So, I started out with building a pottery but soon it also was o weaver incorporated in the house...An idea I got when watching some history channels, in a medevial city there was always alleys and arches between the houses... Hope you like it and as alwas C&C much welcome! Inspiration is from DC, Z and Mikey. Pottery Uisdean the potter is skilled with her hands. Her potts is well known in both Albion and Avalonia. She is still not married but all the men in Albion wants her. Her grace and frankness makes her an opposite of the women in Albion. Today she is selling one of her potts to a local woman. She is dividing about the price, something that Uisdean really dislike! Weaver When Ionnain the weaver was young he saw his parents die in a terrible accident with fire. Since that day he haven´t spoke a word. He was adopted by his old grandfather who taught him how to make beautiful capes and banners. Ionnain quickly became very skilled with the fabrics and the customers flocked to his grandfathers store. Last year his beloved grandfather died and Ionnain inherit his store. Ionnain let his hair and beard grow as a tribute to his grandfather who never cut his hair. “The hair is there for a reason, why take it off??” he used to say. Bachgennyn is Ionnains little helper who sells the capes and talks to the customers. He lives in Albion as well and loves to help out in the weaver store. Combined

Looks great Xyver! I love the stone arch over the entrance, the many ladders that gives the whole embassy a busy look! And I really like the fact that you managed to put in those premolded wall pieces in the embassy and it´s still looking good! The only thing I´m missing is an overall picture, where you have your camera a little higher up so we can see the whole thing.. Great work!

Wow! Legolas don´t seem to have a fleshie torso! Great news!!
-
When I first saw the thumbnails I thought it was minifig scale on the castle! Great amount of details on such a small castle! Just love the whole thing! Great work!!!
-
I like it a lot! The whole scene has a classic castle touch to it but mixed up with the news from 2011! Great done! Your minifig posing is excellent and makes the moc so much better. My favourite posing is the attacking axe man waiting to strike!

A great moc! Love the busy atmosphere you manage to capture as well as the little details such as the carpet, the tree and the full tables!! How did you come up with the name? I as a swede surely reconigize it but you live some miles away from here I can see from your profile.. -
This is such a fun idea! Love the outcome of it and it would be great if you (as DC is asking) are going to build some of the houses and walls in minifig size!
-
Fantastic DC!! Love the purple flowers on the tower as well as the wooden battlements! So the tower is built with only 1x1 round bricks and 1x1 bricks and 1x2 tiles connecting those? Is the tower sturdy? When I build my round towers with 1x1 round brick and 1x2 brick they feel very unstable... But i just love the outcome of it! The rockwork on the ground is also very clever! Too bad I just had a BL order sent away, otherwise I would have included those aswell!

When I built my embassy in Kaliphin I really enjoy to build a desert moc and to step out of the Avalonian box. But I guess we all think diffrently and for that I´m glad. However I think each person should build what they want, not what they think the judges will look at. My 2 cents... -
Wow Taz! Time to step out of the closet and say that you are an Avalonian after all! I just love the house! Great work on this one! How have you solved the arch problem over the windows in the 1x1 round brick tower? It looks so good, when I try to, there is always such a big gap between the bricks and the window. Is it the angle of the photo? From what I can see it´s only a 1x2 plate over the window?

Spot on again Dc! Great job on this one, fun to see you stepping out of your comfort zone and build in a snowy landscape! Great details like the barrels as walls, the entrance to the embassy and the snowy effect on the roofs! The custom made flag is also perfect! Where did you find those colours?! They match Avalonia perfect! The pics with the maps behind is a nice touch! Can´t wait to see more from you great Leader!

Thanks guys! Yes that page is great and give a lot of ideas what you can build! Kabel: I didn´t know that you had a quarry in your moc... I´ve searched for the word quarry in both BS, Flickr and EB and I did´nt found anything. You haven´t mention the quarry in your thread about Stoneroda at all and the pic you linked to now is only in your BS folder so it´s very easy to miss...

Some very nice techniques you put in the moc! I like it!! Perhaps some windows? Great work K. Kreations!!
-
Looking really good! I like the tan, it could be boards or stone that are in that colour so to not include tan in Mithgardia is wrong in my opinion.. Some pics on the other sides would be good.
-
Very nice indeed! Like the Mithgardian feel it has to it! The photo is excellent and the black background adds very much to the whole layout!
-
Great idea and well done to put the idea into Lego! I like the tiled deck! Maybe add some boards to the scene? A saw and some axes? Regarding the mast, I think it would look better at this stage with the mast made out of bricks! Great work!!

Captain BeerBeard: That moc is really nice! Very Avalonian! K. Kreations: Fun idea to build a libary! Will comment it more in it´s thread! Volcanicpanik: There is some history in the first page... I´m done with my pottery for Albion. Just have to wait for the CMF 6 to arrive so I can use the pot from the little green guy! I have a weaver on my way for Albion.. Have to build a lot now before I go back to work! -
Thanks!! Cpt Blackmoor: Yes, now we have constructions material done! Let´s pump out some material to our fellow guildsmen! DaMaximus: Maybe that is the answer, they don´t have thier own middle ages (of course they had, but not in the same aspect as the European knights and so on) so they think that is pretty cool... Knights sells you know! DC: I just love to come up with ideas for mocs to Avalonia and I´m quite happy with this one as I´ve never seen a Lego quarry before... Now it´s time for my pottery, if only my potts will arrive soon!

Well deserved Z!! That watchtower is great!! Cpt Beer Beard: That is quite bloody! Will there be more pics? -
Haha! You and me are building the same things! Some times you are first and some times it´s me! Let see Pottery Hunter Fishermen Bakery All have been done by both of us! And that is a great tip with the pots from CMF! Thanks!
-
Wow! That thing is huge and great! I really like the head of this beast!
-
I thought so too, but now I´ve to figure out what to make the potts of!
-
Looking really good! It has a real oasis feeling to it! You managed to put many nice details in the MOC! Great work! Some nitpicks... Perhaps add a roof to the horses and camel so they get some shade from the Kaliphin sun. The interior is really open. If a sandstorm comes the people inside will have no shelter..? Maybe some Kaliphins visiting the embassy? But that is just some nitpciking! You have really improved you building skills Niku!!
-
Thanks for the comments! Niku: No, the quarry is only in it´s beginning. The rock is continuing under the tree. They just have to clear out the bushes and dirt on top of the rock.. NM: Hehe! Yes I know, we Avalonians are really strong!! (the reason I put that brick in his arms is because it looks really silly when he was carry a 1x2 or 1x1 brick! )
