  1. I really wanna see this massive thing when its comple. It probably will be breathtaking.
  2. Studless is far more modular than the old skool technic. Its not opinion, its logic. The problem here is that people are hating and not thinking. There is nothing wrong with old skool technic. Be thankfull that both are compatible, thats the superiority.
  3. Could you please elaborate or maybe a pic? Anyway thanx :)
  4. No to steal this thread or anything, but i feel that both of the LA's are too large and make the whole box too big.
  5. Most three speed boxes look exactly like that. I would be more insterested in how you would motorize the "switching" it self, which i never seen illustrated anywhere..
  6. Model: Something unlike last years. New parts: A new even smaller linear accurator for even smaller applications with Maximum 2 stud expansion. that will make perfect for alot of things, like very compact 3 speed linear gearbox. Or small cosmetic functions which do not require alot of force.
  7. Ah, thanx for the explanation. Good to know i have thos parts. I am constructing a very similar 2-axle suspension for a truck.
  8. So how is the steering mechamism transferred to the chassis from the axle?
  9. Hi. I am very interested in how the "panhard rod" is used in the unimoog. from the pictures ive seen it's still hard to see how its connected to the chassis. My questio is, is the axle statically connected on both ends or is it allowed to move slightly? It would seem that if its static than the entire suspension would move slightly to the side as the shock absorbers contract. I might be wrong since im no expert at these things.
  10. Thanx man, ill give that a try! Sorry for posting in wrong forum btw :p
  11. Hi, you dont have to answere this if you do not know the answere. Simply put i want to get started with MLCad and ldraw. I have worked with it before, it's just that ive made a clean windows install. Its windows 7 64 bit. And it was windows 7 64 before and it worked. It doesnt work now though, because of compatibility or whatever you wanna call it. Do you know how to make it work in win7 x64? Thanx a bunch!
  12. Hey guys. I got lots of new technic legos and have hard time find something special to build. Where do you go on the net and what do you search for to get some nice random mechanical vehicles/machines to look at? Any suggestions appreciated and the more the better :)
  13. Keep it up, i really like the start! Hope you got some nice parts ;)
  14. Thanx man! Heres a couple i found so far:
  15. wow, that is the most impressive moving robot ive seen built in lego. If youd have rubber on the tip of the feet that thing would move even faster.
  16. Hi! Im trying to build a semi-compact car chassis with focus on a nice gearbox wich is operated with a motor. I am interested in any ideas for these kind of gearboxes with 2-4 speeds. I have grown very fond of the 8081 chassis and i plan to use it, maybe somewhat extended. So far i have made a simple linear 3 speed box, with 92637c01 on both sides to shift the gears forward. It is pretty bulky but fits well in the entire mid section of the chassis. Anyways, please throw in anything you find here and thanx!
