  1. You're kidding right, mine cost about 110 euro
  2. you build so enormously good looking buildings/landscapes etc.....i always your moc's
  3. The “Modus Navum Flectere Sebeum” technique looks very, very, very good , but i wonder how to build a stable ship with this technique, it would also requires a heap load of bricks and ages to build it , the upside down roof technique is more usuable and it would make a fine ship, if i had the bricks for it i would try it immediately
  4. Walt Thompson, a photographer and moviemaker from Atlanta has proposed to his girlfriend on a very unique way. He made a stop motion movie from Lego's, made about 2600 pics for it She obviously said yes. I thought it was worth sharing. Here's the thread; Proposal
  5. That's one of the best builds i've ever seen as an entrance for a city everything is just amazing, i love the trebuchet and all of the wooden outbuilds
  6. The first one looks very good, i love brown ships , the second one looks to bulky in the beginning / front IMO.
  7. You're going to build in in real life I can't wait to see it finished, it looks good in LDD....good luck!
  8. I think i have spent a few hundred Euro's for new sets....not that much when i look at the spending of other AFOL's
  9. Wow, a real telly 'i's amazing, i don't think i've seen this before, the mvoing parts are unique, i love it all
  10. It looks good, you certainly looked at the variety of tutorials in this forum, i don't like the blue part though, it look a bit bulky, overall it looks very nice, custom sails and rigging
  11. This is an amazing build, i love all the tiling work (so many tiles ), the trains are also amazing, this has a real looking feel to me, not at all a Lego feel but still it is
  12. This is a fantastic ship , i've watched it during the WIP and i like it, especcially the modularity and the curving of the ship, like others said this hasn't been seen before with slopes and inverted slopes, i don't like the rigging though but the rest of the shop compensates enourmously .
  13. Everybody thanks for all the fantastic coments! Thanks for being blogged! Indeed i don't have enough tiles to tile the deck, as fot the gunports it would require 1x3 and 2x3 flat tiles as they are now (but studded) if i just would stick tiles on the gunports they would be too fat, i tried that and i didn't liked it. Thanks, i wasn't expecting being frontpaged, thanks to the Euobricks admin! Mmmmm.....you're a bit right but if i wanted it to be less blocky it would require many many 1x2 tiles with one stud in the middle, than i would build a very sleek ship, i'm already thinking about it but it requires a Bricklink order and i don't have the cash for it right now. It took me about 150 hours to build, perhaps more...but thanks for the comment.
  14. All time favorite;
  15. Wow this looks just like the scene in Star Wars, i love it Sick that it's working also
  16. O yes please , you're ketch ship looks beautiful, i love the tiled deck, can't wait for your next MOC.
  17. Wow, this is amazing, i love the stone works , the chimney, the wood works and the snowy details
  18. [pid][/pid] 117A Finally my WIP is ready, i've named here the Prinses Nikki (Nikki is my daughter's name, she's just 3 years old) She started as the Red Whale, here's the WIP Thread; The Red Whale Some statistics; Waterline lenght; 62 cm Overall lenght; 78 cm Width; 17 cm at the waterline Hight; 78 cm About 80 m1 of string rigging. 36 Guns Weighs about 4,62 kg Took me about 3 months to build (at 4 times a week 3 to 4 hours building) I used several techniques from CGH; the tumblehome (although i used roofs from cars instead of hinges), the rigging and the sails, thanks for all the tutorials!!, before i was on this forum my ships were boxed, not any use of tumblehome or that sort of things , this forum helped me a lot to improve my ship building . I also used the building plans from the russian ship the Priediestinacja, i used it for measurements and rigging. The flags are from the Dutch VOC and in the top of the main mast is the Admirals flag (the Dutch used it to point out that the admirality is on board). I've made no interiour because of all the special techniques i used it became a mess inside. The hatches are a bit bigger than mostly used in this forum, it was because i don't have enough hatches so i came up to this (and it looks quite nice IMO ) Well hope you like it;
  19. That's going to be HUGE ans very detailled, keep up the good work I'm wondering how you're going to integrate those sand green pieces at the back?
  20. I got the kings castle from Lego Kingdoms, awesome quantity of pieces in it I use it for my future MOC's
  21. Well thank you....but it's more that i've bought some new sets than that my building skills are improving, the style that Derfel builds acquires a lot of round studs en SNOT briks and i didn't had to much of them untill now
  22. Here's a house for the Avalonian Town (Inspired by Derfel);
  23. Truly inspired by Derfel, he infects everyone with the great MOC-ing virus This is a fantastic MOC well done
  24. It's not faster imo but i've experiencing no more time outs since the upgrade, that's a significant improvement, well done and thanks, makes me apreciate (?) the site more and more, i'm realy turning out to be an addict of eurobricks, checking at absolute minimum once a day, avarage 10 times a day .
  25. Thanks for the comment, i always appreciate your opinion, as for the machine you're a little bit right but i've built it with the movie underworld in the back of my mind, i didn't wan't to make it to modern with electrical powers so i used Mythical powers
