Dark Ages my big behind?
ZeekyBoogeyDoog replied to maiq the liar's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I got my first Lego set when I was 4 years old. (I liked rattling the box, I guess). I played with lego until I was 11. I had a dark age from 2001 to 2006. I quit buying Lego because I did not care for the sets Lego was producing; I didn't build much during this time either. I got back into Lego one day because I was bored and decided to rebuild my old sets. Since then I have been making lots of little things or dioramas. -
Weirdly enough, (although it's actually supposed to be me wearing Dr. Who's scarf) I do like reading Harry Potter. The semblance, now that I think about it, is pretty scary 8-

Now all we need is a ghoul building kit and we'll be all set ;-)

Well, I think that to ban someone over Brickshelfgate is inexcusable behavior on the part of an admin. But I will apologize for my bilious comment. -

I am very sorry this happened to you so unjustly. What a jerk >:-( ! -
Nice work! I like how you used a hull piece type not used (to my knowledge) very often for an wooden vessel *y*. The cannon design is great. However, I am really impressed with your yardarms. Very novel way to make them *y* !

Wow. First, I want to extend my sympathy to those who lost their pictures. I had not used Brickshelf for very long, but I always enjoyed looking at everyone's creations. This is indeed a terrible blow to the online community. [speech on] Since it appears now that the site as shut down intentionally, for whatever reason it was, all I have to say to the proprietor is: You, sir, are a jerk. To not give warning of a shutdown may not be the duty of the proprietor, but neither is it the duty of the citizen to save another from misfortune. One would clearly expect one human to save another, and so one would expect the proprietor to announce an imminent closure. To not do this is a bad idea on the part proprietor. If this is all a ploy to make the site a pay site: forget Brickshelf, I will put my images elsewhere. [speech off] Apologies for the angry tone of my post. -
The person above me is faster at posting than I am.

Puurdy wagon. For some reason I find the pulling of the wagon by the two knights pretty amusing...must be that goofy viking face :-) The tower's not too bad considering the serious limitations on parts.
-
My suggestion, of course, was meant in a faery tale land of fantasy where shakos fall from trees :-D I really like the current design of the fort; the towers really add to the overall appearance. The back view is quite imposing *y* I like the interiors, especially the table. The opposing faction figs are great. They remind of late 19th century British soldiers.

I make large dioramas with what I make as well as any sets I have in a particular theme. I am much too neurotic to play with my legos in the traditional sense anymore. What I consider playing is posing minifigs to handle their swords/spears/muskets as realistically as possible while charging/besieging/boarding something. Get me help :-)

Yay! A game! *squeals with glee* The person above me is three years younger than me, is presumably from sentai mountain, has been here much longer than me, and is, according to Merriam-Webster, in fact a usually medicinal or dietary preparation in a small rounded mass :-)

I agree. However, overall very nice. I really like the good guy bishops. Yay for chess pieces looking like what they represent!

Yay for the endurance of piracy! It's always interesting to the see the literal evolution of a MOC. Nice *y*!
