  1. Thanks for the info, lisqr. $10 USD is a pretty good price for the blacksmith set, but $70 USD for the Mill Village Raid? $50 or $60 I could understand, but $70?
  2. Great MOC, shutinc! I really like your use of Collectible Minifigures as the wax statues.
  3. So, can we expect to see you at Mafia School?

  4. Wow, Jebediahs, your artwork is . If it isn't too much trouble, could you make a paper doll of my sigfig? Here he is: Thank you!
  5. I know, and they did pretty well with the calendar. I just don't think that their "target audience" is very interested in mini models.
  6. The Advent Calendar is okay, considering that it's full of mini models. (Although I am pretty happy about the short red legs and new "Santa" torso that Yoda has ) It's definitely a pass for me though; $40 USD is way too much to pay for 5 minifigures and 7 mini models. I'm pretty sure that the Kingdoms Calendar 8 minifigures and and a bunch of useful accessories such as a cauldron or a blacksmith anvil, why couldn't the Star Wars one be a little more like that? They could have 7 or 8 minifigures, 2 or 3 mini models, and a few useful accessories like a gun-rack or one of those lightsaber training balls and a few lightsabers.
  7. Thanks for the pics, Kris Kelvin! The Ewok Attack set looks better than I thought it would, and Logray looks fantastic! I must say though, I'm none too happy with this year's Falcon. The flick-fire missles and overall clunkyness of the ship make it very undesirable. I like the Republic Frigate, but it really doesn't look like they've changed anything since the last one; and it's not worth it for the minifigures alone. Probably the best set this year is the Pod Racers. I really like their new design and the minifigure selection.
  8. I'm certainly excited about it! I've read a good deal of the mafiascum wiki, but never actually participated in a game like this before. You can definately expect to see me in the sign ups!
  9. I think that the blue bags are preliminary. Since this series isn't coming out until (late?) summer, choosing an "official" bag color isn't as pertinent to series 5 as it would be to series 4. That being said, they're probably going to change the bag color for series 5 at some point. Although I don't think they're going to be able to come up with a color that would top series 4's orange bags.
  10. Hinckley is being rather entertaining this game! By the way, how did he know that you're left-handed?
  11. Ha ha ha... that's an awesome play feature! I really like the looks of the Fire Temple; not only the play feature, but the initial design too. It seems to use those windows from the Spinjitsu Dojo as well as some new windows with dragon patterns on them. (I think they're stickers...) Having missed out on the original ninja line, this set is a definite must-buy for me.
  12. Thanks for the video, JuniperX! Here are my thoughts on the new figures: Dancer/Performer: She looks like a poor rip-off of the Pop Star. Detective: I really like the looks of that Sherlock Holmes style hat, but I don't know how else I could use it. Lumberjack: That axe looks pretty interesting, but the rest of the figure is "meh" at best. Clown: Short green legs, a bowler hat, AND a cream pie? I'm definately getting multiples of these! Zookeeper: I like the looks of the new monkey/gorilla/chimp, I wonder if it's printed? Graduate: It's a shame that we aren't getting a powdered wig, but the new graduation cap looks wonderful! Guy in Godilla Suit: This fig looks a lot better than I thought it would, hope I can get my hands on a few of these! Cavewoman: I really like the look of her new hairpiece, it looks very Flinstones-ey! Gladiator: Definately the Spartan of Series 5. Yet another fig that I'm going to buy multiples of! Mobster: I'm rather disappointed that they didn't make a new gun for him, but the violin case is . Dwarf: Pretty nice fig, but I have no need for dwarves. British Guard: Eskimo: I love the look of the new parka, it's a lot less bulky than the previous one. Boxer: Very nice fig! I especially like the boxing gloves. So yeah, to put it simply, R.I.P. wallet.
  13. Well, that certainly makes the magnet sets a little more attractive. Although I am rather uneasy about buying them, what with the solvents LEGO is using. Does anyone have any experience with de-gluing (I'm almost certain I spelled that wrong) the magnet sets, and if so, do you know if the solvents are potentially dangerous? I'd rather like to keep poison out of my home.
  14. Wow! I wasn't expecting Day 2 to be up so quickly. This is turning out to be a great game, JimButcher!
  15. Wow! Great pics of the new DK LEGO books, legolijntje! But please don't deeplink pictures that have a confidential watermark on them!
  16. That's exactly what I was thinking. Why don't they just make a new mold for his head? It's not like anyone would want to use his ugly CW head for anything else...
  17. Yeah, I'm very suprised that they were able to snag a werewolf on the first day. At least this means that this game won't be as much of a crash and burn for the town as in the asylum.
  18. Wow! Thanks for the pics Navy Trooper Fenson! I like the look of the new Naboo Pilot, it's much better than the previous version. The Podracers set is becoming more and more attractive to me every time I see it; the new Sebulba and Watto figs are fantastic, and it's nice to see the Rodian head in another set. I'm not so sure about the Frigate though. Quinlan Vos looks really creepy in CW form, and Eeth Koth's headpiece doesn't match well with his head. The Wolfpack troopers are great, though! (I'll have to get tons of these from bricklink ) I guess I'll be saving money by not buying several Geonosian Starfighter sets. The minifigures in it are . There was a lot of potential for a good Ki-Adi-Mundi, but LEGO totally blew it. One thing I keep noticing is that the green and blue lightsabers have darkened slightly, and become more accurate. Now I can use the neon green one as yellow, and the light blue one as cyan!
  19. Wow! That's a great lineup! Thanks for the news Plissken! Hooray for an Eskimo! Never can have too many parkas! The Historic Judge figure sounds pretty interesting, too. Will we finally get a powdered wig? I don't know what they plan on doing for the mobster, though. LEGO is a toy directed almost entirely at children, so I'm not too optimistic about him. Maybe they could call him "Legitimate Businessman Figure".
  20. Sign me up, please! I have a lot of (mostly) constructed sets, and I keep all my old instruction booklets. Although my camera isn't great, it generally comes through and makes nice looking pictures most of the time.
  21. I don't think we got any pics last year, but we did get some pretty good ones in '09 Even if we do get pictures, the chances are that they will probably be very low quality or from an awkward angle. Either way, the good stuff is coming from the New York Toy Fair, so I guess we'll have to wait.
  22. That's what I was thinking, too. I think we can at least expect a new jungle theme after PQ is done. (I just hope that they don't waste their time with bringing back Dino Island...)
  23. As a Matrix fan, and a LEGO fan, I must say that this is spectacular! Very nice job, IcedCOffee! You've captured the APU perfectly!
  24. This is a dream come true... A Buckingham Palace Guard, an epic looking Gladiator, a guy in a Godzilla suit, a Boxer... The list just goes on! I know that rumors aren't to be trusted, but I hope this is true! A Master Sensei to go with my Samurai and Ninja (and hopefully Geisha soon )!
