Ultron replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
There always is. But I try not to get my hopes up for stuff when it comes to Lego. I'm usually disappointed- 4,155 replies

Honestly, that's Lego's fault. They should've put more new characters into the second series instead of variants- 4,155 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
Ultron replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
If they're not going to the "trouble" of including regular legs, I doubt the mini ones will be dual molded -
I think not including a slingshot in these sets to launch the birds would be a failure on Legos part. Not sure how "launching" will play out in the movie, but brand recognition is a big factor for this and when people think Angry Birds, they think slingshot + birds + pigs. They probably won't care if the sets are related to the movie or not. We'll have to see how they turn out though. Who knows, they might be well designed and successful even if you can't launch them.

Interesting, as the witch is the only one I own! -

I figure they'll just reuse the jack o' lantern heads from Hagrid's Hut a few years ago as the pumpkin bombs. That's what I'll do if they don't turn out good. -

The mini legs are basically a deal breaker for me. Very displeased. -

I actually don't think they'd give him a molded head. He'd look like a Simpson Perhaps just a new turban mold that includes the drape over the back of his head. On second thought, he'd make an awesome fig. I want him!- 4,155 replies

Well AA is partly based on the MCU so thanos has the same color scheme as he does in the movies, but we already know they don't 100% use the TV designs for the sets..good thing too because some of them are hideous -

I would much rather have comic based. We'll be getting the movie one in a few years. -
Really? Do you know this for sure?

If Echo Base really is releasing in a few weeks, Lego has done a very good job of keeping it secret. The only thing I don't understand is why, exactly?

Not really. I think the theme is pretty much done, at least with the CMF's. I could see them doing one more D2C and that's it.- 4,155 replies

Hopefully we see the movie design soon so we can get an idea as to what we'll be getting. I do hope he's not too far from his comic appearance. -

I guess it could always be a $13 set with just the two minifigs but that'd be a disappointment -

I wouldn't rule out Rachel McAdam's character. If she's Clea she is a fellow magic user and likely has a bigger role than Mads. -

Not what I meant. I was referring to merchandise releasing well before the movie actually comes out. -
If we're not gonna get a second wave it'd be nice if Lego at least did a D2C that included fan favorites that were left out and also a videogame. So much potential for this license but I guess we may not know for sure until rumors of the summer wave flood in

We could just see it pop up in September. It'd be a strange release time, but they usually only allow merchandising to release 2 months prior. Unless we have a situation similar to Star Wars -

I don't see how having short legs would provide anything for the sets. There'd be no point to them other than to piss people off. I'm not believing that till I see set pics. -

I don't recall him ever saying that. If Ultron is comic based, he would likely require a new mold. Or his face could just be printed but it may look bad. -
And Marvel has still yet to get one...

Sadly, I'm pretty sure its AoU Ultron..maybe we'll get a comic version one day -
Yeah I just put them in his hands and then move his arms so that the pieces are facing behind him. The effect isn't bad, but it's not as good as a brick built one.
