Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

I would've agreed... Until they released the Endgame wave. Even Iron Man 3 had the infamous golf cart. -

It would be cool if there was a new Stormbreaker piece or updated Mjolnir. Seems unlikely though. -

Knowing Lego, they will reuse Black Widow's hair in black -

I was counting the polybag. Might not be much, but still a fig based on the film. It really was a shame there weren't any sets for WS. I still think MCU legacy sets would be amazing and incredibly successful. -

I really don't understand the panic. Obviously things are going to be delayed because of the pandemic, and Lego hasn't missed sets for a Marvel movie since the Dark World in 2013. -

It's hard to predict with how little we know about the Eternals, but with the unique direction it's taking, there might be some pretty interesting sets in my opinion. At least something besides a helicopter hopefully. -

I don't understand. How could fans have the opportunity to connect when we haven't had so much as a trailer? If it isn't causing a splash, that is most likely because we know nothing about it save for the cast. It is way too soon to make the Guardians comparison. The reason there has not been any promotion is the delay, and frankly, I don't care when they release the sets if they are interesting and unique. -

Not to mention Endgame Cap! They could fill a whole series with the Endgame figs they skipped over. I think there are more than enough MCU variants to complete 20 slots. -
Had to refresh a few times, but successfully got the NES... Now you're playing with power! Makes it even stranger to me that they didn't include details like a tail for cat mario. I will be interested to see how well these packs sell separate from the figure.

I've never purchased a set right as it releases on Shop@Home. What time are sets typically available online in the US? Really want to make sure I can snag the NES on Friday night.

I think some expected it because of the Q&A coinciding with the dates. While Potter has never really had a SDCC presence, it was possible. I agree, sorry if I came off abrasive. Just really excited at the possibility of Disney+ sets -

1. That's why we're speculating about it. 2. Agreed, if there are sets, they are most likely delayed. 4. Not necessarily. If there are sets releasing at the end of the year, they still have time to be announced, however unlikely it may be. 5. They didn't do anything for SDCC besides digital comics! Seems like they were not interested in pursuing it. Diagon Alley is being announced soon, and they didn't even bother with that. 6. I've followed Falconfan for years, and it seems like his insta stories are often hints, whether anything comes of it or not. Posting Wanda was very intentional, so unless he is just messing around, I think it invites speculation. -

If it's like the first Mando set, it could even be released closer to October. It really depends on if Lego is delaying their Marvel slate, and if they have something in the set they would want to keep secret like Baby Yoda. That's just my theory at least. If there are already leaks, it might be sooner rather than later. -

A certain Falconfan just posted a pic of the Civil War Wanda fig on Instagram. If it's even one set, I will be ecstatic. -

It would be miraculous if Marvel movies stay on their current dates. With the original confusion around the Summer wave release as well, it would not surprise me if Eternals sets just sit in a warehouse for months. I'm being pessimistic though. Let's hope they stay on track. Very ready for a brick built Celestial. -

To me, we will be fortunate if we even get the Eternals sets in October. I feel like they would have a hard time making the sets generic, so I'm actually very interested to see how they turn out. It will be very refreshing after the same recycled concepts we've been getting. -

Where I live in the US it takes at least 2 weeks to prep and 1 week of shipping. Sometimes it takes nearly a month to arrive from the day I place the order. Definitely worth the wait, but hard to be patient. -
That seems like an awfully cynical take on things. I'm not going to keep an NES plugged in on my desk with World 1-1 queued up at all times. This is a well made display piece with unique functions and parts different from any other set on the market. People aren't purchasing it to play NES games.
-
I was a bit hesitant if it had a $250 price tag, but $200 for 2600 parts is fantastic! The scrolling feature is lovely. This really is an amazing set.

Me too! It's completely changed the way I buy sets to be able to acquire rare parts so easily. -
Do you guys think Chris McVeigh designed this one? Very similar to some of his old building kits.

Now that they're actually using the theme to its full potential, I'm scared just how much money I'll sink into it with more sets like this.

It seems like the licensing restrictions are rather arbitrary anyway. After all, you can purchase the new Captain Marvel helmet pieces but can't buy a pig as mentioned earlier. Not all of it makes sense, but I suppose we just have to make due with what they decide and be happy with what's available. -

Oops, guess I jumped the gun on that one. Misunderstood what you meant by exclusives. Sorry! Do you know if the exclusives in the shop are being sold regularly, or is it a raffle-type system? Sure it is still up in the air, just curious.
