  1. Last year i created a EV3 Cereal Dispenser (EV3CD). It is breakfast fun for the entire family. The EV3CD includes storage for the cereal, a filling device, and a scale. Each family member is identified by the EV3CD with a colored LEGO brick. Each family member’s serving size in grams is stored in the program. If a family member wants cereal, s/he logs in at the EV3CD and the portioning process begins: the cereal is filled into a small bowl and continuously weighed by the integrated scale. Once the stored weight is reached, the filling process stops. The scale includes a gyro sensor to calculate the weight. The scale’s range measures from 0 to 40 grams. Enjoy the video :-) Andreas
  2. Hi! Thank you for praise! We are perforating the paper with the laser. Actually we are moving the Laser with a higher speed ( It is also possible to control the power via javaprogramming) as at the cutting the outline. It is easier to fold the perforated paper. You can see the thick outline on the photo. The paper is cutted there. And you can see thinner line. These are the perforated lines.
  3. Hi ! Basic material is a LEGO plate. But we put a black aluminium sheet onto the LEGO plate.
  4. I studied electrical engineering. I am working with computers since 1981 :-) and worked as an scientist after finished the university. Now i am working as an lecturer at the university and using LEGO Mindstorms in my lessons with the students. I am also presenting the greater papercube-project on different events worldwide.
  5. Papercube is a fully automated Lego "factory" created by students and me Germany's Jade Hochschule. It is a scale model of an actual production line. The machine takes a piece of paper and runs it through a series of processes that manipulate it into a paper cube. The paper is then perforated by a laser to outline the shape the cube will eventually take. The laser is enclosed in a protective, orange casing to protect the eyes of anyone watching this process. Enjoy our video :-) Andreas
  6. Hi ! Some students and me create a new exercise for other students. This time we constructed a robot using mecanum wheels. Students should learn how to control this robot using mathematical equations and implement them in Java leJOS. Have fun! Andreas
