Oh, and they also have a campaign that 60 people during the month will win around 100 dollars and 3 people will get tickets and accomodation to go to Legoland for 2 adults and 2 kids, etc. But I am sure you probably already heard all this on the net a week or two ago

OK, so Toyrs R Us Japan does have blocktober for this year starting tomorrow. They are not minifigures though. They are Mini sets with 4 themes. There are 4 cities in Asia each with a different season. There is nothing to do with regular series. But they do have 50 percent off many sets including some Harry Potter ones from the newest batch. Oh, and it is exclusive to toys R us.

The info will come out here around mid September if they have any Bricktober stuff happening and exactly what it is. So far they (TRU) have something planned but what it is, no one is saying.

The carriage and graveyard will definitely be coming in August to most stores and countries. I like how the recommended age for the graveyard scene is 7 years and up. Never too young to learn.

Believe it or not, if you read into Mr Random's points from earlier, there is more than just those things that were correct. Not giving any hints though. I'm not agreeing or saying it is all going to happen though. Take my words as only those and nothing more. Don't show too much negative feedback to others as this discussion if for people to share. Doubt, but don't attack.

Just wanted to apologize if i did offend anyone or go off topic here. I just want everyone to enjoy HP and Lego as much as I do.
-
Why keep saying the same thing? We are both right in our own way. Dont read too much into it. Again, take my words as only those and nothing more. Don't show too much negative feedback to others as this discussion if for people to share. Doubt, but don't attack.

@Whovastron True. It is just chance for some things between the book and the Lego sets to be the same. I dont mean to be rude. Just dont like the negativity and people going after others. I apologize for the second time today. But I do believe that Lego isnt always accurate with their likeness between movies and Lego Sets. (Just an opinion) Again, take my words as only those and nothing more. Don't show too much negative feedback to others as this discussion if for people to share. Doubt, but don't attack.

My poor son. You are reading into it too much. The definition is that one stated. That is all. Don't attack the messenger for showing a dictionary definition. They probably will not use a gaunt wolf as in the movies as it might not be quite appropriate for kids. (of course just my opinion, dont attack that too please.) Just to be clear. You stated what I said about the books right. --> Lego approves the designs <-- Did i say the books were a source for leaks? (Don't read into things too much. Attacking others is not what this forum was for) Also i do believe that Lego does indeed give some insight into possible figures and colors used in future sets (to a degree and then they are told not to display these pages when pre-selling a book). This will help some things blend more and seem more uniform between platforms. Please don't be a wet blanket for others. Again, take my words as only those and nothing more. Don't show too much negative feedback to others as this discussion if for people to share. Doubt, but don't attack.

Are you seriously saying that any book has free liberty with Lego products that are designed around Harry Potter? Free reign on a licensed product? Able to draw anything they want without the Lego company seeing or approving it? Does anyone else see holes in this? I was showing a bit of sarcasm before, but it probably wasn't appropriate anyway so i am glad you didn't pick up on it and i apologize. were·wolf Dictionary result for werewolf /ˈwerˌwo͝olf/ noun (in myth or fiction) a person who changes for periods of time into a wolf, typically when there is a full moon. So of course Lego would be crazy to use a wolf figure for a werewolf, or would they? Especially as they don't want to use just a mask anymore. And they dont want an unhealthy looking wolf or dog to represent Lupin. Also Lupin, literally means wolf in French. and as i said before Again, take my words as only those and nothing more. Don't show too much negative feedback to others as this discussion if for people to share. Doubt, but don't attack.

lol @The Dangerous HC, wolf vs werewolf. I am sure these aren't the same. Also i think you missed the point. OF COURSE they will advertise some things to sell a book, Lego encourages this, but other images will be guarded more. Haven't you seen more similarities in the Lego books and the sets recently? @Guyon2002 is 100% correct with his statement about budgets for Lego. Keep up the good work.
-
They might be using the same mold for HP and Ninjago. Just change the tail. *wink. Lego are being stricter now with what can and cant be used in books. They have to approve a book and give info the the publisher, etc. Expect the books to be guarded for leaks just as much as the sets from here on out.

The patronus stag was always going to be blue. Just look at the Lego books and the movie. Second, the graveyard set hasn't even been approved by Lego yet despite being in the plans. And no, there will be no Cedric in that set if/ when it is released. The middle picture is for harry potter, just need to take off that 3 tail piece and add one that has 1 tail, easy to do. Lego has some leaks that are controlled, so they can get feedback,(e.g. faces) but unless there is an unusual amount of negative feedback, about those leaks, the figs will not change. Again, take my words as only those and nothing more. Don't show too much negative feedback to others as this discussion if for people to share. Doubt, but don't attack.

Just to add fuel to the fire. Why couldn't Dumbledore's room just be a stand alone set. Does it really need to be able to connect the the castle sets? I wouldn't mind the inside view of his room, would be cool with all the pictures, pensive and things. By the way, this is for a future set that they may or may not built in the coming years for anyone who is having trouble following the thread.

I believe some sets will change slightly before they are released. But what has been done is shaping up to be pretty good. The advent calendar should have a Hogwart or 2 student in it and a Harry, etc, but mainly little brick builds. But will be awesome to open it up slowly leading up to Christmas. I wonder if we will get a chocolate frog in it? Plus the Knight Bus wont have Harry in it. Lego would be over killing it to add another Harry Potter figure when there are already so many in other sets (They already are over killing it though, lol). Don't forget every single figure will raise the price of a set, so they will keep the count down if necessary.
-
Each set will not be screen accurate. That is not what Lego always does. You could take the Yule ball figures and just put them in the great hall by yourselves. I hear Toys R Us Japan asking Lego what might be happening so they can plan their special events around them. But Lego will never really let on i think. The knight bus will be cool as i love it from the movie and don't have it yet. I am sure Lego have a definite plan on how the years will work out and for set ideas. But nothing with Lego is written in stone and they will definitely change their ideas/sets depending on how the current sets sell as well as new ideas. The HP advent calendar is almost certainly going to be the best selling one because it appeals to both boys and girls, young and old. Disclaimer :- Don't believe anything I say. Then I don't have to disbelieve your belief.
-
They didn't use any new hairpieces for FB because they were still testing the waters. Now they know how well the HP and FB sell, they will adapt and create new pieces accordingly. The sets, whatever we get, I am sure we will all be happy with. Plus I like the idea of waiting to be surprised instead of seeing it and having to wait many months before I can get my hands on it.
-
I agree the Yule ball wont be in the advent calendar. But there should definitely be an advent calendar this year for Harry Potter. Don't be surprised with Lego and the Harry theme. Even some of these leaks are not really leaks but info from Lego they are letting go early to keep the interest going. I think Bricktober is on for Japan this year. Who knows about other markets and which ones though.

I don't know why people keep saying things are impossible for sets/ ideas from Lego. From a marketing/ sales standpoint, Lego are doing well considering toy sales as a whole took a slump. You cant blame them for what happened with TRU and them having to scramble to get their bricktober packs off in a new distribution way. The Knight Bus was/ is a major part in the Harry Potter world even if it was on screen for such a short time. If you visit Universal Studios, they have one there that people love to go and see. Also they have souvenirs of the knight bus at the stores there, including the mini scale bus, keyrings, etc. So it must be popular to a degree. Yes they have made 2 sets of it already but this new one might have exclusive minifigures, etc. Why wouldn't they do another Bricktober? Here in Japan they had something like 5,000 Bricktober HP sets available. Now that TRU is gone, Lego has plenty of time to properly set up a distribution system for Bricktober with major stores around the world. If they really want to, they could have them exclusively sold by Amazon with Lego purchases. This would reach a large enough audience for them. I am looking forward to the new Hagrid's Hut, but whether we get it this year or next year is anyone's guess. Like someone else said, Lego will try to hide a lot of sets until close to sales time to stop other companies (Lepin) from copying them. Oh, and expect another Microscale set or two for HP this or next year.

I saw your bid. Yours was the first to be sold because it was the highest price at that time. After your bid, the other 9 sets slowly got sold but because of the extra betting, it took an extra 30 minutes or more to sell them, ranging from about 3,600 yen to around 3,800 Your bid was here. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f297156100 3,601 yen sale was here https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b338371830 3,700 yen https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c683005549, etc So yours was around 3 dollars more than i paid, and my set was the second last to sell at 3,800 yen. I paid the money yesterday morning and already received the item today. It is in perfect condition (it was shipped from Osaka). It is a very small box and I was surprised but it is much heavier than expected. I am sure you will be thrilled when you get yours.

Managed to get 2 Bricktober Harry Potter sets yesterday from TRU Japan. Luckily I found some good Batman Movie and Star Wars sets for 50% off at TRU. The sets were in perfect condition, unlike someone else in this forum who found their figures legs on backwards. Just a question. If Toys R Us has the sets in a certain country that would mean that it will not be available at other stores because of exclusive rights, right? Has anyone experienced it before when an exclusive lego minifigure set was sold not only at Toys R Us but also another store?

I am so sad. The good news is that the Harry Potter Blocktober set starts tomorrow in Japan. The sad news is the Harry Potter main sets are on discount and i already have them all. Including the whole set of 22 minifigures. But, the Star Wars sets and Batman Movie sets are 50% off. Hope my 6 year old son wants some Batman sets as that is how I am gonna get my hands on some of the Harry Potter Bricktober bundles. New link for Japanese Toys R Us below with Harry Potter and discounts here. http://www2.toysrus.co.jp/rm/HTML-MAIL/180930l/html1.html?sc_src=email_1562641&sc_lid=116823745&sc_uid=WivKnhhKB7&sc_llid=574336&sc_customer= Also that same seller before here is selling more of the Diagon Microfigure sets on the auction site again. This time he has around 10 sets up for grabs. Where does he get them all???
