LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
marksable replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Is there any update on the rumored Jabba’s Throne Room diorama? Or, put another way, do we definitively know it’s been ruled out. I seem to remember it being a possibility for 2023, now there doesn’t seem room for it this year, I’m unclear how far into 2024 the new leaked reveals go until. Still hoping that they’ll find another way to offer Jabba besides a massive sail barge. -

I seem to remember there being a rumor of a Jabba’s Throne room set. Now that there’s a list of all the 2023 sets I don’t see one. Was it a false rumor? Delayed? -

I don’t mean to make light about a horrific real world incident, but with the news about Jonathan Majors I can’t help we might never get a Kang minifig. Obviously not my first thought or concern about the situation but it does but the character and plans for the next phase of MCU in jeopardy. -

When do we think the earliest we’ll see a Kang minifig is? When is most realistic? im hoping we get one from the CMF set since a version of him was in Loki. I’m just hoping I don’t have to wait until the next Avengers movie. -

Wait, I’m confused. Has the remaining big set been confirmed to be a UCS Razorcrest or is there still a possibility it will be a MBS set? -

When May26th is mentioned as the VIP release date, does that mean it will be in stores for VIPs on May 26th, or just online? -

Does May 26th mean May 26th for everyone or just VIPs? if it’s For everyone, does that mean VIPs could get it earlier? -

So, when I try to go to the page I had bookmarked for The Bespin Duel on Target.com it's saying "product is no longer available". Is that just me or is anyone else unable to find a listing for it on Target? -

Follow up question - is the Bespin Duel available on Target.com. I know it’s a RedCard exclusive, I’m waiting for the card I signed up for to arrive and hoping it gets here before the sets sell out on Target (as they have on LEGO.com). Also, question about the Cantina. The date is rumored to be 9/16. Is that the earliest I’ll be able to order it online, or will it be available to order earlier so that it can arrive on the 16th. Amazon allowed me to order the Razorcrest so it arrived on the releas date, but I. Know they operate differently than LEGO. thanks in advance -

Has it been confirmed (or rumored) that LEGO will be releasing a FO Tie interceptor? Seems strange that they’ll have the FO tie interceptor from Resistance as well as from episode IX (not to mention Kylos fighter which is very interceptor-like. I actually had to pause the trailer to see it wasn’t Kylo’s Ship from Episode VIII) -

Do we know whether there will be any interior for the Tantive IV? I am confused by the UCS/MBS designations and what they might mean for the set. -

For those of you asking about finding images, for me the easiest way has been to go on Instagram and just search for the hashtag #legoleaks. It will include non-SW stuff, but you can sort it by top posts, what's most recent etc. and you can follow it like you'd follow an individual account. -
Adding OT radar dish to 75105 Millenium Falcon?
marksable replied to marksable's topic in LEGO Star Wars
@That Orange Thing - Thanks! I was find able to download the instructions. (For anyone looking in the future, the dish is on p42 step 92 of the 2nd book of instructions for 7965.) I was not sure how to find the parts without part numbers or the words to describe them, but when I went to Bricklink and looked up the set it was pretty easy to scroll through and find (what I think are) the (right) parts. Now I just have to hope my colorblindness doesn't betray me:) -
I just got the 75105 Millenium Falcon (the mini-fig scale TFA one). I'd like to be able to display it as an original rrilogy Millenium Falcon. Does anyone know what pieces I'd need to convert the radar dish to the one from the prior OT minifig one (I believe 7965?). My hope is to bricklink the pieces (would I need part #s to do that? I've only ever used bricklink for minifigs). If you know of any instructions for how to do so, I'd appreciate that as well. Thanks - Mark

Question to you and others who have seen the hi res images and can compare the new TIE to the last one, which I own but haven't opened. Do you think the difference in the build alone justifies buying the new one? I'm not really a fan of the new minifigs vs. the old ones, and comparing the images I don't see a tremendous difference. I'm trying to debate whether to wait for the new TIE or build the old. I don't mind waiting, and I could always sell the old one and hope the money would cover buying the old minifigs. I haven't been holding on to the TIE for $, I just haven't had the time or room to build it until now) (There haven't been hi-res pics of the X-Wing yet, have there? Again, I own the last non-UCS one that was put out and I'm trying to make the same decision). -
Hi everyone, Does anyone know whether the Force Awakens Millennium Falcon (75105) and Special Forces Tie Fighter (75101) are discontinued? They are listed as "sold out" on Lego's site, and appear to be in low supply/for high prices on Amazon. Lego will list some sets as retired others as sold out and still others as backordered (The Special Forces Tie says ""Call to check product availability"...not sure if I'm supposed to call Lego or call around to Lego stores individually). So..does "sold out" mean temporarily sold out or does it mean it's been discontinued/retired? (I have the same question about The Palace Cinema, which is similarly listed as sold out but not retired. I ask because I'm debating whether to pick these sets up on ebay. I'm perfectly willing to wait if it comes back in stock. Thanks in advance Mark

Force Friday (30th September) promotions

Was able to order all 5 Rogue One sets on S@H. Like with the Death Star at midnight last night, haven't gotten an e-mail confirmation but it says "in process" on the order status screen. (I got to an "order receipt screen" though instead of an error screen like last night, so progress?) The RO sets didn't show up as backordered, they just let me put them in the cart and buy them.. I did the order on my ipad using Safari, as opposed to my PC and Chrome. I'm wondering if that had anything to do with my success, as when even now when I can't get to the Rogue One page at Shop@Home on the PC. EDIT: Okay, I can get to them - and they are all saying AVAILABLE NOW - but only by going into my order and directly linking to each set individually. Here are the links, hope they work for you: https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Krennic-s-Imperial-Shuttle-75156 https://shop.lego.com/en-US/AT-ST-Walker-75153 https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Rebel-U-Wing-Fighter-75155 https://shop.lego.com/en-US/TIE-Striker-75154 https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Imperial-Assault-Hovertank-75152 (No Revan, but I was lucky enough to get one last night with my DS order so no complaints. Other than...I can't believe how much I just spent on leg ) -

I'm on Eastern Time and they aren't showing up as able to be put in my cart. The address I'm shipping to is in California, but I'd think the site would base it off where my computer is not where I'm shipping to. @Artanis - as a VIP member in the US it was giving me double points for the Death Star, even though it's only September 30th here. Not sure how that works for triple points and Europe though. -

Rogue One sets are showing up as "coming soon" if you search for them individually. I can add them to the wish list but not the cart. -

If you don't care about points, Amazon has all the Rogue One Sets available (some Hasbro stuff too if you're interested), and with Amazon Prime (free 2 day shipping in the U.S.) it's showing me a ship date of Saturday. I'm still waiting on Lego Shop@Home to even display the RO sets though :( -

Having the same issue as everyone else...still a screen that says my order is processing after and error. Then when I checked order status it says "in process" (thanks, BrickHat). I'm using a credit card and not PayPal, so no e-mail notification though. That's for the Death Star though. Has anyone been able to order Rogue One sets? I saw the hovertank briefly but now it's showing the old sets again:( -
So, I'm the guy who spoke to a Lego employee at San Diego Comic-Con and was told the Disappointment Star a) the set would be an "enclosed" and b) that it would be $400. First, I want to apologize if I got anybody's hopes up or misled you in any way. I didn't want a "scoop", I was genuinely excited and believed the Lego employee I spoke to was someone who had seen the set and had no reason to lie to me. I'm not saying they were lying, conventions are hectic places where miscommunication can easily occur. I do think it's emblematic of what I'd call TLG's poor communication this year. It seem they ask a lot of us - not just issuing takedowns of images but (some of which they have the legal right to do, others of which they don't), but in the case of TFA last year, asking that we not even discuss sets that we'd seen. I've never been clear on what exactly Eurobricks or any other site gets in return for being close to Lego, but it's not my place to question that. I'm happy there's a forum where I can learn about new releases, have questions answered by knowledgeable fellow AFOLs and of course seeing the creativity of the members here. Still, I think this was a case where someone from TLG could have taken advantage of the ability to speak to fans here and elsewhere and very easily clear this up. If they follow forums and websites as much as it's rumored they do, they had to be aware of the growing excitement for a "bigger and better" Death Star. It would have been very easy to manage everyone's expectations by being honest. They could have done this officially or communicating it "off the record". There was likely to always be disappointment, but I think it would have been far less if we knew now months ago before excitement reached a fever pitch. I could see staying silent if the older Death Star were still on sale, as that would depress sales. Or, if the DS were in any way a spoiler for Rogue One. Clearly, foreign knockoffs wouldn't be a problem as whoever does those things already has access to the (same) old Death Star. I don't blame the designers. I don't have any secret knowledge of the inner workings of Lego, but I doubt they were asked to do a redesign and mailed this in instead. Still, it's not been a great year for Lego, from Kylo Ren's shuttle's wings not folding out, to a tiny Carbon Freezing chamber offering a single new minifig (Ugnaught by no Lando?) to The Assault/Insult on Hoth being a collection of smaller sets with a misleading name. It's hard to know where to assign blame - the shuttle was based on concept art, I don't know if the designers had a in naming their own products. But I think taken together it's been a disappointing year for SW Lego fans. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for those who missed their shot at getting the Death Star and now will be able to get one, even if it's more expensive. I very much understand the frustrations of those whose hopes were dashed, and again apologize for any part I played in that. Personally, I'm disappointed and find myself in a bit of a conundrum. I bought a Death Star right before they retired it. I haven't had a chance to build as I was in an accident and broke my right arm and tore the cartilage and left wrist. When I heard about the new Death Star, I made the decision not to open or build it on the hopes (and multiple rumors) that the new one would be bigger and better. I bought Lego sets only directly from Lego during double VIP months so I could build up my discount. (Which makes a difference as Amazon often has discounts that make buying a set from them cheaper than Lego, and as a Prime member I get free two day shipping). I thought I would sell my old DS to cover the difference between my VP $ (around $100) and the price of the new Death Star. I wasn't hoarding or speculating or even looking to make a profit on the old Death Star, I just hoped to break even on it. There's always collectors that prefer old sets to the updates, so I thought there'd be some market. With the price of shipping, and now the suppressed demand because the new DS is so similar...it looks like I'd probably take a loss selling it. I could of course just build the old Death Star, but I don't like the idea of an outdated set, even if it's just the minifigures. I know there are worse problems to have in life than this, but it's definitely a Disappointment (Star:). I don't pretend to know how valuable AFOLs are to TLG, but I do hope they listen and learn something from this.

Re: Death Star having no outer shell - at SDCC a Lego employee told me it would have an exterior. It's possible she was misinformed or that there was a miscommunication. As it was pretty chaotic in the show floor. But as it seems to comport with at least one other person's info I'm not giving up hope yet. Also, can someone tell me where/when Krennic's shuttle is in the trailer? I've watched it multiple times but haven't spotted it.
