Love those new character designs. That Squirrel Girl hair mold looks like it'd look great on a real fig. I heard she's in USM so maybe?

Well they'd have to make a new mold. I think it's more likely to just get some sort of variant.

So although this pertains more directly to the video game's thread, it is interesting to note that the release date for Lego Marvel Avengers is officially Jan 26. So maybe speculation about some of those sets (specifically that Avengers labeled one..) that do tie into the game is right.

There's got to be some reason there's yet another escape pod released so soon though (unless C-3PO & R2 aren't in the force awakens sets...?) so I feel like they'll want to spruce it up somehow. I kinda doubt it too, but I'd expect at least a Tusken instead of more sand troopers.

I'm just thinking it would be a nice model to go with Wall-e. On its own, probably not so much

Yes it can. This set is so perfect. My only real nitpick is the plant. It's not that great looking. I wonder if they'd consider doing an Eve set?

Even though I'm pretty sure this talk technically belongs in the 2015 thread... It seems to me it's a bit ridiculous that they're getting rid of all the past sets just to make room for Episode 7 stuff. There aren't even that many new sets to begin with. Are they gonna be discounting the old ones?

I kinda doubt that. They've gotten rid of class based systems in the new "battlefront" which I'm pretty means you basically play as a generic stormtrooper/rebel unless you become a Jedi/sith

Now that I think about it, that "Cap Movie set" *may* not even be a civil war set. This seems to be rumors for the Winter Wave since the BvS are there and Civil War sets won't be released till March anyway. It could be a winter soldier set or maybe Cap:TFA? It may be unlikely, but who knows? I'll take that too honestly. I just want more comic X-men. I need Jean Grey at the least..

Thoughts on the sets: -Captain America Movie: hopefully if this is the only Civil War set (which I don't think it will be) we get Bleeding Edge Iron Man, Cap (which will look exactly the same as AoU pretty much..), MCU Falcon, Crossbones, Baron Zemo, Updated Ant Man (his costume is changing), Updated Black Widow (her hair is different again!), Updated Scarlet Witch with RED POWERS, Red Hulk (If he's in the movie), Updated War Machine with the darker armor, and I'll also take any other figs like Hawkeye and Vision (who also are hopefully updated a bit) -Lego Marvel Avenger: Could this be a set based on the video game just like DC kinda had? Maybe this will be a winter wave set in January since the game is coming out in Dec. It'd be cool if we could get a couple more game based sets that can give us some Avengers from the comics. -Lego Superheroes LPP 1&2 (Licensed Product Package or something?): I assume these would be Spider-man sets or maybe even a cartoon GotG set. I'd cross my finger for X-men but I won't hold my breath. Hopefully we can at least get some classic spidey villains. -Juniors Iron Man vs Loki: This would be the place to give us Loki with a more accurate face and maybe even a new torso. A new Iron Man variant is always welcome too. I'll even take the triangle reactor since I missed out on that one. On a side note, anyone think it's possible that the exclusive superhero promotion fig for next year could be Wasp? They'd have to make a new mold for a helmet but I'd welcome her with open arms. I'm secretly hoping the D2C is an X-Mansion set that everybody and their grandmother wants...please, Disney?

The Planet Monster could be so much cooler if he had teeth in the mold. It looks absolutely terrible without them and even more so with that awful minifig head stuck in there. The torso print isn't impressive to me either and the vine accessories do nothing to make up for the rest. Does anyone know what the back of the headpiece part looks like?

Honestly, I really like the build and I want an updated Darth Maul but his face just sucks. The minifigs also could've been selected better. No exclusives or anything?? The worst part however is the price. WAY too much.
