  1. This theme will not end until they bring out a dragon knight castle, it stands to reason for them to make the most bang for their buck. Why go to all the trouble of creating to opposing factions if your never ganna give one side a fortess. why create conflict if your not ganna give people the option of who to side with, and also Lego know that people will buy it especially if they leave it as one of their last set for kingdom, it will complete collection. Cedric the bull never had a castle and people felt really let down by that fact, I don't think TLG will do that again.
  2. Yeah All your furniture is great plus pipe and bird.
  3. Your First Moc This is fantastic, wonderful idea and great layout, I love the interiour and all the characters. Truly Brillaint
  4. Variety Good Sirs, is the spice of life. Old figs are great and the new ones are 'New' which is always interesting, lego minifigs have got to learn to get along, their all pirates at the end of the day. Redcoats on the other hand, Where's the backback, no military man in my unit is faceing a deadly foe without being fully equipped. For shame sir, nice shako printing though. Also the admirals daughter, What a pretty young thing , lady pirates not bad either.
  5. Lol I was wondering if anyone would notice that. In my mind this fela in gold, might have done the deed but if think that he was hired by a greater power, (who in turn will betray him, which is why he's ran off too) But that doesn't mean i'm right, I used elements from the forestmens river fortress, Wolfpack Tower, Crusaders Mountian Fortress, and the Drawbridge Defence from the fantasy era (hence the Golden Knight) Sadly though, these building and the MMV is all i have (still an alright collection)
  6. i'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. But your comment made me smile
  7. lol yeah it is a little dark but part of me likes that, i think i might play with the brown bricks see if i can use them. Your Moc was good motivation
  8. Hello Again Everyone. This weekend, I have had a bit of free time and after seeing Spartans Vs Dragon Knights by Niku I was in the mood to make a new MOC, I orignally tried to make this using brown bricks, but didn't have enought to make half the tower, so I wimped out and used Grey . The Story behind this, is that the King has been Murdered and the Son and Wife have fled to a distant tower on a lake with only a few of their most loyal servants. It's open at the back which is a little sad but otherwise I'm pretty pleased with it. It is supposed to look a little run down and disused. Also please note this is my second MOc ever. Front Of Tower Side of Tower Side of Tower Dock with an old ship I had, plus the depressed price with his Body Guard Shot from the Back Blacksmith Further up the Back And Finally the Queen with her Loyal Bodyguard(Lover) Hope you Like it Comments Would Be Nice.
  9. Fantastic MOC Please tell me thats a Pulp Fiction Reference with the man chained to the rock outside. Fantastic
  10. All of these would be great, if this type of designs and options were avaliable in lego I would happily buy as many as my MLB (Monthly Lego Budget) would allow. But as it is medevil ship just don't do it for me
  11. I would like ships if i felt they had a point, for example i would like ships if we had the option of also having trade ships, so one could chase and steal from the other, and i would like a busy medevil port with lots of action going on. but ships just to move troops around. I lose interest. It's just a weirdness i have with lego. I also hate all peach minifigs, which is why im not excited about the pirates of the carribian release. I just had a great idea, A Medevil Doctors House think about it, medic operations, amputations, plauge doctors costume. we never look at the medical side of medevil life, could be interesting.
  12. This is a really nice moc i love the band of adventures, each one feels very unique. the whole scene is also great and very nicly set out.
  13. It is always that problem between available bricks and what you want to do. I have a fairly limited number of sets too so i feel your pain. if brick numbers is the problem, another idea i had, was to play with the minifigs, get a few poses and indervidual duels going with the scene, for example, the dragon knight falling from the wall, have a spartan right next to him pushing him off. or with the spartans on the wall, try giving them a ranged weapon so they have some means of fighting back, rather than just looking angerly down at the approching hoard. and if you can, incorporte the garden more, maybe by moving it or maybe by haveing some attackers sneeking round the back. Just some ideas, I have 4 spartans and they spend most of there time in the bar of my MMV trying to get work as mercenaries, being drunk is the worst way to get work. I look forward to see where you go with this Sorry just some shameless promotion here. but the minifig poses thing i was going on about is in this link My link its a moc i did with wolfpack and falcons. it helped me get over my brick limit
  14. Please let weastern come back, my fort legoardo is soo lonly as i have none of the other sets from that theme. plus the 6 man army of blue cowboys is always out numbered by my masses of knights and pirates
  15. A Whole day and no ones added to this??? Those you have suggested are all good, although I wouldn't buy a port set, as my knights are strictly land lock. But the castle creator idea is great and i would buy many of them. I would like to see a peasents cottage, something nice and smallish for about 2-3 peasents to live in and one that i can buy at least 10 of. Speaking of Peasents i would also love to see a Minfig Pack just of Peasents even if it's from china I would also like a farmhouse for the Mill we all know where getting. One other thing i would love to see is a return of forestmen and any forest hideaways And I would like to see some structures that are a little different, Maybe a toll house for all those carriages on the roads. Or a fishermans hut. Or bandits Or Farmers Or a trade wagon Or a Gallows Or a Stable Or a duel set that dosen't include a siege weapon i will never use or a outpost set that dosen't include a siege weapon i will never use Just some ideas but for me this is the most exciting year of releases as i finally get peasents in my normal sets (80's service has returned) although MMV is still the best castle set around.
  16. White is such a nice colour for a castle, why don't we see more of that As said above the arches are really good, I also like the space in the courtyard. Can't wait to see phase two.
  17. Excilent Moc I love the ladder at the back and the room in the roof The doors are brilliant too Elves are the best
  18. Amazing This is incredible, soooo many red bricks, but such a beautiful design and structure. This must have taken you ages, also i love how every minifig is indervidual, one of the best and most unique MOC's ever
  19. Nice MOC I'm Guessing you have Fort Legoarado in the western theme, this is a really good use of those parts (has given me an idea of my own) Some of my favorite parts are the screaming dragon knight fall off the wall, and the little garden in the back. The fort reminds me of a tempoary construct in a wilderness, I think it has alot of potential, just keep tinkering with it possibly add a small river at the front to keep the two boards together or make some rocks rather than black strips. Also consider changing one part of the wooden structure to grey brick, this gives it a focal point and a contrast with all the wood. But its a really nice Moc so far, you have soo many Spartans
  20. Fantastic Moc Really clever use of faces to show emotion Also that Tower is soo tall, it really look cool when someone is dangled from a very great hight. makes the whole thing more exciting. Love it
  21. Ahh Forestmen How I wish you would return to us all. This Moc is fantastic, I love the variety of forestmen you created from one type (also love the lady Forest(wo)man) I also love the overgrown feel you have with the basecamp, like nature is slowly claiming back the old building and the forestmen are happy to live side by side with that . Also love the Jonney Thunder Face, this face was used as my orignal robin hood for my old forestmen (until the series one minifigs came out)
  22. The trading post is great but if you take away the boat that comes with it, it suddenly dosen't look quite as exciting as a base (still a great dock, just not a base), for me the best looking base is eldorado fortress, or the pirates skull island. both have a nice large feel to them, perfect for invasion by an enemy ship also the islanders large island set is also quite nice, a little bit of a mish mash of things, but it looks really nice, my little bro loves sailing the trading post ship from the trading post to the islander island and pretending to trade (until the pirates show up and kill everyone) and i love helping him, (its not playing when its with small people )
  23. This is the point i was trying to make, you said it far better than i could i agree completly
  24. I see your point when it comes to breaking up a wide space with limited bricks , but when it come's to comparing castles with and without raised plates, I prefer the ones without , although I do apreciate the raised plates i have, i just never seem to be able to incorporate them well into any Moc i try and make could just be my poor talent
  25. Interesting Discussion I never liked raised base plates, I have the old Crusaders Mountain Fortress and thats on a baseplate, its ok for what it is but not great, Whereas my forestmens river fortress on a basic flat board looks great. I think TLC makes more exciting designs if it starts from the ground up, but a raised plate does half the work for them. so my vote is one flat plates. Modular designs are also interesting but some feel really weak and flimsy so if it can be made strong then that would be my favorite but simply too many modular sets fall apart when picked up. (at least with me, I might just be heavy handed)
