DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
PremierComix replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
I would imagine that Lego is setting the date back to a fall release on the d2c set. with all the summer sets and d2c coming out between August/September they probably pushed the release date back. I doubt they would cancel a d2c Batman set in the 80th anniversary year/celebration/thing -
Marvel MCU Bricktober pack with Ronin, Captain America, Captain Marvel and War Machine. I expect with the upcoming four sets we'll be getting Cap, Ronin and War Machine in those sets (unlikely) but if not it'd be cool if they did an Endgame Bricktober pack with some exclusive characters. Still want a wave of MCU 10 Years minifigure series. Still want villains we haven't gotten before.

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

certain $20 dollar sets from different themes are available at Walmart and are advertised on one of those cardboard isle shelves. And Barnes & Noble is selling 4 of the new Wizarding World sets. I haven't seen anything else as of this post. I personally am hoping to see new sets for 2020 for Marvel, DC and SW at San Diego Comic Con plus any new 2019 sets for Marvel or DC. At this point I don't care what the D2C Lego Batman set is so I'll continue to wait patiently until a reveal. -

I'm sitting here wondering when Lego will reveal the D2C Bat vehicle set and possibly more and wondering why they haven't made an advent calendar for DC or Marvel. We're getting one for wizarding world and that theme was started LAST YEAR! C'mon Lego get your head in the game. -

I wanna believe that Batman Family Matters didn't come with a new Batgirl (Rebirth) or Nightwing (Rebirth) minifigure because those figs are being saved for a few sets that might be released at the end of the year or with the UCS set or something. You can easily make the Red Hood fig (the black hair is the same used on Bruce Banner and Ian Malcolm). -
DC Batman 80th anniversary Bricktober pack with First Appearance Batman, Hush Batman, Animated series Batman and Batman Beyond.

MCU Avengers Endgame Bricktober 4 pack with Ronin (with twin katanas back piece from Ninjago and Rogue hood from CMF), Captain America (new movie outfit) with shield, War Machine Mk something (the one seen towards the end of the movie and in promotional art for lego sets) and Black Widow (with Elsa's hair from Disney CMF series 2 in dark red with blonde highlights on the ponytail) with escrima sticks. Just an idea. Hope they do some cool Bricktober sets for Marvel, DC, Wizarding World and Ninjago!

It would of made sense to release a comic book themed Guardian set around the same time the first Lego Marvel Super heroes game came out or when the Avengers Assemble sets came out
-
No but this looks pretty cool and would go along greatly with the existing comic book themed Avengers
-

It would be cool to see a Bricktober set with Ventriloquist and Scarface, General Zod and Black Adam (Ventriloquist fills the fourth space like the random baby Blue raptor in the Jurassic World pack). Or a wave of collectible minifigures including; Livewire, Bronze Tiger, Cheshire, Shiva, Copperhead, Mirror Master, Metallo, Bizarro, Grid, Johnny Quick, Owlman, Ultraman, Super Woman, Sea King, Power Ring, Mercy Graves, Malcolm Merlyn, Heatwave, General Zod, Black Adam, Ares and Atrocitus (minifigure version) I know this isn't the area for these kinds of things but it sort of a speculation...I think? -

So looking at the new summer wave of Batman sets overall I'm excited. Yeah we don't get new villains (to be expected at this point) but I personally like the updated figures (though I would've preferred a magenta jacket on Two-Face like the comic/super villains game version). The vehicles are really cool and bring something new to the collection. Overall I'm excited. Who knows, maybe Lego has more up it's sleeve like a Bricktober Batman/DC Super-Villains pack or a wave of 80th anniversary collectible minifigs (unlikely I know but I can dream too). I see a lot of unhappiness in the community regarding the set designs and minifigures and while I could add to that by saying that Lego is mostly for kids (we're all kids at heart...phew, nice save me), It's fair to say that it will always be a hit/miss with new sets. -

I have a really hard time believing that Shazam (who's movie comes out soon) will also be featured in a Batman set AND that we're getting ANOTHER brick built Clayface when the majority of the leaks show minifigs similar to their appearance in Lego DC Super Villains (most based on their Rebirth designs). Just have to wait till official images (or leaks or more accurate descriptions) are released -
You know how nice it would be to see Lego return to Scooby Doo with new sets. A big fig of the 10,000 volt ghost A brick built Tar Monster (with space for Mr. Stoner inside) Pterodactyl Ghost with new wing/arm elements Scooby Doo and Shaggy in silly disguises and wacky places for them to hide (a flower pot with Scooby's head poking out of it or something) Monsters like The Werewolf (Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Werewolf), Captain Cutler (with the CMF diving helmet/body in cool yellow and lime green), Jaguaro, The Creeper, The Ghost of Hyde, Skeleton Men, Joker and Penguin (for a nice little Batman meets Scooby Doo crossover), Space Kook, Phantom Shadow/Giggling Green Ghost, Snow Ghost, Frankenstein-like Monster (A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts)

Just an Idea I had for Black Mask (torso from 76127 Captain Marvel and the Skrull Attack). I know a Birds of Prey film is coming out next year with Black Mask (Ewan McGregor) and Zsasz (Chris Messina). Even though it's a rated R film I'm still hopeful that we'll get these two Batman villains in the near future. -

Excited about the leaks. Rebirth Damian Wayne. New Batman face/mask design. Mr. Freeze variant #378. DKR Gordon? Eh, I'll take it (most likely comes with the Juniors Joker Escape Set, which would explain the goofy faces he makes). -

How do we know we're not also getting a DCEU Shazam set like end of 2018's DCEU Aquaman set and 2019's Aquaman/Ocean Master set. What's there to say that we're also not getting one or two other DC sets along with this release (unlikely I know). I know Lego doesn't always list every set (for spoiler reasons etc.) and they sometimes and suddenly spring new sets from these big themes almost at random (sometimes to coincide with movies, sometimes not). I dunno then again I'm not examining this on all cylinders (I also don't really care, I'm just glad to GET a Shazam set at all). -

A DC Advent Calendar would be fun. Imagine some of the mini builds and stuff from the games that could be released with it. Exclusive Batman figs included, it would be sweet! -

It'd be more likely that we get A 97 B&R themed set with a LBM sequel. I imagine it would be something like the LDCS game versions of the characters or something similar regarding Robin and Freeze. -

7 sets; as long as we get the DC Super Villains versions of Joker, Two-Face, Clayface, Grundy, Copperhead, Shiva, Cheshire, Bronze Tiger and Ventriloquist and Scarface I'm good. Some people rumored that Grundy and Copperhead were supposed to be released with the App Enabled Batmobile last year so that team up could be seen this year. Put Joker, Two-Face, Clayface, Batgirl and Nightwing in a set together. Red Robin in the batcave set. Huntress in a set with Shiva and Cheshire. I could see most of these minifigures being released this year. 9 villains 4 heroes new and variant. I mean, I still wanna see Zsasz, Mad Hatter, Hush and Black Mask but I also wanna see these 13 characters more. Just a speculation. -

I'm expecting the DC Super villains Two-Face and Joker minifigs because it seems like these sets will most likely tie in with the game like how the sets released with Lego Batman 3 did. It already sounds like Two-Face will be released with one of the new summer sets but we'll just have to wait for official images or set descriptions.
