  1. I'm hoping for a more, er, robust version of Hogwarts. The first version 4709 is the most symbolic of all the castles, but the cheap roof of the Great Hall and the arches/opened spaces need to go. I think the second version 4757 is the best-looking one of all (too bad I couldn't afford it when it was on sale for $60 at Target). The third version 5378 is just too... <insert that tiresome argument>? I mean, there are so many large pieces.
  2. It looks good as preliminary sets, but I'll have to reserve my judgment for the actual sets. I guess I'm one of those few people who enjoy their dwarves (and elves, but alas). Don't throw tomatoes at me! On the plus side, I think I like the color scheme of the dragon side. More punky. So... since they have baby dragons, I assume we will see mama dragon in the future.
  3. Signed! Harry Potter fans have grown up, and now they can actually afford LEGO (well, for me at least)!
  4. Website opening in 17ish hours. Click here.
  5. The LEGO Harry Potter game website is opening up soon. Click here. There is also a new trailer here. The song brings back memories. *Nevermind, someone already beat me to it... http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...29674&st=30
  6. I can see a group of adults gathering around the mini-fig bin and groping polybags.
  7. The game is expected to be released in March, 2010, and there will be over 100 playable characters. Is it coincidental that the game is released in Spring, when The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park will open? And the theme park is also based on years 1 to 4... Link
  8. Tohst, your version of Hogwarts reminds me of the one being built at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (pics). I hope you will make the main gate with the winged boars. That would be awesome!
  9. What's the point of handcuffing a guy with a hook?
  10. *Throws money at TLC* Give me that ship!
  11. Here's another pic that I took:
  12. The next villian may be Blackbeard, and I see "undead" on the cover of the book... What book? Check this out. http://www.latinoreview.com/news/exclusive...nger-tides-7982
  13. My apologies. I was just wondering if a LEGO line would be more likely now that the movie is confirmed by Disney, but of course I guess we're all a bit tired of the speculations.
  14. I don't know if anyone know this already... The fourth movie was announced at the D23 Expo, with a surprise appearance by the real Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) himself. It will be called Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Perhaps a LEGO line in 2011? http://www.comingsoon.net/news/d23exponews.php?id=59033
  15. I was at the D23 Expo today, and I have a couple more pics of LEGO Toy Story and Prince of Persia that you guys have seen already. It never hurts to have more, right? Sorry for the blurry pics. The camera wasn't cooperating. Note that the ostrich is probably a prototype (it's not polished).
  16. Nice technique in creating the trefoil! Yes, I had to consult an architecture book to know what it's called...
  17. I don't know if some of these pictures have been posted yet, but here they are: The Disney Blog
  18. Thank you for the pics. That black headdress can replace the one in the Indy Cairo set.
  19. The decapitated minifig has yellow hands. I assume the fleshy heads are necrotic? :skull:
  20. Hrm... I haven't heard of that offer. I did get a free pick-a-brick box for spending over $75 though.
  21. I don't know if anyone posted about the Downtown Disney (Anaheim) store yet, but the sets are there! The employees were excited about the set. I bought it for $99.99 - $10 (annual pass discount). It's great to be a part of Disney!
  22. Carpe diem! I like the technique with the bird's claws. I might have to "borrow" that idea... *y*
  23. It appears the helmet is inseperable from the head. The dragon looks like a Parasaurolophus to me. You know... that dinosaur in Jurassic Park with that "one horn" on the back of its head.
  24. The ruins look kinda like a web, which the spider has adopted. Since spider web is considered strong (when you twist a lot into a coil)... the ruins, representing such a web, can withstand such weight. *wacko*
  25. Yes, and Theseus, being a jerk that he is, abandons her. She ends up marrying Dionysus, who remains faithful to her, and they spend their time together having drinking parties. Anyway, I like how you make the building non-Greek. The red and tan really brings the Minoan feeling.
