  1. yep they are, but that are the limits of lego you encounter. I did build a truck with the smaller wheels, but this build was way more fun. maybe some day I build a small one again specail for you my friend
  2. well, when I ordered theses tires i didn't intended to have one spare at the back so I used the smaller one you are talking about. keep in mind that one is smaller than the ones on the axles yup you're right I heard it from more people. I'm trying to change that as quickly as possible and I wil post some photos of it. thanks! But a sleep-cabin is not an option for me since this is a logging truck not meant for long trips. I also prefer looks above functionality
  3. Hey guys, I've been working for a truck for a while now, and I think I'm a little proud. My first intention was to built a Peterbilt 379. I started building but after al I don't want to call it a Peterbilt anymore, because in my eyes it doesn't show that much resemblence. in the progress I faced some problems. The first real problem was the space between the wheels at the rear. I wanted to drive it by a XL motor, and also dubble-air at the rear axles. following the scale I only had 4 studs between the wheels, and the differentials were 3. Then you have to work with half studs and I didn't manage to build it a way the gears didn't grind. so I removed the differentials and decided to build it non-PF. the only function was steering and so it is now. when the body was finished I wanted to do something more. On the rear I build a rack for woodlogs. A crane was also build but shortly after removed because the functions didn't work as i intended. By writing this post I do think of a modular system on the rear so that the rack can be removed and a Fifth-wheel can be placed. I like to see some criticism from you guys and ideas what to change or exchange.
