them and there is no way, I believe, they would ever let this be a thing of the past...but you never know....
  12. I'm strongly going to have to argue for Classic. Without our great 1989 release date where would Pirates be? To me, nothing can take away from the grandour of these original sets. Of course, I think for many AFOL there is more sentimentality behind it than anything else. Not that this licensed theme, or any other for that matter isnt astounding, it is, but give me my yellow, classic pirates with a monkey and a parrot and I'm all set.
