LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
Mr bricking it replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Again, I am incredibly jealous of you all, I have only found places unwilling to put them out until the release date and the ones that do get out early get snatched up incredibly fast. Like, has anybody else had their areas sell out almost instantly? I know these are popular but I swear these are selling MUCH faster than previous series.- 1,421 replies

Have had nothing but bad luck in my neck of the woods, I've visited three Targets and four WalMarts but all of them REFUSE to put them out before the release date. But what really made me angry is After I checked brick seek, one of my local WalMarts that told me they wouldn't sell any before May 1st, apparently only has 2 left in stock, after a quick visit sure enough they had and almost empty box on the shelf (the two they had left were strongmen which don't appeal to me at all). It just really ticks me off that they refused to sell any to me yet somehow other people got their hands on them.- 1,421 replies

I checked brick seek again and apparently the Walmart within a mile from my house has them in stock, hopefully this information is correct because I've never gotten my hands on a series this early.- 1,421 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion

I checked Brickseek and to my surprise there are two walmarts about thirty miles away that supposedly have them in stock. I don't know if I'm willing to drive thirty miles but like I've said earlier, it's a minor miracle to find minifigures in my area because they usually start appearing late or in very small quantities. I do have today off of work so I'm thinking of taking a road trip. Also, if anyone finds the item# for Target, please let me know!- 1,421 replies

He even appears to have arm printing, if you look closely at the elbows it looks like there's a pattern on either side.- 1,421 replies

Honestly, I really like the highwayman. I like is dark color palette and twin gunmetal gray pistols, he's really a godsend for steampunk theme builders like myself. although I do agree that Lego could have chosen one of the more impressive figures in this series to be the mystery figure, could you imagine if they had chosen the dance instructor? Everybody would think the crazy hairpiece was some king of alien attached to her head.- 1,421 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18 Rumors and Discussion

The way I'm imagining a three-tier cake minifigure is for it to have a specialized mold for the lower body that replaces the legs (similar to the S15 Queen) and then a single mold of the top two tiers that fits over the head and torso. -

I'm honestly surprised that there hasn't been an official reveal yet. Heck, usually around this time before the release boxes start appearing in stores. (I got a complete S14 two months before the official release)- 1,421 replies

Forgive me if I'm "late to the party" but what are the other two series in 2018 besides S18? I was under the impression that there would only be normal series next year. -

I just hope that the release for this series isn't handled as badly as the release for series 16. Granted, the re-release of the Disney series sorta got in the way and messed it up, but searching for series 16 was one of the most stressful ordeals I've ever been through. It took me two months and trips to several different stores to get a full series, most of the places I went to were sold out or mostly picked through by the time I got to them.- 1,421 replies

My personal favorite so far is the Rocket Boy, when I first of of a "Rocket Suit Guy" I was imagining more of a Fourth of July bottle rocket style of costume, but I think he's perfect the way he is. As for the series as a whole, I do have to say I'm a little disappointed, especially after the incredible S16 which is one of the best series in my opinion. I agree that many of them seem too "plain" for collectible minifigure, most of the appeal for this series comes from the accessories which is what I'll be harvesting many of them for.- 1,421 replies

I highly doubt the Highwayman will be a limited edition figure like Mr. Gold, it's most likely that Lego is starting a new trend in minifigure series by having a "mystery" figure, represented only by a silhouette, present in each series from now on. There are plenty of other blind-bag brands that have certain mystery figures in them that you have to collect to know what they look like. That, or maybe maybe it is just a silhouette minifigure, molded completely in black with a "?" printed on the torso to confuse speculating Lego fans. :p- 1,421 replies

Considering how the figure has the specific hint of NOT being a pirate probably implies that it could be the OPPOSITE of a pirate, What was the opposition of pirates? The naval armies of the time period, which makes me think the figure could be an "Imperial Captain" or something similar that could contrast against past pirate minifigures.- 1,421 replies

Are there going to be any Sci-Fi themed characters in this series? Those are the figures I look forward to the most.- 1,421 replies

I have to say I'm personally a little disappointed in the Corn Cob Guy, I think his mould is nicely done, I'm just not a fan of the colors. I think if they had gone for more muted tones he would have been better in my opinion. (Also not really a fan of the short-sleeve shirt)- 1,421 replies

Hello, I've been doing some surfing across different forum sites and other such social media, and I found someone who claims that three more figures In this series are a matador, TV remote suit guy, and one man band guy. Please don't quote me on this as I do not know its legitimacy I just read it somewhere and thought it was worth mentioning.- 1,421 replies

Collectible Minifigures Series so far

I know a lot of people didn't like it, but my personal favorite series is S14 because of my love for Halloween and monsters. -
UPDATE: Starting to get a little annoyed, I've checked every place I can think of in my area that would sell these but nothing. I'm just a little worried because these are selling out extremely fast, I hope I can get the ones I want before they disappear for good. That happened to me with S15, I called a nearby store who told me they had a full box but by the time I got to there the box was completely empty; Apparently someone had gotten there before me and bought every single one.
