  1. In the pictures below you can see an unidentified ship that has not yet been released as a set. Is it possible this is the D2C set that we will see next year? http://imgur.com/a/zAjpm
  2. I would have to agree that it is quite disappointing and i wish they had waited to make this a more spectacular ship since it is the main ship in the movies. In my opinion i wish they had made a black pearl from the kraken scene in the second movie, that way we would have gotten more of the black pearl crew (not flying Dutchman's crew) and a kraken. I really think that the mini-figures are nice but without a flying Dutchman they are pointless and more Black pearl crew would have been more useful. Also i'm sure many other people as well as myself are disappointed that in the QAR and the BP they have more slots for cannons then they have actual cannons, in my opinion why put cannon slots there just to be empty. It would almost seem that Lego expects us to go out and buy more cannons to complete the ship. All in all it doesn't look terrible but i'm still not sure if it is worth the money.
  3. Okay, thanks Admiral, it really helped and I believe that the pictures are now up. I think that my problem was that I use Google chrome and in the URL it does not show the http:// part but it does appear if you copy and paste the photos, when I went to copy and paste them it had 2 http:// which is why they did not appear. I really appreciate the help!
  4. David Hensel ‎- "TODAY WILL BE REMEMBERED AS THE DAY YOU ALMOST CAUGHT CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW", said jack as he tripped over a fish while trying to escape- 1 point Although this is a fairly basic response it really reminds me of the many times that Cap'n Jack makes me laugh uncontrollably by what Privateer Barbossa thinks are his "planned exits" and Jack knows that he just makes it up as he goes. Nice Job! Steve Meitzler ‎- "Help, my bass is on fire!"- 2 points This is a really clever pun that uses a lot of the elements in the picture to create a very clever response. This truly reminds me of something that Jack Sparrow would say and it made me laugh for quite a while, nice job!
  5. As I said in my previous post I was going to post pictures of my revised MOC, unfortunately since I am new here I am having some trouble. What I am doing is adding an image with an image URL from brickshelf, everything is fine when the image goes through and I don't get that annoying error message that says "This image extension is not allowed on this board". However after i preview the post the image symbol shows up but the pictures do not. I tried resizing them through Irfanview and re-uploading them but unfortunately none of that worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  6. Thank you very much, I decided to take your advice and i added a blacksmith sign and a door leading into the blacksmiths. I also raised the walls slightly, i will be posting pictures of my revised MOC later tonight.
  7. This is looking really great so far from the pictures, I can't tell but it looks like there is a large fort in the background of the skeleton pirate picture , anyways looking forward to seeing it finished and good luck!
  8. I think that this is looking good so far, not everything can be done in LDD as can be done with real bricks, the unfortunate part about that is that anything from LDD cost lots of money. My only suggestion is to make a smaller version with real bricks if that is possible.
  9. Hello, today I decided to do a small vignette of a memorable scene in the first Pirates of The Caribbean movie: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Many of you may remember the scene after Jack barely gets off of the docks by swinging on a rope and having a cannon fall on several navy soldiers, after which he moves into the town and hides behind a statue. For this vignette I chose to not completely follow the movie and instead of hiding behind the statue he is hiding in the statue. I know that seems kind of weird but i felt that having him hide behind the statute would take up too much room and that it would also be weird I hope you enjoy and all comments and suggestions are welcome! All is calm in the Town of Port Royal......... Until Jack Sparrow comes running through the streets trying to avoid the soldiers. Jack quickly hides inside the statue and then stands there awkwardly waiting for the next scene! As the navy soldier approaches Jack holds his breath and doesn't move a muscle as to not be noticed. Jack continues to wait until the navy soldier has passed...... And wait..... He waits until the navy soldier is completely out of sight.... Finally, once the soldier leave he bolts, heading for the blacksmith's is just a few paces away. He enters the blacksmith's to find out what lies in store for him..... Thanks for taking a look!!! To be continued?
  10. Queen Anne's revenge reminds me a lot of Brickbeards Bounty in terms of there deck. They both seeem like they need an upper deck but then when you actually add it it just gets in the way because you can't gain access to the cannons below and then you have to add more of a side wall to the upper deck to make it seem right. Both ships should just be made larger and given a true upper and lower deck like the IPF in my opinion.
  11. Now that you fixed the bow it does look less stubby but i still think that the ship is unproportionate, the ship is far to high for its length which needs to be increased or the height needs to be decreased. Also i think the bow come to a rather abrupt stop and that you should make that more gradual and increase the bow length by 6-8 studs so you can do that.if you have trouble with getting it to look good i always suggest using roof tiles connected sideways that way the bow comes to a point. Overall it is still a nice ship and the minifigure crew is good too. Nice job!

    Admirals barge

It looks very good however i think that you should try and do something better with the sail or the whole mast. My suggestion is to your the sail more is the middle and higher up (so you might have the raise the mast and make two cross bars one at the top and one in middle so you can attach a sail) kind of like a frigate sail (not a sloop which is more like yours). that way the barge can still hold its full capacity without the sail getting in the way.

    HMS Centaur

Well first of all i think it is a good start, however i feel that around the bow you kind of got off shape from what an actual ship would be (I think it it too square looking.) However I think you did a nice job on the lower decks and the captains quarters. My suggestion is on the front try to make it come to more of a point possibly using roof tiles. I don't really know it's just a suggestion but other than that nice job!
  14. Thanks, I know that it is pretty bare and that some pieces dont match and I am still going to work on more details and possible a second story porch, i will also focus of moree foliage but the most detailed is the inside.
  15. This is My version of the Pirates of the Caribbean Governors Mansion. All of the sections of the two story mansion are removable including the roof, and the second floor giving you access to the first floor. All of the floors are fully decorated and have many mini-figs. On the very top of the roof you can see through to the supports which i tried to cover up but have still not been able to find a good way to ( if you have any suggestions about this or any other problems please comment with your suggestion). In the picture i have included many views from the side, top, front, and inside the mansion itself. In total there are 17 mini-figs including: 3 guards, 1 governor/ admiral, 1 wife, 1 daughter, 1 advisor, 1 politician, 1 captain, 2 cooks, 1 waiter, and 5 servants. Inside the mansion there is a meeting room with a 4 seat table and a bookshelf, a bedroom containing both the wife and daughter along with a king bed (well large anyways), a cabinet, a dresser with a lamp on top, a pole with an extra hat, and a desk with a map. On the bottom floor there is a kitchen with a waiter and two cooks along with a stove and pot with flames around it, a cabinet with a knife inside, 3 bins containing a mix of chicken legs, carrots, fish, pots, and a knife. there are also two beer kegs and a table with two glasses. In the main room there are servants on a bench and a doorman in front of the door. Furniture wise the is a desk and seat with a scroll, envelope, and a wine glass. There is also another dresser with a map on top. Also in the room there is an organ and a crate containing maps and letters. As the exterior goes the is a nice set of marble (in this case white legos) steps down to ground level where there are fences on both sides surrounding bushes. The guards stand outside here. In the back there is a garden with a mix of plants and trees, there is one large palm tree at the northeast corner of the house. If you have any comments or suggestions please let me know and take a look at the picture below ( most of my pictures are on the website from the link below, if you would like to see a whole tour of the mansion please go to that website) http://ryanrl7926legopics.webs.com/ Click here or copy and paste to search bar to take a look at my lego pics! Okay, so while i was trying to improve it to give more detail i came across a few posts and towers (they are pictured below) i think if i incorporate them with the building it would look nicer. So i tried to make a front porch with the posts, unfortunately the posts went up to high and so i would either have cut the post (can't do) or have to raise the building ( also can't do). So right now the porch idea is out of the question so if you have any suggestion on what i could do to add more detail please share it with me.
