I couldn't find anywhere over here like the Pirate forum for posting these so I hope this forum is appropriate. I have been messing around with designing custom torsos for minifigures and I thought I'd post some of my Wild West designs for some feedback. No worries. I just hate when mud gets flung around. I mean if it was a legit complaint fair enough, I hate when ppl rip each other off, but it's never fun to be called out when you really were just trying to do the best you could yah know? Especially with art you're so proud of what you've done so you post it for feedback praise and then to be called a cheat kinda sucks. Glad I could help clear the air. :-$

Not to be a dick, but I've had ppl blame me on other art forums for ripping ppls stuff off and it's not fun. So I'm going to have to point out that TD's torsos and yours other than being based off the Imperial Guard Admiral of Imperial Soldier Govenor torsos, they aren't at all alike. The lines aren't even close to matching. I took them into PS just to make sure my eye wasn't off and they aren't even close. Evidence: Not to be a dick, but dude you should really be sure before you acuse someone of stealing, that's a pretty harsh accusation, and when it comes to something as personal as art, it's probably the harshest. Looks great! Thanks man. I haven't had a chance to put it on a figure myself yet, so I'm glad you guys did! It's fun to see it actually in use :-D ... I was trying to figure out the water decal thing lol. I'm not a model guy so that's all new to me. :) And thanks BM.

Of course... I'll do that as soon as I get home. Thank buddy. *sweet* WW is definately my next stop :) Yah, I figured the head would give it more of an authentic feel and just to match Johnny Depp's smirk from the films I mirrored it and gave him a bit of a shave for accuracy... I'm really glad these are so well recieved. :)

Yah easily could have used either one. No these were my first attempts at making a custom Minifig of any kind. I wanted to make a custom but one that could blend with Official figs... I'm plan to make a few more over the next couple days, but thought I'd try these first and see how well received they were and see what needed work type of thing.

Thank you, glad you like them! I know ppl may be getting tired of the POTC stuff, but it seemed like a good place for my first custom, since there is ample reference. I used Photoshop, but mostly the pen tool and the vector shapes... I thought about using Illustrator but stuff with PS CS2. Cheers!

I voted for Imperial Trading Post, but only if you do what I did and swap out the Imperial Guards for Imperial Soldiers, and change the flag to the proper blue flag X-D

Simply awesome! I think this might be your best yet! I love it. Like has been said, it looks like an official set! You've gotta part list these man! I garauntee ppl would buy em! ;-) Nice to see the Wild West series live on in such high quality MOCs... the 12 or so sets Lego made never did the series justice. Cheers.
