  1. Hey hey! Today I found the inspiration for a real warrior beauty: A dark elven princess. Hope that some more people will come up with an entry so the contest wont fall through. P.s.: the reason for the black lever bases on the pic ist that I first used these and forgot to put them away. It's no dirty joke or something
  2. I'm not sure but I think I have seen that before ; ) The details on the front are perfect but maybe a bit to much. Unless you build the whole town this way. I like the way the back side lies in ruins, especially the debris on the ground. Hope to see more when LEGO will release some Gondor sets.
  3. The Winery:
  4. Every summer, Lord Aron Stark sets sail from Daun, his dominion on the Isles od Solitude, to the Avalonian coast, accompanied by his cup-bearer Jaervis Stannison, to taste and select the most aromatic wine of the vintage.
  5. Winery finished. Or lets say I ran out of bricks and this is the best result.
  6. Even if the TLC helmet works fine, I wanted a visualized difference between crossbow men and hand-to-hand Uruks. There are enough possibilities that everyone finds the perfect solution for himself =) It's a Yeoman Zombie. Very useful to "stretch" the Uruk-Hai army.
  7. I was disappointed about the ballista of the Uruk Hai army set. Also I love to build functional guns and catapults. So here's my try to build a functional ballista, whose design is as close as possible to the film version:
  8. I thought about Crossbows first when I saw the final sets. I'll use kettle hats for my crossbow men, because it is close by the helmets as seen in the film. I was also disaffected with the halberds. I think, this is the easiest solution for Uruk-Hai pikemen:
  9. Very cool soccerkid! I was very busy last weeks, but at least I will finish the winery. I regret that I didn't have a good idea for an elementary monster =/
  10. Haha, great! The smile gets bigger from pic to pic. I love all these hilarious details and NPUs. first of all the use of micro figures as bowling pins. And all the figs. George LOL
  11. The flags are a nice fringe! Simple but clever.
  12. So, I'd like to present an older MOC I built for my Mandalorian army.
  13. I haven't thought about the elemental crisis yet, but here's a WIP pic of the winery i'm building for commerce challenge:
  14. May I ask a surely already asked question? I've read that there a planned 6 Challenges. What will happen with Historica after the final competition? A new round? Total new RPG?
  15. Well, I am sure I can add some useful constructions Now I discern that with inhabiting "Isles of Solitude" I ruined the name But I guess Isles are always lonesome
  16. I am not sure what I'm looking at, but I like it! The construction is clever. But maybe you should tell us something about your squid.
  17. Very neat. You chose the right technique to build the fins. Great effect.
  18. I humbly thank you! I am afraid that the fourth challenge exceed my modest capabilities, but I will try my best to increase the glory of Mitgardia. Here is a wip picture of my first ship. a small ferry boat used for trading and to combat pirates:
  19. May I give my regards to the monarch of the North, chief of Mitgardia; Lord Aron Stark of Solitude, if it's convenient. The seat of my family is the small estate Daun on the Isles of Solitude, including the municipality of Daun and Stark Manor. The portrait of mine: May I also introduce my constant companion, Jaervis Stannisson, my cup bearer and trusted friend during my adventures. He's as good with the saber as at keeping my cup always full of wine. As a northern Island Lord I keep a small flotilla of ships, war ships just as trading vessels, to help protect and provide the western coast of Mitgardia. That's my backround story. I really hope that it's compatible with the canon. If not, please correct me and I will make some changes. I already built a smaller ship as an example of my ideas. I will post it soon.
  20. Great! Tony Stark is the greatest Marvel character for me, so I always enjoy Moc's about him. I like how you can recognize the details of the film version.
  21. Thank you guys! I thought this Vignette wasn't that exciting, but I'm glad to read such positive feedback. LotR and the Hobbit are the big deal for me this year. So to say, I waited since the first film until this year for a Lego Theme. I'll try to make some larger dioramas. Me too! but then I realised there's not enough place.
  22. Thank you guys! Maybe I'll try to make more Marvel Characters that aren't done by TLC (unfortunately the Avengers Set still not available in Germany ) Please! Pure emotion!
  23. Great sets! I really hope we'll get a medium Warg Set for Army Building. I would buy all the sets, except for the gate of Moria, cause both Frodo and Gandalf (the Grey) are included in the first wave and the Watcher itself isn't that interesting.
  24. Nice job! In my opinion the most important thing is to have all characters of the films as figs. what kind of sets will contain them doesn't matter to me. I'm confident of seeing Elrond and Galadriel included in the first sets for the Hobbit in winter wave. So there's no need to have an LotR Set for them.
