  1. I'll confirm if it is still there when I next get into town (Friday night or Saturday - as I work out of town during the week)
  2. http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=66368-1 Dunedin has this set still on the shelf at Toyworld. Don't know the price though but can get it for you though.
  3. Just got my first BTTW order in. Ordered it last week (Monday), shipped the next day (Tuesday) and arrived here today (Monday) Fantastic packaging and its great to have these impuse sets that I never saw locally (New Zealand)
  4. Oh TS = Toy Story! I was wondering what you guys were on about (since I am new to this whole Lego thing). There was one at Kmart Dunedin, though I haven't scanned it to see what the current price of it is
  5. I saw the Shuttle Adventure price and thought it had gone down in price. There was one on Trademe that was I was looking at that was roughly local to me at the same price as Lego.com but is now not. Wonder if the stupidly expensive shipping cost has been reduced as well.
  6. Both Toyworld and Farmers Dunedin had new Atlantis 7976 - Ocean Speeder 7977 - Seabed Strider 7978 - Angler Attack 7985 - City of Atlantis While Toyworld also had 7984 - Deep Sea Raider Purchased the last Deep Sea Striker they had using a TW Bear Club 20% coupon. They had no clue about the free Lego promo. They found some out the back but were still very reluctant to hand it over. Managed to get it though. Has any one got a Whitcoulls that still has Lego. Both Dunedin stores last week had a few Kingdoms sets (the $15 one and the $20 Rescue one), but this week - gone.
  7. I can help if required. Plenty of them locally.
  8. New Zealander here, coming over to Melbourne for the Formula 1 in March. Aside from various departments stores (David Jones, Myer, Big W, Kmart, Target and Toys R Us) are there any specialty Lego stores in the CBD or any of the suburbs (also Geelong and Bendigo since I am heading there to visit friends). Do any of the comic stores sell older Lego? Thanks for the assistance. Oh, and are BTTW any good? I see a few things I want there that I either passed on locally (K9 Bot) or a heap of other small sets I never saw in New Zealand. Shipping across the ditch seems to be good compared to another site I was looking at and it saves me importing from Europe via Bricklink.
  9. I just signed up to Bricklink - I brought some display cases for my Minifigures and needed some baseplates. Nothing available locally, so I found a seller in Europe and purchased them that way. I have now filled up my wanted list with all the sets I want and am starting to order them into purchase priority (Between saving, Transformers and Star Wars)
  10. Well Dunedin Kmart was out of the advertised Star Wars Battle Packs.
  11. I did a trip around Alexandra, Queenstown, Invercargill and Gore today, looking for Lego sets I could no longer find in Dunedin. This Lego thing is addictive - all these sets I purchased today I passed on over and over again 6+ months ago. Now to find room to display them as I build.
  12. Sweet, thanks for the heads up regarding the colours. I paid for my first bricklink order this morining containing dark grey 8 x 16 base plates for my setups. Hope they arrive soon Kmart in Dunedin have put out SW Battle Packs, but at $25 compared to $22 for last years. Along with the spinner sets for Ninjago ($17), 2258 Ninja Ambush ($12), 2516 Ninja Training Outpost ($9), 2259 Skull Motorbike ($29) and 2260 Ice Dragon Attack ($39)
  13. At the moment - any place they can fit (or take space from my Transformers, Star Wars and Marvel Universe collections) Just purchased some 1:43 scale display case, that I will put a 8x16 base brick into and display my Minifigures in there. Had to give up quickly on getting LARGE sets - largest I have is the Creator car trasporter and its living in the hallway.
  14. So I got my little cases in today, and using a 6x6 brick I had from one of the Ninjago sets, found the case was a perfect fit for a 8x16 base place. Using bricklink, I found sellers who had dark grey, dark blueish grey and light grey. My question is - what colour is this blueish grey? I wanted to get black, but it doesn't seem to exist :-)
  15. Wow, can you help out a NZ'er with those impluse sets? Pretty please?
  16. Need help - having just got into this Lego thing - after trying to keep to my main love (Transformers), - I need to know correct terms as well as possible places to purchase things (in New Zealand if available). Just purchased 12 1:43 model car display cases (13cm * 6cm * 6cm) which I aim to display some of my smaller transformers in as well as Lego and Halo Minifigures that I have picked up over the past 18 months. I plan to line the case with a brick plate, and then use the classic 8 stud brick to make a riser to display some items higher than the others. I need to actually get the cases in hand before I know what size the brick plate needs to be - but are there any stores in New Zealand that sell these loose parts? I had a look at S@H, but they didn't have black available. Hope this makes sense and I have used the correct terms to describe the parts wanted.
  17. Lego sales at Farmers and Warehouse ended yesterday (4th) so your not going to have any luck today :-)
  18. I got the race driver now, but I can sell the alien if needed
  19. Decided that paying an extra $1 until the next sale wasn't going to work so went back to my local Warehouse (Mosgiel) and started feeling up some more baggies. Got home wioth my three baggies and thankfully, 3 out of 3 - Elf, Mummy and Racer I am still after a Avaitor - I just can't seem to feel his parts in the bags at all, so if anyone gets an extra let me know Opened up my police sets today - Minifigure collection, Police Dog Unit, Car Chase. Aswesome little sets - love the trike and quad bike and think I have almost enough police cars now to complete my requirements. Now to use Trademe or other sources to pick up the coast guard sets I want but passed on too many times when lego wasn't fully in my aim to collect.
  20. Picked up 6 more minifigures from the two Dunedin Warehouse stores - City has them in the Lego isle, while South has them at the checkouts. With a whole lot of fondling of the packages, some swearing and cursing I decided that I had enough and came home to open what I had found. Sadly I wasn't as accurate as I could have been - ended up with two aliens, another indian, but got the fisherman, evil space robot guy and the snowborder (which were all surprises) Now to find race car driver, pilot, elf and mummy .. Least I managed to get these 6 at 20% off.
  21. Hi from Dunedin. Saw new Ninjago, Star Wars and City Police in Warehouse, Farmers and Toyworld on Sunday, and then Minifigure Series 3 at Warehouse on Monday. Had to pay full price for the mini's even with the advertised discount. (GRR) Purchased most of the Police City sets, along with a couple of the smaller Ninjago sets @ 30% off -- that will save me a bit of coin. Have to read a few pages back in this thread to see what other news people have posted about what is coming out this year in New Zealand.
  22. After a tip off, found these locally at 'The Warehouse' in Mosgiel, New Zealand Even though all Lego is 20% off, these where full price ($4.99). Couldn't find any bumps or dots at all to indentify the bags, so I did a bit of feeling and walked away with what I hope was a few I wanted. It didn't really work and now will have to head back in the next few days to starting fdeeling those bags up properly.
  23. Just found 2 cases of wave three at one of our department stores (New Zealand). Felt around in the package and thought I might have gotten at least one I want - I did along with a couple of surprises. We have gotten the European packets just like wave one and two. Came home and downloaded the bump/dot scans that are available for the American versions and found no bumps or dots at all anywhere on the package. So I guess its back to feeling for the accessories to make sure I dont get doubles etc.
