Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Ultron replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Now that we got a closeup of the hydra henchmen...does it seem to anyone else that Hydra maybe took more than Loki's staff from the battle of New York? It looks like they have some chitauri armor on them! -

Yeah I don't think it's that bad of a set. Personally I wish they had gone with a $120 Avengers Tower set so we could've gotten more details. But at least this set comes with a lot of blue window pieces so if you don't like it you can build your own. -
Future Marvel Superheroes Rumors & Speculation
Ultron replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
It shouldn't be that complicated. Marvel controls merchandising for all Marvel properties regardless of which company owns them. They can green light spider-man movie sets now because of the partnership. Marvel Studios will want to promote the Spider-man movies because they will be a part of the MCU so they make ask Lego to do some sets. -

I seriously can't get over how great Ultron Mk 1 looks. Love it so much. Bucky's torso looks pretty good too btw. Nice back printing. -

That really doesn't make sense. 4 figs + shipping is going to be around the same price of the actual set but instead you get bricks you can use as spare parts if you buy the set. No, it said in the entertainment magazine that Ultron is the leader of iron legion (before he becomes sentient and evil) -

I can't wait to army build with the Iron Man vs Ultron sets. Although I wish the drones had red eyes rather than blue but it's cool we're even getting Ultron at all. -
Suggestion: Pin the Scooby-Doo theme.

It's weird that Hawkeye doesn't even have a printed quiver this time...so what, is he just supposed to fire one arrow and then give up? -
Licensed Sets LEGO Missed the Ball On/Never Made
Ultron replied to adotnamedstud's topic in LEGO Licensed
Not making Legend of Zelda sets was a huge missed opportunity. Seriously though, 3 LoZ sets have passed on Lego ideas which is probably more than any ideas for current licensed themes. Lego seriously needs to fight harder for a Nintendo line. I guess Kre-o or whatever owns Mario Kart but that's just one property from Nintendo. -
But everything from presumably Civil War out, as in the Spider-man movies that Sony makes, will be part of the MCU. So the part with Sony having creative control is unfortunate but doesn't take away from the fact that spider-man is now in the MCU.

I agree, but I'm just saying, if it had been classic Rhino in ASM2, I highly doubt we'd be seeing a mech. -

Maybe for this year, but we can't rule out getting more AA sets next year as long as the show continues. -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

Yay! I hope the minifigs are good. I'm particularly worried about Carnage. It seems he's based on USM which isn't terribly different from the classic but I liked how he looked in the video game. -

No there are two, the carnage SHIELD one, and the Sandman/Rhino one. But I think the USM sub-theme will end this year and be replaced by either Avengers Assemble or a classic Spider-man line considering USM is being cancelled this year -

Nope, although googling it I do see some similarities. Obviously it's based on the Ultimate comics version of Rhino which is more robotic than the classic version although still not as blocky and chunky as the mech from ASM 2 -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Ultron replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Highly debatable. Rhino has never appeared in a suit like that before ASM. It's based off of his appearance there unless they radically change it from the prelims we saw. Hell, there's even a bald guy that goes inside the suit we're getting. To be completely fair, I was just informing everyone because most people don't frequent the C&M forum and I did say discussion should continue over there. Even if I hadn't posted about it though, someone else would have and someone else did. -
6? Which are you counting? I only count 2; the ones by Sony. Batman has had a crap ton of reboots though so this really doesn't phase me. Fair enough.

It also makes me wonder why we're getting the mech rhino since now that this deal is in place, the ASM movies will not be considered canon with the MCU. I'm assuming Lego didn't know anything about the deal though. But I'm sure they might know now, which is why I don't think we'll be getting something like an ASM Green Goblin because they just dug the grave for that franchise. -
It's okay, it's a good thing they're rebooting it. Now we can forget the terrible rhino mech But Peter Parker really hasn't been done justice yet. Miles would be an interesting and fresh way to go, but at the same time, I don't want them to. I want Peter done right first. It seems they're going to skip the origin story this time around though, which is a good thing.

Well, hate to tell you but a vast majority of comic book fans do not want to see a younger version of the F4 in a movie. You may for some reason want to support this movie that was literally a slap in the face to fans, but I sure won't.
-
Why are you all even arguing whether the ASM movies would fit into the MCU? It doesn't matter because Marvel doesn't want them to so therefore they don't.
-
Because the F4 are traditionally seen as an older superhero team so that's how they should be portrayed. And I don't really care if they do reshoots for fans or not, I'm still not going to see this carelessly thrown together pile of crap that was only done so Fox could keep the rights from reverting back to Marvel.

I get that, but it seemed more like he didn't like that spidey is joining the MCU, which is blasphemous. -
Marvel posted it themselves on their Facebook page...it's official. The F4 should not be young and doom is a computer hacker. Enough said.
-
God NO. I want the F4 in the MCU but not the abomination that this new movie will be.
