I was thinking maybe they'll just put the house ghosts in the D2C which will likely be less movies 1-3 and more the whole series, which would allow the grey lady to be based off deathly hallows, and considering they put NEarly Headless Nick in the Great Hall it seems likely they might do the same with the D2C, it would make them more collecatble and I can see those being more likely to satisfy someone who forks out $500 for some rare figs as opposed to someone like Snape who should be more easily accessible. So if that's true adn they don't put them in the collectible figs maybe they'll put the founders.

I wonder if he's in the Womping Willow? Surely that or the D2C, I can't see him being inanything else.

I wonder if we'll get a new version of Fluffy considering these sets are mostly based on the first two movies, I'd also hope we get a collectible Lockhart with some of those little pixies.

The child characters seem to have 'baby faces' do you think they'll change them with age?

I really love the new wand piece, I mentioned a while back I hoped they'd lose the stick pieces - this is one thing I wanted so bad when the original sets came out, I always cut the bits in half and shaved them down a bit to look like the ones in the game now I don't have to abuse parts! I love what a breath of fresh air this is compared to the usual revival of old franchises, almost all of this is new and not recycled!

I don't mean to sound rude or anything truly, but I don't think the color of Quirrel's clothes is that big of a deal, the brown is fairly dark anyway and I'm sure LEGO wasn't going to cough up a new color just for one, fairly minor character from one franchise who I'm sure, even though not on screen, probably wears a different outfit day-to-day then we're led to expect from a film. We're lucky we're even getting a Quirrel in 2018, as someone who collected all the old HP stuff.

Agreed, a much needed fresh take on a character who's had the same look since the brand started 17 years ago. Also just realized there is no white flesh tone on the sweaters this time so they don't have to be strictly white characters.

It's actually truer to the movies as they didn't have crests on their sweaters, they had them on their cloaks, maybe in preparation for a new cloak piece in other sets? I have to say, Harry Potter sets are the only ones I've collected in my life but these are so much better than anything we've got, maybe it's my lack of experience in the last few years but the detail on the figs are stunning. Just look at this new Hagrid compared to the old one, and Qurriel. Mcgonagall and Draco look mostly the same but other than that they all look fantastic. The set just invokes that sort of fairy tale charm from the original 2 movies and I absolutely love it, feels very much like the Disney set.

Difference is I don't think Ninjago did as well as the other Lego Movies, and Harry Potter is already a finished established franchise.

They may include them in the future, Cho, Luna, Cedric ect. all become more relevant to later movies and Newt was a Hufflepuff. Now that I think about it they should just make some battle packs, one with two Ravenclaw students and two Hufflepuff + some wands and a little vignette of the castle, maybe add two Death Eaters or just make them their own battle pack.

I think light grey roofs with sand green accents and light tan for the actual castle would be nice.

I'd like this better, I wonder how they'd do Olympe though. Speaking of I wonder if we'll see them do Series 1: movies 1-3 Series 2: movies 4-5 Series 3: movies 6-8

We're getting 20 figures besides them so I'm not sure what the big deal is. I'm also excited for the house ghosts, I don't think we've ever gotten them in minifigure form before? Hopefully they're not just solid grey and more like the banshee from CMF.

The prospect of Harry Potter figs in 2018 is so wild to me, it was the first series I collected (and the last) so I'll probably collect these too. I wonder if we'll get a new printing for Harry, Hermione and Ron though considering they just used hte old one in the dimensions packs.

I think it's more likely to be like the UCS falcon and have 5 or less figures rather than more, they'll be wanting to put as much of the moneyi nto the build considering it's a pretty big castle and we've already debated on how they're going to fit most most of it, that's probably why they've packed it all into the Great Hall set. UCS will likely have Harry, Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore maybe an exclusive figure or two.

Since we're getting A UCS Hogwarts hopefully we get some sort of equivalant with Hagrid's Hut and a Quidditch pitch. If this theme is meant to last till the FB movies are over, hopefully we get peaks at Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, Ilvermorny, ect. they would make beautiful sets and we could have a series.

This, I think there's more potential with HP collectable figs because all the sets that have ocme before and are to come mostly only include the main characters (Harry, Hermione, Ron) the heads of houses, and the main teachers. There are characters like Neville, Luna, Ginny that are not included in any of the sets but are important characters with definite potential. Lupin, Trelawny are important professors to year 3 specifically so there's no reason not to include them. Cedric and Luna could easily be included to include Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw torsos, also Cho Chang. I'm fine with the ghosts because they are fun characters that would not be included otherwise but I'd say James and Lily potter are definitely not something I'd prioritize over these other characters.

In the same shade as the Dimensions hermione it would look perfect. I don't know how I feel about the list though, it doesn't offer a whole lot of assecories or new options you'd get with more exciting characters, also it's lacking on a lot of Fantastic Beasts content considering we have so many new characters that aren't going to be in any sets and haven't so far: President Piquery, Credence, Graves, Newt variants with creatures, Queenie, Jacob...

How many new molds do you think we'll get out of the CMFs and sets? Simpsons, Disney, and TLBM were all filled to the brim with new sculpts but I can see them working out just fine with what we have for HP.

I don't think there'd be much demand from anyone for that, especially not kids.

Basically the CMF Wizard but with flesh color and burgundy robes, I'm hoping the CMF line allows them to include more new molds which it surly will. I could see them putting in a few of the smaller animals with Newt variants, maybe they'll even include an actual wand mold this time. I always thought the ones in the games looked better than the regular old stick piece they threw in.

They should make print skirts for students like the collectable minifigs for some variety too, seeing as we might actually get a CMF line.

I wouldn't say that's entirely true, the Harry Potter books are children's books too, and I think every kid likes to be sorted into a house. They don't have to add anything big but at least having small rooms with each house would be nice, as well as of course minifigures with Hufflepuff/Ravenclaw torsos. I should also add Lego made a sorting hat around the time the first sets came out, only they failed to ever actually make torsos for other houses so the set really didn't do much did it... Kids like to play with a roleplaying aspect and I can only imagine houses are part of that.

Honestly I don't think they'll be able to include everything unless they did two big UCS sets. For sure we'll get: Great Hall Staircase Tower Dumbledore's office Astronomy Tower Viaduct Bridge Clocktower Greenhouses All Common Rooms DADA Classroom Potions Classroom Divination Classroom Myrtle's Bathroom Anything else is anyone's guess but I'd wager those are the most central and important parts to put in this set I think we'll likely get all the Head of Houses, as well as a student from every house at the least, I can't see them jamming a bunch of characters in like with the Death Star because the pricing will likely go towards the set itself rather than the figs.

With the new Doctor and writer inbound, the show is shifting gears and getting a marketing overhaul, apparently a big one. I think it's possible the new marketing team has seen the appeal of the set produced and will likely attempt to get a theme going for the new season, I think one of the only things holding back Lego might be that they don't really tend to make sets based off TV shows, notable with the appeal of stuff like the CW DC shows, Agents of SHIELD. I'd like to see them do at least 5 more sets and a Collectible Minifig run, UTC Gallifrey anyone?
