    Exactly. Last year's Designer's Video also had the Designer talking about a Hotel missing. Without copying the original tweet, it might impress, but seeing the original, it doesn't say that much in my opinion.

    You might be right. Last year, the Taj Mahal was released on Cyber Monday, and two days later the Downtown Diner was announced. This year, Vestia Wind Turbine is then released on Black Friday instead of Cyber Monday, but still they might wait until somewhere next week to announce the next modular.

    Last year, it was leaked by a Chinese site on 19 November 2017 (still 18 November in Europe and US). And it only was announced officially by Lego on 29 November 2017. Let's hope that we will get some more info in the upcoming weeks.

    You mean that lego will not leave a gap in the numbering? I guess that is true. However, Lego does not release the sets in sequential order. For example: 10256 was announced on 30 October 2017 10257 was released on 1 June 2017

    No problem. I just think he did a good job and came up with some really nice ideas and is really suited as a designer. That is really weird. I don't have the set yet. Maybe you bought the 'standard' version? (Just kidding)

    I found the video about the designing process very interesting. Also that he says they worked on it from September 2016 to March 2017. And how he says that he found a way to offset the side windows by one plate and much more. I liked it a lot. One also been saying they find it weird that the designer knows less about the history than AFOLs: If you see the video, you know that the guy really knows what he is talking about. He also referred to the timeframe of the modulars and that Town Hall contains a computer.

    I saw a lot of persons stating that if it was real the leaked image would be removed. We can conclude that this is not the case.

    I like it. Modulars would be really boring if they tried to be realistic. An actual Diner probably has around 20 or more tables?

    You are right. With the new lego the T is a little bit on top of the O whereas with the calendar it is not. Although I don't expect too much from this.

    If you look at the Calendar, you can see that the Anniversary set is not placed on a specific date or dates and above 125$. However, it is probably limited to a time period. I don't see double VIP though. I believe just before Christmas there might be a double VIP points action, but I don't know if you can preorder and you probably do not get the anniversary set.

    I know some were against it, and I can understand if the style doesn't meet your preferences. But I actually like the design a lot. To me I think it also jumps out way more in a line up than some of the buildings. I hope it is a great build with lots of fun. I think it can also make a great MOC of a kondo on the top floor of a building like a kind of penthouse.

    Hahaha, first you give very good reasons why it could be fake. Then good reasons why it could be real. No one is really sure so perhaps that is why TLG doesn't care about it being leaked?

    Ok, that makes it another day hahaha. I am really curious now. Probably today someone will react with 'I heard it will be on the 30th' and we can keep going until someone is right

    I guess they do it tomorrow then with the focus today on Cyber Monday. I really hope tomorrow we hear more!

    Welcome to the forum. If you start reading this topic from page 215, you will see that the picture was posted there and that there are many different opinions to if it is either real or not.

    What do you mean with 'is will be until'? Will the announcement be on the 28th or do you mean somewhere between now and the 28th as maximum? Regarding the Diner design. I actually like it quite a lot and I think it can be a great build to make with lots of fun. You will never fit everyone's taste and if you try that you will probably get some boring stuff. Hopefully the anouncement comes soon.

    Hello, I just joined last week to this forum because I was checking out the rumours of the modular buildings. Since June my interest in modular buildings started with Detective Office (10246). This summer I bought Palace Cinema (10232) These also have my interest and since last week I bought Brick Bank (10251) and Parisian Restaurant (10243). I am also planning to build my own modular buildings, but I first want to sort out my bricks in a logical way which I am already struggling with a lot. Next to this, I also started collected the Winter sets and my lego collection started with Lego technic sets (42042 and 42043). Furthermore, I retrieved all my childhood lego from my parents which really is buckets and buckets full, but I don't want to mix them with my Lego as some are damaged (I was a child of course back then haha) and colors are quite different. I live in the eastern part of the Netherlands.

    Really no problem, it is not my creation I only shared the link. You can click on "Quote" at someone's post and then it will be copied in your message. I just bought the Parisian Restaurant set this morning (next to having bought Detective's Office, Palace Cinema and Brick Bank since June). Having found this interest for modulars is not really good for my wallet. For me it would be better if the next modular will not be released too soon, but of course I can also not wait haha
