  1. Well, I don't remember seeing the Executer back in 1980. What I do recall is that Vader was on a Star Destroyer (the Devastator from 'Hope'), and that that's where he addressed the Bounty Hunters. Still, my memory is probably falling apart as I type BOT: Looking at the amount of greebling (and assuming that this beast is built in a similar way to the Midi-scale Star Destroyer) then interior detailing for the minifigures isn't going to happen. Now, we just need some shots of the underside and of the engines, if the LEGO group would kindly oblige?
  2. Originally the Executer was only ever seen in 'ROTJ' back in the day when there were only 3 films (loved the scene where it ploughs into the you-know-what). In 'Empire' Vader just had a Star Destroyer, but when Lucas started making the prequel trilogy he re-edited the original trilogy, replacing Vader's Star Destroyer in the asteroid field with the Executer. I'm surprised LEGO haven't asked you guys to remove all info. about this set
  3. What the fudge! This UCS is awesome, fulfilling the past 9 years of thinking "This year it'll be different. This year they'll gives us the Executor." Going to have a massive nerdgasam now
  4. At the end of the day people will cherry-pick the box(es) that they come across for the figures that they want multiples of. It doesn't always mean that the ones you want will be picked clean - I loved the Crash Test Dummy from S1, and have a fair few of him. On the score of Spartans and Elves, I'll admit that I've got quite a few Spartans (33) and Elves (21), but I have never taken more than 1 of these per box that I've found. As you can tell, I live in a well-stocked region for minifigures (8 WHSmiths, 6 Argos stores, 3 TRU stores, 3 Tescoes, and about 9 independent toy sellers all packing minifigs.). Bottom-line: everything in moderation
  5. Just back from my local Tescoes Extra with 2 7749 Echo Base sets; £9-00 each EDIT: Ok, now I know that I'm addicted. After reading buddy's post (cheers, by the way ) I looked-up a review of the Pig Farm and got one. I'm a Star Wars man - can there truly be pigs in a galaxy far, far away?
  6. is breathing heavily on the Death Star

  7. Series 4 is (imo) the best so far This is the only series where I'm actually going to buy a sealed box of 60 - but we need the box distribution! How many Frankenstein's Creatures are there? Have LEGO put 2 or 3 full sets in each case of 60? Will there be 3 Musketeers per case ? Hopefully we'll know soon ...
  8. Definitely recommend it Big Pete. Didn't have long to look at the other Lego (3 yr. old + shopping + lunchtime + fire alarm going off and store getting evacuated for 15 mins. = argghhhhhh), but there were a few of these left. Not sure about other sets, but I'm kicking myself for not taking another look around. EDIT: Think the BPs (new ones) were either £7.97 or £8.97 - can't be sure though.
  9. Receipt plus one of the sets - the other one is listed on the receipt at £8.00 per set. You'll find that the barcodes match: 570201473428 on the receipt and on the set barcode. Check-out my flickr: My Flickr And if you're still not convinced then please, feel free to call the store. The number is on the receipt (top of the photos). Proof - it did happen
  10. New to the forum, but not to the wonders of Lego Anyway, Asda have an 'up-to 90% off' toy sale on at the moment. I picked up 2 of the Star Wars Battle of Naboo (7929) sets reduced from £24.97 to £8.00 each from Asda Cribbs Causeway, Bristol. Couldn't pass at that price.
