i am also one of those huge transformers fans, though definitely spent more on Lego the past few years, tempted to pick up an optimus prime after reading this thread and some of the reviews

8017 Darth Vader's Tie Anniversary set, by accident really, grabbed it to make up the 3 for 2 deal offer, who would have known that started the snowball of Lego i have now

kobe bryant is one of my all time favorite nba players and his nickname is 'blackmamba' so i replaced the black with brick so there is some connection to lego lol

i was lucky enough to pick up one of the lego large cases in complete black but since then it seems all the large cases i have seen in shops have the white base plates which i am not a fan of, just wondering if the older versions been discontinued?

well since everyone is voting I'm an OT fan so for now will vote Sandtrooper (squad leader, orange), the R units with the new heads come a close 2nd

i'm embarrassed that i didn't even know about this comp and i'm an architect some of my fav architects are out of rotters, good work on the build

i haven't seen the official box pics for the dc stuff, cheers for the link the 2 smaller sets look like good bang for buck in terms of the figs you get that being cat-woman chase and lex power armor and the batcave looks the best out of the bigger sets, it's going to be an expensive year

i am a bit of a purest and i don't mind the detailing as long as it is subtle and the fig doesn't lose it's simple Lego charm, it is a hard line to define from what i have seen in the market the figs that have the extra detail have always commanded the premium prices, just think cloud boba with printed legs and stormies with printed legs from imperial inspection set so it seems TLG has noted this and is giving what the market wants must admit some of the new figs are overly detailed though these sets are 'new releases' and most people want something new whether it looks good or not, and for the ones that don't there's always eBay

well since this thread is open again wanted to say the leia/photocopy moc was pure genius, awesome build
