  1. I would go for the Crane. It is almost the same price but double the pieces. And the crane is just cooler =)
  2. Hello Eurobricks! I am going to buy a new LEGO set on friday and i am not quite sure what i should get. I recently bought Grand Emporium which is GREAT. The building and interior is very detailed and really fun to build. My first though was to buy the Fire Brigade, so i had 2 modular buildings but the fire brigade doesn't seem to be very detailed. And the front seem very doll... (the only nice thing is the flag, really awesome made.) I was just browsing LEGO's website and saw the new Diagon Alley. I am a huge Harry Potter fan but i don't own any Harry Potter LEGO. Mostly because it is small sets and the old ones aren't very detailed. Diagon Alley on the other hand blew me away when i saw it. Now i am really not sure what i should buy. I am not really 'playing' with my LEGO sets. I enjoy building them, displaying them, and tearing them apart (then repeating it over and over). My other 2011 purchases include Tower Bridge (HUGE, new building methods, Tan bricks!), Fallingwater (One of the greatest buildings EVER!, Tan bricks and seem to scale with my Tower Bridge) and Grand Emporium (Very detailed, pretty big, 7 minifigs!). Hope to get some response from people who already got the sets or just have an opinion!

  6. How do you render the images? When i have done LEGO in MLCad i have used POV Ray, but the bricks get too much shine and reflection on them.
  7. I haven't been buying new LEGO for 5 years but about a year ago i started buying from Bricklink. Used about $200 on Star Wars minifigs and random bricks (to complete some models with missing bricks). Then i didn't use any money on LEGO for about 6 months. But in the month of January (this year of course) i bought the Tower Bridge, Grand Emporium, Fallingwater, some minifigures and some Toy Story with is about $900. That is just for a month, but I am sure it will be some time before i buy something new. (Minifig serie 4 or a new Modular Building) I guess about $50-$100 a month wouldn't be weird to use.
