Looking forward to this one, nice little army builder with stunning figures. Thanks for the review.

Does anybody know when LOTR sets might hit the UK? It seems some places in the US are shipping domestically, how soon til us!?

Amazing, the entrance with the statues is stunning.

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
llb replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Words cannot describe how awesome this is/how jealous I am!! -
Really cool series, I enjoyed that!
-
I think i'll hold back from voting until I actually get my hands on some LOTR sets.. Although I will no doubt be switching all their fleshie heads into yellows!
-
I'm sure the mods had a thread detailing why LOTR was going in Historic. It's not like the Licensed forum will be empty!

Please let there be Ents..

Has anyone watched these hilarious yet completely accurate reviews of the prequels? Think they've been around for years but this guy nails what is wrong with the prequels PT Plinkett Reviews Apologies if this has already been posted (want able to check all 59 pages!) EDIT: its on the previous page Worth a watch though...

I guess it depends on the stockist then, my local Tesco has only just got the latest CMF (!) - hopefully Amazon will get the LOTR stuff earlyish

$100,000 worth of clone troopers for sale on ebay
llb replied to madoka's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I know that people have done this with iPhone boxes. People selling iPhone boxes for £300+!! eBay have cracked down on 'misleading' lots like that, I'm sure if someone reported what this guy was trying to do then eBay would take it down. -
These sets look fantastic, the details on the minifigs look superb. Unfortunately I don't have the money or space to buy the whole lot! Can we anticipate the UK prices to be the same ie $29.99 for the Uruk-Hai army will be £29.99 in the UK? Not too unhappy with that, could probaly stretch to a couple of sets and hopefully bricklink will become flush with Orcs for around £2.50 - £3.00. And the release is June - early or late do you think? My birthday is the 2nd week of June so if they come out before then

Had the same problem when I went there a couple of months ago...off to Cardiff in May so hopefully will be able to pick up some useful pieces.

Worked fine for me. As usual, an excellent blog and brought back many happy memories as this is probably the era my interest was at a peak with lego (as a kid). I remember spending hours looking at the Lego catalogue waiting for the UK release-spending an afternoon in Edinburgh hoping to find the skeleton surprise set! Can remember being so happy to see all the castle sets on display in a department store! I still have the baseplate from 6090-the castle is long since demolished though!

Excellent detail on this - the tree-houses are superb!
-
I believe the head is from the old Space Ice theme
-
FBTB has a nice breakdown of the sets - including orc forge - no pics though!
-
My link Says here that TLG stand at London toyfair will be showcasing the Jabba Palace set - surely a matter of days before we see picture of the finished set?
-
These mini-figs look brilliant, can't wait to see the rest. I'm also glad that the majority don't have any flesh colour on the torso so we can stick yellow heads on!

Were there threads showing the winners of the watchtower challenge?
-
love it, especially the hatch with the crystal

the latest stuff has been awesome. the only downside is that I've recently started a medieval house and you guide has given me so many new ideas/techniques that im thinking of scrapping the whole thing!
-
wow, some awesome stuff in your other thread - really interesting techniques for the roof.
-
would really appreciate this, in the middle of building a medieval house so any other techniques/tips would be great!
-
seems like a great deal on the forestmen - much cheaper than I've seen here in the UK
