I could not resist! I am the biggest Lego CITY fan, I needed to make an entry! So tonight I made this... I know, no imagination... I really don't do MOCs, I do MODifications... That is why I am going to buy 2 or 3 hospitals (to make a right one) when it comes out in Asia.

Aaand looks like we have a deal, people!

My favorite subject!!! I also was hesitant to mess with the contest tread (Since I have most of my lego boxed at my parent's house, I can't participate), but now that you started talking about great cities we have seen on the web, let me show you all-time favorite one: http://www.seankenney.com/portfolio/greenwich_village/ Isn't it amazing?! My favorite part is Starbucks, that guy is such a genius. He makes the kind of city sets I would like to see from lego (shops, restaurants...) I specially like the fact that he has a great city in such a small space (very vertical oriented).

I fixed the broken link, here you have the picture. Yeah, I just really feel like having a gold brick and can't be bothered to go buy it at Bricklink... plus trades are fun and I really was going to throw away those heads... I live in Taipei, by the way.

It's Summer and I feel like trading! I'm in the straightshooters list, don't worry *y* Look at the (blurred) picture: there are 3 white skulls, 1 spiderman head, 8 fleshtone heads, 1 black head, 2 grey heads, 1 glow-in-the-dark head and 12 yellow heads (5 of them have two faces). A total of 28 heads. What can you offer? Ideally, I would like a golden 50th anniversary system brick. But I can settle for other heads with faces I like.. PM me please!

Thanks to the people who customise the forum and keep it fun! However, the Batman theme was unreadable, sorry, I switched too... :)

What is new to me is the whole education line?! http://www.legoeducation.com/store/ Sorry if this is very old news (?)

Yo, people! I AM SO WORRIED NOW about Spiderman 3 sets or, in fact, the absence of any sets at all! LOOK, when you click here: http://www.lego.com/eng/spiderman/redirect.asp You will see this message: The LEGO Spider-man web site is no longer available as LEGO has finished production of Spider-man products. And then you'll be redirected to the homepage. OH MY GOD, NO! Spiderman has been a great source of amazing city landscapes and settings to me: I got the bridge with the great taxi, then the bank... :'-(

Well, my plan is getting 3 airports and turn them into a decent one. Plus getting 3 hospitals and turn them into a decent one too (I'll have to get rid of the elavated baseplates!!).

Santa brought me sets 4548 and 4531 and I want to exchange them. :P 4548 is still MISB and 4531 was also... until I opened it =just once= only to find out it was old grey. :'( Since I just recently came back from my dark ages, when I started collecting again it made sense to me only to accept the new grey. Thus, everything in old sets is discarded and replaced by its bley and light bley counterparts. I WANT TO EXCHANGE THESE 2 SETS WITH BOX AND EVERYTHING (remember only one is MISB) for anything interesting of a similar money value of course. I am interested in CITY sets, specially the 2006 ones. Hurry up, I can still send the things from Spain until January 9 since I will still be at home for the Holidays . After January 9 I can either make my family send it to you still from Spain or bring the sets back to Taiwan with me and send them to you from there if it is closer. Any takers? I am in the straigfhtshooters list.

It's going to be City for me too... first because I am a fan and second because TLC was really back on track this year. They introduced the cool accesory for wheels too. The only complaint I have is the police station should not be on an elevated baseplate. I bought them all, 50% of the sets more than once, and the supercute mini firecar as many times as 10 (me + gifts)!!!
-
Excuse me if I overlooked this, but we didn't see this before, did we? The ambulance looks a lot better, in my opinion this set looks very rushed, like 2005's police cars with red add-ons. EDIT: Well at least it has doors, a huge improvement IMO.

Wow! This is what I was talking about!

Hi. We need a subforum on storing/cleaning/repairing Lego. Look at this fake picture I made (the label is fake): I want you all to consider this new hobby: grocery shopping! They have the most amazing packaging for fruits and vegetables... You take the label off, you clean it... and... voil

Recently, Lego Shop @ Home webpage had some Coast Watch HQ sets (7047-1) like half price. I had always been interested in the baseplate and also thought all those yellow parts and smoky windows were great for expanding my Grand Central Station (4513-1). Unfortunately LEGO still does not ship to Asia, so I had to give in and get ripped off at Bricklink... anyway, I loved it! What a great set this is!! I have no time for writing a whole review, but thought you guys would like to take a look at these pics. Notice that the little buggy guy is a different set, but I just think they match so well. I also did not stick the stickers, because I am still debating myself whether to keep the set or destroying it to exapnd the Station... maybe I will just buy myself another Coast Watch HQ!! Hahaha. Enjoy it !! I really recommend the set and would love to hear from other proud owners, or maybe people who created cool things with that baseplate.

Well the contents look better here :) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=153611

It's all about building the perfect city for me. And TLC makes it so difficult for me, only police and more police...

Oh no, nothing too adult, just a vignette. I hope I can get that cleaning liquid somewhere! That would solve the problem since I got many islander torsos... it's torsos I need and because I already have some yellow legs I bought at Bricklink... The weird thing is, those legs all have springs, like lego basketball legs! I have no idea where did they come from.
-
Yes, naked minifigs. Don't ask about this sick project of mine :P So, the question is: What is the cheapest and fastest way to get a naked minifig (I mean eeeeeverything yellow)? There was an all-yellow Classic Space Buddy out there, but these are usually too old, don't look shiny... Can I remove the paint off the Islander's torsos? What else? PS OH, thanks to the Extreme beach sets I got some "black underwear/swimsuit" legs, but I look for all-yellow.

I will change my 2 almost new, normal grey 32x32 baseplates for bley ones to other fellow boarders in Taipei!
