Very awesome. My mother actually worked on a few rice paddies in the Philippines, so naturally I showed this to her and she pointed out the things she used to do. =) I especially love the little rice bowl and chop sticks. It adds a nice touch.

Yesterday, I obtained another Sumo, Elf, and Racer. Also scored an aviator and two fishermen.

Funny. Did you find your three elves? One of the packs I bought ended up being an elf.

Turns out my local TRU does stock them! I went in today and they pulled out two new boxes! I scored two fishermen, a sumo wrestler, an aviator, another racer, and another elf. The other surprise was that I ran into another AFOL at this same TRU. He was looking for three elves, and if I would've known I got another, I would have gladly handed it over!

Funny, the Samurai was the first one I identified. Not by bumps, but by the sword. =P I gave up following the cheat sheet, because it seemed to only correctly identify the Tennis Player around me. The others had smaller extra bumps, so I decided to feel for the figs rather than by cheat sheet.

I got my first five as well: 1 Sumo 1 Samurai 1 Baseball 1 Elf 1 Racer I really want the fisherman, but I know it's the rarest in this series. =(

Interesting. I wish there was a Lego store in Las Vegas, but sadly there is not. I'm hoping to drop by one on a future trip to California, so I'm thinking I'll stockpile on cash to get away with as much as I can...

So is this theme really ending after these sets? I'm particularly fond of underwater themes (considering I'm studying to be a Marine Biologist), so I would be sad to see it go...

Just checked all the Targets and Walmarts around me. Found some great lego discounts at Target, but still no minifigures. Walmart was just all sorts of unorganized and I didn't even find any impulses or small sets (the cheapest lego set they had was $14.99). However, upon a tip given by someone in the Buying section of this forum, I checked my local Kroger chain (Smith's) and found some cheap impulses ($2.59 - They can be up to around $3.99-$4.99 at my local Target). So now along with my other purchases today, I got a 7955 Wizard, 7953 Jester, and 7566 Farmer. :)

I just got back from another Smith's that is only a bit further. They do have the impulse sets for $2.59 but not for $1.00. Still, $2.59 is better than $4.50 or $4.99 like at TRU or Target. The ones my Smith's had were: 7955 - Kingdoms Wizard (Weird, because the Lego.com store says it's not available in this country.) 7566 - City Farmer (Yay, pig and dog!) 7953 - Kingdoms Jester (Matches my Harley Quinn minifigure.)

Thanks! Unfortunately for me, the TRU that's 2 minutes away doesn't stock them, and the Target that is right next door keeps a similar selection of Legos. I'll check the local Walmarts, but I always feel dirty when I leave them. The last walmart I checked had the Midi Scale Destroyer sets at only $15 in the clearance sections, so there maybe good reasons to go there anyway...

Yesterday I scored a Toy Story 3 set (7596) off Craigslist for $25. Today I went across town to the only TRU that offers collectible minifigures (anyone know what other chains in the states carry them?) and scored 5 different ones. I'm trying to get the fishermen but apparently the dot codes aren't all the same. I ended up with an elf, sumo, baseball, samurai, and racecar driver.

I just checked my local Smith's. Completely sold out, that or I couldn't find them. =(

I sure hope so, Target nor TRU carry the collectible minifigures near me. I'd have to drive at least 30 minutes to the next nearest TRU to find one, but I don't want to waste the gas on a 2.99 figure. =P I did a quick google search and it seems they went on sale because they were a "seasonal" item, perhaps as stocking fillers.
