I personally don't really care what helmet they use as both look really good to me. But I do want them to just pick one and stick with it as last years MK2, Hotrod and Blue Steel do look a bit out of place next to the rest of the armors (not counting MK1 as the Invincible helmet works really well for that armor).

Take this with a big grain of salt for now but I have reason to believe the new robes that will be included in the Advent Calendar (as previously reported by Stonewars) will be the ones worn by 1st year students before getting sorted: Not too sure about popular but I'm confident LEGO will want to take full advantage of the new Cornish Pixie mold so I'm expecting a Lockhart DATDA Moments set.

I don't really care what they do for his torso as there are plenty of existing pieces that could technically work but Obadiah desperately needs a new faceprint. While a lot of characters (like Pepper) get prints that make me think "not that good but close enough" there's really no face they could reuse on Obadiah that would give me the same feeling. Not even the Ematt face suggested by @Lego-Freak. He's just joking around

This description is pretty much exactly what I expected so it sounds great to me.

Not sure that's a good choice tbh. For the piece itself I'd go with Hermione (Year 3 and beyond) or Sharon Carter, color should be the same orange as the Weasleys as she's pretty much a ginger in IW. Though nougat would work too.
