  1. Just to think, if the house was constructed on the land at Legoland, none of this would have happened.
  2. From what I've heard so far its not all that interesting to me, then again I need to see the game in action before I could assess it fairly.
  3. Good point but then again for a set like this they couldn't miss out the main characters since that would make little sense. Besides I don't have a Han, Darth etc so to get all of the main trilogy protagonists and antagonists in the one set is lovely. I agree some of the choices are a bit skimpy considering the price but adding new molds would only further inflate the price. Besides we get a new Darth and Palpentine torso as well as chrome lightsaber hilts again. The minifigs we are getting are printed at the top of the box: Edit by Hinckley: pics removed by request of TLG. No multiple Darth etc.
  4. Sometimes I hate The Lego Group so much. To think I wasn't going to get any Lego sets this year and was instead going to buy a Playstation 3. But dang it they just have to bring the most awesome set I have every seen. Suddenly my plans have changed. I am so excited. The minifigs, while I am not a fan of sets that spend more budget on figures than set design this has got it perfectly. Its so cute with the details like the tiny Tie Advanced. Although that cargo room underneath the Tie is so getting changed to have the mini Falcon inside it instead of a box and crane.
  5. I can't believe nobody has posted the pic of the actual Jungle Dual set. Courtesy of Gizmodo.com: Jungle Dual-$9.99. River Chase $19.99. Jungle Cutter $39.99. Temple of the Crystal Skull $79.99. Full story and more information - http://gizmodo.com/350473/new-indy-movie-l...o-crystal-skull
  6. Considering it'd be the tenth anniversary I think a model of the most iconic ship of them all. A new Millennium Falcon! Now it's hardly original but I think a new mini fig MF could be very cool. Have actual separate rooms this time unlike the previous version not to mention make room for 4 in the cockpit. This is the set I personally want although the recent UCS MF kinda makes this set redundant. If not this than a Royal Starship set is something I'm in favour of.
  7. Thanks for posting I love hearing about the design process behind the sets. Oh my those are hilarious and so true, especially the "one more step," comic I've lost many an hour to those dreaded words....
  8. Finally it's open. It's a good site too, I like the wallpapers. Anybody solve the number puzzle yet? I suggest you do the reward is nice enough... Thanks for posting it FORCE.
  9. Poor Grevious we all make mistake :-P I just got the set and I think it
  10. I voted for the Ship's Captain since I like the torso and the Republic Captain becuase it's about as original as a Bond baddie wearing a blue boiler suit. I would vote for Kisto but I didn't like the rubbery texture or the rather hit and miss mould if it were pure plastic I would have.
  11. Wow now that's impressive although I must point out the person who put it together must have a lot of patience since they could all easily fall down. I call here all the
  12. None yet I am toying between getting either the Cargo Plane or The Temple Escape, I'm also waiting for them to get the Rogue Shadow in stock as I may get that instead depending on how good it looks in "real life", there's too many sets I want :-P. Although I am currently wavering towards getting the Temple Escape as it's a very nice set and I can also combine The Lost Tomb and Temple Escape into a whole new temple moc thing.
  13. It's slightly strange to see them but it's a still a cool idea although I hope they don't make Yoda as fast as he is in the movies as he could run rings around the other characters*. I thin it's a shame that Yoda is the 360 exclusive character as I would have preferred Luke or even Anakin since their style of fighting is more in line to the series. Plus he just isn't as bad megablocks as Vader, no disrespect to our very own Yoda of course. *Pun not intended since if it were intended is would be god-awful.
  14. The best way (other than laborious dusting every week or so) is to get some good glass cabinets. I used the same thing to display my miniatures (I play Warhammer 40,00 and used them to display my painted armies). However I suggest you get a nice sturdy case as I unfortunately had mine fall over destroying the case and some of my figures. Or if you don't want to spend too much money support it against a wall or weigh down the base.
  15. Well after 2 weeks of searching my local toy shops most days in vain, one of them finally got all of the Indiana Jones sets as well as the new City sets. Suffice to say I am a very happy AFOL. *wub* *wub* Although something I noticed is that one of the biggest toy shops; Woolworths are stocking less and less Lego sets and even then they are now stocking sets that cost more than
  16. Wow that's a fantastic layout, I love all the details and ideas like having the Ghostbusters there and the guards playing baseball is a very nice touch. I love this genius way of making a minifig wear shorts and socks:
  17. Okay that is one awesome set by the looks of things. Not only are Lego bringing out a new Republic Gunship but they are also putting in some new Jedi in the set, now that's what I call fan service. What exactly is the big black structure inside the Gunship, it looks slightly like a speeder bike but I'm not too sure, ay ideas?
  18. One of the slightly annoying aspects of this and other forums is some people when talking about sets just use the set number which can make it a pain understanding what they are talking about. Because you have it search for the set number before knowing what the mean and when they mention 3 or 4 numbers in one post it can make reading a message take too long. On Warseer.com their forums use this system: With any acronym you hover your mouse over it and the meaning of the acronym appears in a sub window. Is it possible to this one these forums but with set number so that if you hover your mouse over a set number the name of the set will appear?
  19. 84) You chose what house to buy based on how many bricks were put into building it and if that offers a good price to brick ratio. 85) Your children and everyobdy else who is short now have suddenly lost the usage of their legs* 86) You wonder why people are into horse riding when thier legs don't even move. *http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?M=hp017 I do oh so hate the new short legs.
  20. I said "interesting," the quotes indicating I
  21. Hmm it looks "interesting" although lets all reserve judgment until we some final set pictures. Although I was really hoping the theme would be akin to older Bond films type espionage action. As for violence in non license themes, Lego has done it a lot throughout their history with themes like Pirates and Castle. However the new themes like Mars Mission are more play orientated so we have flick missiles etc. While the idea goes against the Lego ethos the violence is never implicit, the preliminary picture of the Agents doesn't suggest violence to me it suggest a lot of fun little vehicles. No to mention neither Dino Attack or Mars Mission are pitting humans against humans it
  22. :-$ well I feel silly. It definitely could be cheaper although it's the easiest way too get an Indy figure with all the extra trimmings and at the same time you get a German, Indy
  23. Well both the Tumbler and the Joker appear in The Dark Knight, the sequel to Batman Begins so it's a loose link but that could be Lego's reasoning, although the cartoon Batman is a red herring. As for the model itself I hope Lego can "smooth" it out although I may buy it even if they don't to modify it.
  24. I whole heartedly agree 272 pieces for
  25. Sorry I mustn't have made myself very clear. I meant that considering that both IJ and SW are big Lucasfilm licenses the prices for IJ are lower than for the equivalent SW sets which I wasn
