Awesome MOC, wish I had the parts to do something similar. How about some side turrets for better defense (and offense) qualities? Might be hard to apply (especially if you like them retractable), but IMO well worth the effort.
  2. I'm somewhat torn on these designs. Sure, they look really good and detailed (especially considering the size of these MOCs), and I am especially fond of the second, as I really LOVE close-combat mechs. But I realy don't think that a mech armed with tactical nuclear bombs should operate on a line-of-sight base. Better make it a real artillery mech, with an effective range of a hundred miles or so. Replace the plasma cannons with long-range railguns. Just my thought on flavour (I know, I'm a geek). Otherwise, brilliant work.
  3. Absolutely fantastic MOC. and great modded figs. They're actually super-accurate, although I don't remember Chichi to be that well endowed^^.
  4. Although I'm not totally convinced of Hero Factory, I'm really considering getting Raw-Jaw. Its design itself is quite beautiful, and I have the feeling that it holds some very useful pieces for me.
  5. As much as I think the old Space themes were awefully designed, you've done an extraordinary job catching all the model's details. Very well done.
  6. Had my first small cup last week. It's a brilliant solution. And the staff here at Berlin is very eager with helping^^ Picked some orange and lime 1x1 round studs plus dark bley grille tiles and filled it with some 1xX bricks and black SNOT bricks. totally worth. Next thing I'm going to try is the Minifig bar. Need to finish some figs.
  7. Thanks, meyerc13, for the advice. Sonic Boom was fun tobuild and looks awesome on my display shelf.
  8. I keep my collectibles (including two mods) in a bookshelf, guarded by my MOC'ed Mech^^.
  9. Hi, I'm somewhat torn between two vastly different Sets which I'd like to pick up. The first one is the LEGO Creator 5892 Sonic Boom. I really like the Creator series, and I'm especially fond of this model, as it would look great on display. The other one ist the Alien Conquest 7066 Earth Defence HQ. Also a great display model, and probably most useful to me partswise, as I have a soft spot for Robotic and Space MOCs. I love the blue colour scheme, and the minifigs are awesome, too. But it's also twice the price of the jet. A good parts-per-buck ratio is quite important to me, as I recently got out of my Dark Age and still don't have access to my old collection. Which of these two should I buy?
  10. Nice build. Indeed, it looks very organic and has no obvious holes in its structure. I especially like the legs, as their different sizes and the overall muscled look add much to the "organism" of this MOC. What I actually don't like so much is the head, especially . The horns break with the style of the build and look somewhat cartoonish. Maybe something for eyes and horns which extend straight backwards? Overall, it still is awesome, and I hope that one day, my collection (and my skills) might one day enable me to build something as good as yours.
  11. Thank you very much for the help with deep-linking.
  12. Yes, indeed. Reminds me of 80s/90s video games. I especially like the back view of the bike.
  13. Hi folks This is the first "real" MOC I built after my Dark Ages ended recently. I just started doodling with a gun design, then fleshed out the mech. This is actually the third attempt, as the first had a much heavier torso design, which caused the whole structure to collapse. The weaponry was also different, but I managed to produce a second submachine gun. Behold... the GTC92 H.A.M.S.!!! Bipedal, 25 cm tall, minifig scale, slightly posable (working on that) and PURPLE! Here another pic of the submachine gun: Enjoy and C+C, obviously^^. Greetz, Zyniker
