  1. Do your sleeves slouch since our Lego instructions are quite heavy!
  2. I love that bank!!
  3. I was planning to do the same. LOL it's funny how you started back into Lego as I started in Star Wars then switched to Trains too. I'll go grab the other Passenger Train set tonight. Was there a way we could add another coach to the whole set up using the remaining pieces from the 2nd dummy locomotive? That would mean you have 4 coaches and 2 locomotives instead of 3 coaches and 2 locomotives.
  4. Thanks Kyphur. So for your entire train set, you only use one actual powered locomotive to pull the train with an unpowered locomotive at the end? Does that give your train the power it needs to move?
  5. Kyphur, how many extra pieces did you need to convert the 2nd set of Passenger Train into coaches for your 1st Passenger Train? I am planning to do the same but lack the pieces.

    MOC Buildings

Well there's a saying that imitation is the highest form of flattery! I just bought myself 2 boxes of 5891 and 1 box of 5771. Gonna build them up wi my girlfriend and then tear them down. We are hoping to do our first very own MOC together. Hopefully it turns out nice. Will post my really noob creation over the next few days.

    MOC Buildings

Agreed! I am building up my repository of MOC designs really quickly. I hope it's not taboo on this site to copy and then put it up. Of course, I won't claim it as mine!

    MOC Buildings

Thanks! To be totally honest, I do not know of yet what type of buildings I will be making but stocking up on bricks was my first port of call. There are a certain number of structures I am seeking to build - namely the shops close to where I live at the moment. They are small so will make a good start for me. 5891 followed by 5771.

    MOC Buildings

Thank you again! I am looking at the Creator set you mentioned but I reckon it's not sold here in Singapore anymore. I have however found 5771 and 5891. Are these worth the sets?

    MOC Buildings

Thanks for the heads up. I'll go grab a few boxes of those Creator sets. MOD too. Any other suggestions for a budding MOCer?

Which boxsets you referring to? MOD or Creator?
  12. Love this city! I wish I had so much space to work with! Keep up the great work!

    MOC Buildings

Thanks for coming back to me so quickly. To answer your question, I would like to build a City! But I intend to start with houses as my girlfriend is quite keen to build it with me! What about the existing MOD range? I have read on this forum that the Emporium is a very good set to get duplicates as it will give me the basic building pieces that I need. Price per brick seems good too. Any other set which makes you go "I've gotta get that for the parts!"?

    MOC Buildings

I've been watching this forum very closely and love all your labours of love. I would like to build an MOC myself starting with some buildings closer to home here in Singapore. Was wondering if there was a thread on how to start: 1. What type of buildings would be a good start - something small I suppose? Or should I begin with vignettes. 2. Bricks - I don't have that many considering all my old Lego's have been donated to orphans. Are there existing sets that I can just purchase and rip open for their contents so I can use for my MOC's. 3. Base plates - is there a size that you use? I love the Lego Modular buildings and the details in has. I am inspired to do something similar and am really keen to show you guys what I can do too! Any help will be much appreciated!
  15. Thanks for this. This really helped me decide on what and where to start. I love MOC but could never justify buying the parts one by one - shipping to Singapore is very steep. I will take your advice and pursue the pieces sans the boxed sets.

    MOC: City Bank

I'm kinda new so apologies for the noobish question. I am about to get myself one of the City Bank sets (Toys R Us here still sell them). I am truly inspired by your work and am more keen to convert mine into your take of the bank. Where do you begin? Did you just buy 2 boxes of the set or ordered a ton of bricks off from BrickLink? Thanks in advance!
  17. Love your city but it is very busy. A focal point maybe? Great picture for Where's Wally?
  18. Those windows on the bicycle shop work very well. It looks the part.
  19. Love how this is coming along. It's a real labour of love and it does take time.
  20. Looks great! keep up the good work!
  21. I love your work! In fact I just joined this forum to ask you this question: I saw you have really long trains. Is it better to buy more train sets or just order the bricks to create the coaches? Thanks again and am looking forward to more pictures and videos!
