  1. Well colour me surprised. Those prices are very reasonable*. The motorcycle set is a good price considering the mini figs. The lost tomb is also at a very good price point considering the price to brick ratio and it comes with lots of rare coloured bricks. The Temple Escape is seemingly quite the bargain with all the mini figs and the bricks plus it's a rather fantastic set. As pjibid the license could be cheaper than SW because certainly the prices are a cut below the equivalent set for SW**. Although it could also be the result of Lego making these prices lower to get them into more people' hands. Although the Motorcycle chase is just too expensive for a motorbike, horse and truck with some mini figs. *Lego could have made them a lot more expensive ala Star Wars. **Although comparing the two themes is slightly impossible considering one focuses on star ships and vehicles and the other on playsets,
  2. Cool idea although I still feel guilty about opening all my boxes sometime ago in November, it kinda beats the point of owning the Advent Calander. Still what's a boy to do; let a new Lego set go to waste? :-P
  3. I would love to see a new RGS and AT-TE having never purchased one or perhaps Lego could top it all off and give us a set akin to this buteaiful MOC? *Crosses fingers*
  4. I never noticed that before, and the reflections seems to match the mask perfectly, we live in hope it's an extra mini-fig and not a mistake by Lego.
  5. I love it *wub* ! Perfect for accurately representing a cargo plane rather than the smaller, blocky planes of old. Granted it's more <insert that tiresome argument> than previous efforts but I prefer that slight edge of realism. Especially when it looks very cool, as is the case with this one. It looks like a Lego version of a C-130, I wonder if it will have an opening back door. Speaking of which has Lego ever released any Parachuting minifigs? I smell a skydiving MOC coming up....
  6. The Rogue Shadow looks very good in my opinion, I like the two pronged design and the black colour scheme it screams out Sith, even if some of the details like the red laser things look out of place. Still it
  7. Wow that is one awesome kit, how complicated is the build? I found a cool time lapse video of the MF being constructed:Time-Lapse-Build.
  8. Wow I never thought I'd be impressed by a box but I certainly am now. Any chance of seeing all 5000 bricks in a big pile? Too true, never had I imagined thinking about buying a
  9. The resemblance is uncanny. I never thought I would see an Imperial Officer in parachute pants, lovingly modelled here by MC Hammer. Still it
  10. Great topic. Anyway onto the post. It's hard to pick which film was the worst but I will have a go anyway. First of all I personally think Empire Strikes Back and Revenge of the Sith were the better of the six films, although I still skip the scenes with puppet Yoda in ESB and in Revenge I skip anything with Natalie Portman involved. "So this is how democracy dies, with rapturous applause?" That ranks as one of the worst lines committed to celluloid, delivered by one of the worst actresses that managed to take away any effect that the line was supposed to have. Episode 1 to me still is a good film, while Jar Jar isn't exactly the coolest character in the SW Universe I still think it's a good character (racist accusations aside). Although having Anakin destroy the Droid Control Ship by accident was silly as was all the talk of Midichlorians. Return of the Jedi was by no means terrible but it has its fair share of awful moments. Having the big reveal of Leia and Luke being twins was fairly pointless because all it did was make the final showdown between Luke and Vader that tad weaker as Vader said that if Luke dies it doesn
  11. When watching it walk it reminded of images you see in wildlife documentaries of new born animals like Giraffes etc who can barely walk without looking like it had been out on a night of drinking. Still the walking motion is good considering the price and materials used and is it me or does the head move as well? The motion is capturing the Battle of Hoth in my eyes very well, with it slowly walking forward and the head moving around targeting the Rebel scum. Still I am unsure about purchase because the design is a little too skeletal, there
  12. Okay that is a very, very cool set; it
  13. Some impressive work there. I love the Imperial base, it makes me want to buy an Imperial Landing Craft they always look impressive when on display. Some great MOC figures there I'm suprised Lego had them on display. Wow the Falcon never fails to invoke a feeling of awe in me, it's just so massive compared to the sets it's next to.
  14. I'm in doubt that the orbs contain any form of Time Lords now since I don't recall there being 6 billion of them. Although in terms of them attacking innocents they could either be under The Master's hypnosis or they have been tortured beyond any recognition of what good they used to do, ala Anakin Skywalker. I'm going more towards them being nu-Dalek type of beings. Hearts ;-) Bloody Doctor and his silly anatomy. Hopefully UNIT will make some form of intervention against The Master next epsisode. I'm just disappointed about Torchwood being up a hill in the Himalayas unable to help out. Surely they would have heard about the first contact with the aliens and been rushing to play a part in it?
  15. That design is very nice, very mean and suits Anakin's grasp of technology and mechanics. Plus it looks very much like he starpped a pod racer to the bottom of it, plus it has the same colour scheme as his old pod. Although I feel sorry for R5 who is rather exposed to enemy fire.
  16. Three of my favourites "73 percent of statistics are made up."- I can't remember where I got it but I shall quote away. "don't get cocky"- I just love the banter between Han and Luke during the battle. "Nobody move, dropped me brain."- Pirates of the Carribean At World's End
  17. Wow just wow. That is incredible. I love the colour scheme and the flag poking out of the end of the ship. Although one burning question, does it float in the pool?
  18. Looks like a very nice set, although the catapult looks a bit out of place. Any idea of when it's going to be released or a price?
  19. While he does look older (it's called the aging process) he doesn't look half as bad as I had envisioned. Still my only concern is the rather unconvincing blood on his knee. Still it's great to see Indy back.
  20. Well that episode was a bit of a suprise, but a bloody great episode. As for the Toclafane I have two theories. The Master was around during the Time War so they could be "new Daleks" as UltraPrime suggested, that The Master somehow made or was given. Or they could contain the souls (or something along those lines) of the entire Time Lord race after all the orbs seem to appear from the Rift. So perhaps they are Daleks from a different dimension. Either way it would break the Doctor's heart. The Valiant is a UNIT craft so it wouldn't have a USS or HMS title before the name. I don't know about everybody else but I can't stop tapping my fingers all the time to the drums of war. Aye the final episode of the series is next saturday so it's a rather epic three parter finale. Exciting, eh?
  21. For me I would like a new Death Star theme. That way we could have sets like: Detention Block- Can Luke, Han and Chewie rescue the Princess or will their identity be discovered by the Imperial officers? Set contains a small corridor and the front section with the monitors and turbolift. Minis-figs- Han and Luke in Stormtrooper uniform, two Imperial detention guards, Imperial officer and Chewbacca (with Batman handcuffs). Price around
  22. Grrr silly Lego and their obsession with US only promos. Just kidding I think it's great dea as long as the sets they give away are of a good quality (or at least come with a decent or perhaps exlcusive mini fig like a new Jedi sculpt). Still theres always Bricklink/eBay for those desperate for the sets. Time will tell as to how good the sets are, if they are of a similair style to the current batch of free sets then I for one am not too bothered about missing out on them. As for chocolate a big bar of Galaxy is easily a slice of heaven. For thsoe not in the know Galaxy is produced by the Mars company, a US operation, so indeed the US does have good chocolate or at least in my eyes it does.
  23. I feel your pain (ex Mac owner) but you could always run Bootcamp if you've got an Intel based Mac: Bootcamp linky. Still it maybe ported to other systems in the future, well I say maybe I mean hopefully.
  24. A trading system would be good as well as lots fo AFoLs, I sense a EB clan forming... Another quick idea is that they could somehow intergate Lego Factory into the game so that if you like somebody's car design you can buy it online as a real set as well as buy it "in game."
