Thats all pretty believable, and exciting!!! But do you have any links?
-
I honestly cannot believe that Americans find these prices high!!! If these were the Aussie prices I would be crying with joy right now! They are so cheap for a licensed theme!!! Especially after POTC
-
Point taken, but with just him and Harley it seems hardly a reference to GCS, which was pretty great, if not a little sexist
-
What do people *think* this exclusive *might* be? Harley and Riddler seem like an odd pair up...

I'm really not seeing this whole overly cartoony vibe that everyone else is getting (any more) I think that came across in the box arts, but not so much in real life. Sure, it is more colourful, but I found the last batcave a bit boring because it was so grey. This one is way more modern, I mean, the last one had candles for pete's sake! I also love that it is more compact, for example, in the old set the prison was huge and a bit meh (except for the tube at the back, which was quite cool. Saying that this one has a great deal of detail and seems far more playable. I do this there are less comic book references (i.e. the dinosaur and sword in the last batcave,) That aside I am really starting to love this set and cannot wait to buy it.

Maybe it is just me, but I think the bike looks awesome. Also, I think that the choice was made to resemble Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne, in which case I think he looks brilliant.

Did anyone else notice that the assembly is not meant to be entirely straight, as the modular system makes it look. That bridge is meant to be connected onto the turntable front of the 'ready' sign. That means that it must be able to be put into an 'L' shape
-
I also have a feeling that the black 'walls' on either side of Batman close, which would really add to the 'cave' feel.
-
Weirdly enough, I love it. The only thing I think the other one had on it's side was it's size. But the upbeat, technologically advanced style suits batman far better.

Pfft. You Americans and you ridiculously cheap prices. I am sure these are just the Aussie prices, and that yours will be half of ours. As far as Aussie prices go these sound pretty good!

I was going to keep the element in the piece, with a layer of foil on it to stop the two melting together to stop it shrinking, I was also under the impression I could boil sculpey.

TUTORIAL: Decal application

Weird question. Would these be waterproof? -
Hi everyone, this is my first time posting in this part of the forum! I just bought some sculpey bake and bend off of ebay, and while I wait for it I thought I'd ask; do you think it will work well for custom hair pieces? I thought the standard sculpey may be too fragile, though I have had no experience with it, and thought that the bendable one would more closely resemble the sort of large exo-force material, which is more suitable for the large hairpiece I am making (pigtails)

Also, if green lantern is being made into a show there will no doubt be sets.

"Note that the launch of this series of sets is announced for the month of May 2012, a video game LEGO Super Heroes is scheduled for the month of June, and two cartoon series titled Green Lantern and Justice Young will be broadcast on TV." From Brick Heros. GAMEGAMEGAMEGAMEGAMEGAME!!!! Also, it is just called "lego super heros" which might mean a joint DC-Marvel game! That would be pure epicness!

I might have missed something, but brickheros has posted pictures of the box art. http://www.brickheroes.com/

I thought that we would get more "scenes" if you like. I was imaginging all the cartoony saw mills or jokerized theme park amusements we could get, but for some reason they choose to rely on vechiles again... I'm hoping that in the next wave they will change that, and we can see some new sets entirely. I thought that the reason we might be seeing repeats is because the originals are so valuable now, so LEGO is trying to cash in by releasing similar sets for a fraction of the price. I'd love for this theme to be huge, and I really hope they rethink it before its too late.

All the same, your point is valid. I would not hazard to guess that after the abysmal run of POTC, which I root back soley to the pricing issues, TLC realised their prices were getting too high, and that they would make more if they lowered their price yet sold in mass, which, we must admit, is virtually promised in a theme as universal as super heros. On another note, what do you think the chances are of Super Heros being the next star wars?
-
I have a feeling that two face and the joker are based off of their appearances in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, as that is the newest TV incarnation of them. i love batman, hate that particular show, but 'i think that the whole cartoony <insert that tiresome argument> look has come from its basis on Brave and the Bold.

Give me your best offer guys!
-
Hi everyone, I put this up for sale a while ago as part of a bulk lot, however I have removed it from the lot and am selling it as one, I did have a deal but unfortunately it fell through due to the buyers circumstances. So it is up for sale again. I am selling it for $460. All parts are in great condition, any which I was not happy with I replaced with new parts from Bricklink. It is missing three parts: 2x6 light bluish grey brick Hinge Plate 1 x 2 Locking with 1 Finger On End white Dark Blue Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with 1 Stud (Jumper) x1 The first buyer to agree to my price will have the set, case closed, no other offers.

The pricing is exactly my fear. If they are as expensive as Pirates Of the Caribbean, then we run a high risk of poor sales, leading to a very short run... all the same, I am ecstatic for this theme!

First post edited, prices changed.
