Good question! I knew it was coming sooner or later Unfortunately, I never used a Mac, so I do not have direct experience. Nonetheless, it should work more or less the same with Apple uses as text composition program equivalent to MS Word: save the file, add it into the text document withouth changing the properties (or checking they match the sizes given in the first post, if needed) and print. Of cousre, if any of our Mac using members can share more insights on this aspect, please, be our guests

Nice review, Brickthing! I have mixed feelings on this set, so I'm not sure if I'll get him. I'll wait for your review of Fangz to make a comparison [Language lecture] Actually, Raw Jaw translates as something like Mandibola Feroce in Italian. What you wrote is Spanish, I belive. Btw, litterally it means Ferocious Jaw, not Iron Jaw (which would be Mandibola di Ferro in Italian and Mandibula de Hierro in Spanish). [/Language lecture] This is my favourite action shot (but you shoud know I'm partial towards wolves )

Very nice review! Thanks for sharing, Siegfried I have to correct you on this, though, as the extra long armour piece was introduced in Flat Silver with Drilldozer

Materials to use for customizing
LuxorV replied to thestrongest's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Hi thestrongest, and welcome to the Minifig Customisation Workshop For starters, I'd suggest you to check the MCW Index thread, and especially the Tutorials section, where you'll find many useful answers to your questions. Of course, other, more active, customisers will be able to give you further insight on specific techniques -
Though it can be nice to leave positive feedback on other people's work, I'd warmly suggest you to check the topic dates and avoid resurrecting more than one year old threads in the future. Moreover, if all you want is ask for instructions or to buy a model, please do so via the PM system. Thank you

Please do not quote whole posts, especially when including many images, just to say you like a MOC. Thank you. -
Merging the two topics seems the best move then

Just like last year, TLG has decided to share their internal colour palette for 2011. As you can see, there are some interesting new colours related to the Cars 2 licensed theme.

I don't understand the aim of this topic. Please explain or I'll have to close it. (Note as you're new: use the Add Reply button to post in this topic; not the 'Start a new topic' one.)

Thanks for the feedback people. I really enjoyed building this model, so I'm glad you like it 'She' is almost ready; just need to tweak a few details and take pictures I know Ripley is mainly seen as a tough character, but this idea is mostly based on Alien3 and Alien: Resurrection (especially Alien: Resurrection). I think the comparison between the decals I made some time ago can show her progression from a mere civil worker to a hardeden fighter. I checked Aliens before starting building the Power Loader, and especially the first scenes in which it appears. There, Ripley is not a fierce fighter yet, but just a woman trying to blend in the Marines company, and she is still relatively serene. Here is a reference pic: Stay tuned for a more combative Ripley in the upcoming Power Loader vs Alien Queen episode!

Hi all, I've been quite interested in the Alien saga in recent years and I looked around the various image hosting sites for good LEGO replicas of the iconic characters, scenes and vehicles. Unfortunately, most of the power loaders I found are not very well designed (at least in my eyes), as they are very disproportionate. So, I finally decided to make my own version, as accurate as I could, and in a as correct as possible minfig scale. I hope you'll like it. PowerLoader_007 di LuxorV, su Flickr There is a little trick I used to make the legs: only the right leg is posable, as it is separated from the main body and attached to the minifig 'foot' only, while the other one holds the upper part of the model in place.
