de Gothia

I use Gimp and after some explanation by Nice marmot it´s very easy to use! I think the background adds very much to the moc itself. Seeing floors, walls, computers and other stuff draw the eyes away from the moc. Hope to finsih a moc showing Eachans and a new charachter in de Gothias life!

Thanks again! Kabel: Maybe you are right about the gate and arches. But how do we solve bigger gates like this one? I want to have a rounded opening and not the ones with inverted slopses... Hm have to think about that and I appriciate your thoughts! Erynlasgalen: Now when the moc have been on the shelf a few days I have to agree with you regarding the printed tiles. They looked so good in CptBB moc when he used it as floor but here it doesn´t have the same effet! Have to think about that in my coming mocs! Z: No, no titles for this one. This is just a ordinary freebuild for Benoic and Avalonia. I will build de Gothias keep soon and hope to earn the title then!

Great work my dear CptBB! Looks like you put time and effort to put every single brick on the right place on this moc! So many nice details on the walls! Love the use of the ninjago weapons (is it sai they call it?) as details on the castle! Great work and I think you have the title in no time!

This is just great ISC! (or ISS right now! ) The rockwork is just epic and that green slippery water fits perfect to Nocturnus! The castle is so well done. Love how it´s packed with towers on such a small space! Looks really evil!

The gate is very nice but it is so much better looking when having the wall connected to it! Great use of the Heroica figs as said before! You are really popping out mocs recently!

Z: Thanks, yes I got inspiration from him with one tower as wood. Cpt Blackmoor: Thanks, yes I know, the ground is a bit plain. To be honest I started to set out the cheering crwod and then I just forgot the ground until I read about it! Penkid: Thanks, I hope to assemble as much of the sigfigs around Historica as possible! Soccerkid: Thanks, I tried first with stone stairs but they just melted toghteter with the wall so wood was much better! Gothia Castle is just a castle. Benoic don´t have any cities just villages. Outside the walls of Gothia Castle lies one of the villages. Wow Z! That technique is so great! Love all the details like the lanterns, tables etc! So much to look at! The border is also just wow! Have to try some snotted base soon! Your photography is really outstandning aswell, tried to do as you have said to take the photos outside but your result have so much crisp in it!

Very good! As Jason says, if this is your first moc for us I can´t wait to see your next ones! A lot to like here! My only nitpick is the roof on the barn, but as you are planning to remove it it want be any problem!

The music from the bagpipe filled the court yard. de Gothia and Lena entered Gothia Castle and the people from the surrounding villages cheered! Along was aslo Elon, his wife and their two sons. Soon they would all go to Albion, the Pearl City for the wedding! A free build for Avalonia showing a part of my sigfigs castle. More to come on the castle. This looks so classic and I love it! The right part of the house where it is a little shed under the roof is a great touch! The opening roof is another fun detail to this great moc!

Looks great L (known as LD ) You are really improving your skills with every build! The ground level to the right looks promising! Here is a WIP of my project. Hope to add a section of the wall to the left and some landscaping in the front! A dear Kaliphlin member is going to visit as well! Still a lot to do! Just got the Kingdoms Joust and Helms deep!!

You have some magic touch when mixing minifig parts togheter! They look great! That torso from Ninjago fits so well in the theme! This is my favourite for sure!

I think I was to ambitious trying to build Gothia Castle in one piece. Right know the gate is on one baseplate of 48x48 so I think I will have it up as a freebuild and then build the Keep of Gothia Castle as one. Much like Ecc did with his city. Did you rename yourself LD? Love that latest moc, you fill your builds with bricks that "aren´t supposed to be in that place" and it works great!

LD: That is just painful waiting for sets that already have reached the rest of the world! I bought 3 uruk hai and one gandalf from the states. Much cheaper than here in Sweden. But the Helms deep is cheaper on one local webiste here in Sweden!

Man this is just so great! I love seeing the mocs coming from you! Haven´t had the time to read the story yet but I will most certainly do that soon! That throne room with the lovely throne and details on the walls is so great! Just how I would envisioned a throne room! The libary have some really cools details! So many ideas and details to borrow!
