  1. Measuring 166x100 studs, this is my first castle. Usually I build with Technic, so this is a complete change for me. There's no amazing new building techniques, and I've shamelessly stolen/copied many ideas from others, I make no excuse for that. My main building criteria was playability, and features. All rooms in the castle are fitted out with furniture, all buildings are modular and similarly fitted out except for the mill which is as yet unfinished. Roofs lift off in some areas of the castle, and every room has an opening wall panel of some sort to allow access to the interior. Full set of pics here:
  2. I too would be very very interested in some more details on these, they look excellent. Good work.
  3. That image looks great, can't access your Brickshelf folder to see more though.
  4. great minds obviously think alike. I can't use the technic panels as they don't fit my colour scheme, I managed to skin wokings in bricks though, so all good.
  5. Thanks for all the pointers people. I found something I can modify here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=429975 Thanks again Andy.
  6. Hello all. For an MOC I'm building, I need a two stage crane boom. The boom on 8421 would be fine in terms of overall length, and I like the operation of the second stage using the 31 long strings, however the 8421 boom is far too industrial looking externally, my boom needs to be 'panneled' if you get my meaning. Flat on all sides, top bottom and both verticals, radiused corners, skinned with bricks and slopes, tiles and plates, not technic liftarms. At least not on the outside. Ideal dimensions externally of 6 studs wide, 5 bricks tall. I can cope with one axle running outside of these dimensions, plus obviously its mountings in order to facilitate it's workings. So far after about 10 hours of tinkering I'm struggling. All the well known trucks (Sariel's, Grazi's, M.Longers) have single stage booms with just two sections. I must have a twin stage with three sections. Does anyone have any bright ideas, or can point me in the direction of any Brickshelf or MOC pages galleries.
  7. I built the Grazi chassis, then shortened it and added a simple 57 Chevy body The chassis design is superb, Grazi is a genius. However I've never had much luck getting the motorized side of things working with the old style pre PF motors.
