Never owned the 7283 but I don't think the Interceptor is too bulky, especially for my taste. After more than 10 years for dark ages and I think lego nowsaday has more pieces than before and probably bigger. But bulky, no I don't think so. I think it's just only get bigger.

If we don't mod it, then yes. But for us and the kids, I think we got enough of speeder bike in the BP already. The cannon itself is a nice change of weather. Hell, we even got a speeder bike in a non-BP back when an exclusive-not-BP shows up (namely 7869).

Strange, it seems everyone are getting excited about Commander Gree. Even though, there's is already 2 clone ep 3 with green marking similar to Gree few years back. But correct me if I'm wrong, there's no review about 7260 or if I ever saw some MOC that has those Green Troopers .

I study a little about business so this's my point of view (please take not that my English is terrible) Each generation required changes to attract new customer, when the current gen goes old and stop collecting TOYS then it's time to makes change for the new gen. I don't know much about people around here in this topic but I can says alot more of you guys older than me like 2 or even 3 times. But you're still collecting TOYS, anyway. And I would call that "loyal customer", for a big Company/ Corp like Lego, if it's not something suddenly happens like Financial Crysis then it'll properly stay alive for 5 or 6 or may be as far as 8 years into the future even if their product don't sell well (kinda like hotel business, actually a little easier than hotel business). So with new BPs like that. They'll definitely attract more young customer. After all, TOYS are for kids is the thing that nearly every adults think. Well, Gundam Model Kits of Bandai or Military Vehicle of Tamiya is for teen and upper but people in a lot of country still think they are TOYS. More customer, more popular --> higher stock. And like I said in the introduce box when I first start login to this forum, I comes from Vietnam. Which is the price of Lego here is 2 or 3 times higher than US. Ok, now that's normal because maybe we're not that worse than AUS or Singapore. But please take note that a normal citizen here in this country can consider salary about 200$/ month is a nice job. With that being said, the new ideas of BP really makes me amazed. It's a risk move but a brilliant move indeed. Now they are more worth of money than before and in the eyes of people, they're a little more affordable. A little more popular in poor country lead to a little more popular world-wide --> higher stock. Last but not least, they're all IMHO.

I'm starting to think that somehow TLG hate Obi-Wan. In the 99, we got the young Obi-Wan with hood and only hood combined with Luke's face, then our Old Ben at first looks plain. Then after that we got the new color skin and still the same old face with old hood, new Ben got a angry or annoying face which never shows up in the movie. And now, we got another hood with a confidence and cheeky face for a never seen before attitude which never shows up in the movie, too.

Your problem is big, man. I too grew up with The Phantom Menace, lost all of my lego before and the next thing I knew is start hunting all of the old set in 1999. Now they're all sit in shelf peacefully. If you find it hard to build it then just dislay the box in the shelf. Still very beautiful.

I would love to see another Gunship. Truth to be told, I don't have that much feelings with the Zam Wessel, I love the color scheme of Slave I Boba more than Jango, I already have the AT-TE... Things that are left is the new Gunship with better mold color or new features. Both the old Gunship falls into my Dark Age along with Batman theme, now they are just out of reach .

Sorry if I'm just jump to conclusion but I saw some SW ship one the amazon and I think they looks quite accurate compare to lego. Especially the Gunship. And just like what I said before, something buildable like lego or model kits need the mod or moc to make it looks more fascinating. After all, toys are for kids, so the toy makers obviously aim for the younger audience rather than us adults .

I've been talking with my wife about this set lately. Seriously, I don't know what'll I become when I'm 30 or 40 but right now despite all the lame or childish features, I found this set quite attractive. Although, the flick-fire missiles is still the lamest features but I still think that the cramp space, the cran of the bridge, the weapons wall or the gate for tauntaun are all lovely. I don't know if this's because I been playing with Gunpla model kits for years but you can't really get what you want for just a hundred bucks or so. Beside, if we're really interested about accuracy then I think figure or action figures would be a better choice instead of something buildable like Lego. Great review, though.

DC Heroes are great, but now I just think about The Flash. He's the plainiest character here, without the vehicle or a real headsquarter. And since the new theme is called Super Heroes, then let's hope about something like the way back Silver Age and Golden Age .
