Okay Lego has "Trophy" piece now instead of TrLtBlue or TrBlue of that they print on a 1x1 Cylinder? Seriously for $100+ dollars I would rather have a transparent blue trophy than a halfway done printed piece... Other than that fantastic!!!! The geonoshian fighter seems like something I want to get 3 or 4 of just do not know what to do with so many Cody and Ki-Adadi's Looks like the support for the pod racers will be clear after all! Yeah!!!! New TrRed 1x1 tile on Sith Speeder... Good view of the Dug mold - just like I thought articulated arms...(or are they feet?) Pitty there is no pics of Echo Base, or the N-1 or the Advent All good things come to those who wait Something I seem to be good @ Needless to say Today we are likely to see alot more Glad the advent has so many pilots that way the can fly the ships that don't have them

It took me a long time to design a Lego life-size rose, and then one day I just made one in no time flat. I have to update my brickshelf with my new minifig scale bouque and single rose (yeah you should try and make a realistic Lego rose with just two pieces) Credit were credit is due - the two piece heart design is not my own and has been floating around for quite sometime, ditto with the parrot...and baby dragon all others are my design... The rest can be found here http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=269456 May your loved ones never know the cruelty of an evil insane former americian "president"... Ilegally invading countries for personal profit next thing you know you will hear that same idiots voice appear out of the "impossible" and say that himself...along with a bunch of other things self incriminating... Sorry had a fight I won, it cost me, but him oh so much more forever and a day... :-p I only pick fights were you loose more than me...

SW Advent Series Information - I wanted to create a series of MOCs that fill the $40 dollar price range but also include standard Lego parts and techniques Lego uses. This basically means that I can not include any SNOT technique that Lego has not already used. I did not use any clip to the slide of a plate SNOT technique for example. Additionally I wanted to use roughly the same pieces Lego would use for a $40 set. Layout - For a standard layout I choose to go with 8 mini-figures each with an appropriate accessory and a mini-vehicle. I wanted to choose a balanced approach so that the bad guys and good guys had a fairly even arrangement. Lego focuses on play value and accuracy. With this in mind each of the sets had to be based on real scenarios and parts of the specific theme. For my first series I choose The Clone Wars series. Selection Class Character Accessory Vehicle - Jedi Roron Corrob Hologram and Holocron AAT - Separatist Mar Tuuk Command Chair Ahsoka’s Starfighter - Astromech R3-S6 Communications Console Anakin’s Starfighter - Protocol Droid 4-A7 Smuggled Cargo Twilight - Trooper Clone Trooper ARC Gear + Stand TX-130 Saber Tank - Trooper Battle Droid Gun Embankment Vulture Droid - Civilian Pepi Bow Swamp Scene Seperatist Shuttle - Bounty Hunter Assassin Droid (Grey) Mini-Kit Canister Magnaguard Starfighter Balance 3 good guys, 4 bad guys, and a Traitor 4 good guys, 4 bad guys Total Piece Count 319 (w/o Extras included) Some of the Episodes you can use - Battle of Corresaunt, Ryloth Blockade, Vultures Claw, Teth Monistary Landing, Space Battle above Tatooine, The Blue Shadow Virus, and countless other scerios. Easter Eggs – 2 of the spare pieces form a micro R2 that can pilot Anakin’s Starfighter, Roron Corrob from CW Animated, TX-130 Saber Tank from VGs, LSWVG Minikit ;-) simple and fits nicely in an Advent Set...Also each droid comes with a Panel that can swap out on the communications console...like LSWVG. Pictures will be posted as soon as I can buy a new digital camera, some guy paparazzi it… seriously don’t worry he got tooled much worse… catching somebody on camera is fun especially when they are in a “bubble”… opps ident busted… :-( I will do the piece out style photo instructions for them as well. O:-) Comments please leave them @ my spam email account miles.flinn.2056@gmail.com With subject line Brickshelf without that subject I will just not read it. Yours truly, Robert Blake. Here is some more SW Mini Vehicles http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=428904

Love both the new polybags - especially the satalite, the torso on the girl for the jet ski is cool to! Glad they added a the jetski I hope they are target sets I just wish there was a comprehensive list of where exclusives could be found...

Duplicate Post - odd no delete button - hmmm

Well no offense but there are very few ppl who could do what I did and feel lucky you do not know what I know, and hopefully given that everything goes right you never will... Of course then again I hear Jebidiot Bush is wanting to run so if you want to know everything I am sure that "the powers that be" will stop at nothing from preventing that family from blowing up the world or "worse" ... Back on topic - I am bummed they can not make Force Ghost - I guess the spooks got scared away afraid they would have there shroud lifted... Oh no it is Anakin Skywalker under that vader Mask this whole time I thought it was Dick Cheney - lol So no ghost for star wars I was hoping for Uganaunts in the advent calendar. Or maybe a consistent theme - either PT or CW or OT not a mask up of all three... The Commander Wolfe Looks Beautiful I hope they do the eye for him (even though he was in different color armor at the time) I was hoping for a Cantina Themed Advent with band Luke, Chewie, Han, Obi Won, Storm Trooper, Guy who Looses Hand, Bartender... I like the Microsets for the most part... Most of my collection is in storage which means I have only Midi, Mini, Keychain (w/o keychain) and Two boxes 1/3 of the way toward "extra" MFs It is a welcome thing for me, if I lost the stuff in storage (long story) then at least I have 1 MF scale one... The new hair looks nice, what is different about leia's hair? Well 18 hours or so we will know what is there... I am going to watch SNL and then go to bed...

My spelling is crappy and I am dsylexic you should be thankful I used those skills when I was in the service with great skill - nothing like using something viewed as a weakness as a strength instead... O:-)

Well you just shot all the fish in my barrel... Hmmm they did transparent Skeleton horses... Hmmm arms and legs would be only problem then? Maybe a different manufacturing process like the "non glue" they use to make magnets stick together... Hmmm... They could always use a microfig... Or static arms and legs... Not like they need them anyways right? So you are saying there are no ghost figures left - besides the shroud one? That stinks and brickbuilt minifigures aren't cool... The only pieces I ever had that were brittle were animal teeth glow in the dark ones...

When I worked in South Korea I was lucky enough to stumble onto coverage of SW Lego over at toy news international - of course then I found fbtb.net when I got back to the states http://toynewsi.com/ They occasionally have Lego news mixed in - (notice all the coverage already - Hasbro Panel, etal) Edit - PoC Lego just added - text and Stock images (without MTV News Plastered on it) Maybe SW next... Here's to hoping next years Lego Star Wars Advent is themed toward "A Christmas Carol" - with the emperor as Ebonysneezer Scrouge, the 3 Ghost - anakin, obi-won, and Yoda, with Luke as the main character - who would play tiny tim? My "auto correct" changed ebon izer to that so I kept it... Anyways - I hope we get to see more of the advent and the unannounced stuff like the new peir set - with the funky yellow crane... You know 4645 - with the big green boat O:-) I wonder what surprises are in store for Echo Base I hope it is an Ion Cannon and Shield Generator... Crossing fingers Does anybody have the pictures of the Reek & Acklay from SW weekends awhile back - I ldraw them but seem to have miss place the actual pictures - maybe Lego will finally release that one along with ... 1886 Lego Star Wars Bucket ---but that is only dreaming...

My iMac is part of the limited number of macs that actually got recalled - from serial # xxxx1 to xxxx5 serious a strategic spot on the motherboard had a single capacitor go bad and damage a vast part of it... It has nothing to do with my previous job of computer security for the US Government or my knowledge of what happened on Oct 16, 2004 Ever watch the movie "the Rock" leverage like that audio tape Sean Connery's character had is a good thing to have... O:-) I thought about using a Lego minifigure trashcan to replace it since they look similar (to those who are not accuracy paranoid) When does NY Toyfare Start? If you look at the photo from austrilla or Germany Toyfare it gives an undercarriage view of the sit infiltrator if you look carefully...the picture is the one with the iPad blocking the view with the Halo in front of it I think the support structure for the pod racers should be clear - I know that clear pieces are harder for Lego to produce - eg Lego Skeleton Horses given as exclusive employee only events (that is a super rare item btw) Edit so nobody else has to look it up - Scimitar = Sith Infiltrator

I agree with who ever said we need a new yoda hut We have had only one LSW Bucket set - way back in 1999 I have it, it was the hardest set for me to find I passed it up back then, got it for $10 at my old work Only missed 1 common piece With that being said I would like to see a new bucket of Dagobah I am hoping that the advent has some dagobah stuff in it... Maybe a Christmas swamp tree With a snake sticking out of it... Rocks to levitate Part of Yodas hutt Stew maybe a bed Okay analyasis wise Usually TLG usually includes matching days groups of 2 or 3 or ocassionally 4 days 1 Clone Pilot + RGS 2 Droid Pilot (no matching minivehicle) 3 Nute Gunray (no matching minivehicle) 4 Rebel Pilot (If Included) + A-Wing 5 Yoda + X-Wing 6 Unknown + Slave-1 7 Chewbacca + Millinium Falcon 8 Unknown + Imperial Shuttle 9 Unknown + TIE Fighter So given that what accessories should be included? Any Ideas? Personally I think the tie fighter parts would make it easy to make a fleet I did that with the old ones I will post pics of my reverse engineered mini's sometime next week - iPod can't upload to brickshelf...

I like the simple design, I agree that the shape isn't right, but still it is only prelimary pictures, I am assuming alot closer to finish will be shown this weekend... The advent I designed had 333 total pieces 350 if you include spares.... Each piece in each color has a value. personally I agree that it could be better, but I am sure the kids won't mind to much...the same basic bow tie shape is there and the ones the set is focused toward will like it... If it was geared toward AFOL I would say they would have included 8 MF - 1 jedi, 1 sith, 1 bad guy trooper, 1 good guy trooper, 1 protocol droid, 1 Astromech, 1 bounty hunter, and 1 civilian It would have cost a little more but would have included characters that aren't assocaited with major vehicles Roron Corrob for example - what ship is he best suited for?
-
Like this one? I did that one myself... The problem comes when you start to realize just how many pieces are used. The model I made has 4 plates to make the shape, 4 to hold those together 2 dots for extensions, 2 dots for canopy, and one brick for center If you look at the cost analysis of the pieces you realize that the center piece is .39 just for it. The price adds up quickly You also have to factor in the cost of the license and get Approval from GL and the SW team. I am so crossing my fingers for the MechanoChair...

This is only a preliminary image - it is missing 12 days of advent doors Currently with 13 subsets known (Supposing the Rebel Pilot is included) Then the total is no less than 125 pcs so far. See my previous post. Just like the previous advent sets, the cover does not show all the included doors. It would have been funny to have the ships in place of reighn deer with Yoda on a sleigh being pulled by them. :-D Seriously though try building your own advent style set using lego's rules. It is harder than it looks.
-
I have counted 125 parts for the 13 known doors Falcon might be more than 9 pcs though I already built the Shuttle, A-Wing, and started the slave-1 glad we got a side view it changed how I thought the parts went... Personally I like the 8-8-8 advent calendars 8 Minifigures, 8 Accessories, 8 minivehicles This one appears to be a 7,7,7 3 left overs It is hard to build an advent set with so few pieces I was hoping Lego would have been creative with minifigures selection Over at my brickshelf - user muddy I tried to make a Clone Wars Advent I ended up with 333 pieces but more expensive ones than in this set The internal requirements to make a model are - must use parts currently available - must have play value (few exceptions - sculptures/architecture) - must be sturdy for self support (not issue for advent) - must be able to be seen (why bldgs do not have backs sometimes, why all empty space is used/accessible - ventator star destroyer great example) - must with stand heat test...(simulates light damages) - official snot techniques only - no clips at weird spots) - must be in cost window (each piece in each color has a value) (factor in license cost) Blah blah blah My point is I see alot of ppl who are "Meh" about the set I am surprised there has not been a contest to make your own official advent calendar - or day Based on official Lego concepts Personally I like all I have seen so far I am curious what the other 11 sets are going to be (assuming accessories) Edit - anybody else what Nute Gunray's Mechano Chair?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Muddy replied to eiker86's topic in Special LEGO Themes
First we had monkey suit now we have a lizard suit - all we need is a wolf costume and we can have a real Rampage MOC from the NES Okay animals have exploded - they added ostrich, camel, (gorilla), goats, chickens, pigs, now a new monkey Anybody else hope that Lego makes a Lego city zoo? It would be easy to add a zebra, elephants have been around for awhile, just need giraffe, lions, and maybe hippos... They could have a insect section, amazon, swamp, and an aquarium... -
I like the new marinia I just wish they would have included the baywatch style thinger It does look a bit generic maybe a cool jetski would have made it worth it... I am a fan of impulse sets that are irresistible - like...this one ht
