  1. Here you go I hope you liked the speedy service, that's faster than most cafes
  2. http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream I used the crane clamped on one of the 2x2 round bricks that you turn to move the conveyor to demonstrate how it moves backwards so my hand wasn't in the way. The video should be deeplinked
  3. Sorry, I should have mentioned earlier, my space bar isn't working properly at the moment, that's why loads of words are joined together.
  4. I'll get a picture. Bear with me
  5. It's all very well applying stickers on one brick, but I really hate it where, like on the crane you have to try and get it in the middle... I don't suppose anyone has any idea why the conveyor belt tips backwards so it's just past vertical? It baffled me.
  6. @ LEGO Shop Girl working on designing a series of sets featuring LEGO Disney Princesses

Is this serious, are the rumours about a 2012 Disney Princess theme true?

  7. I sign. Just think of all the minifigures and sets, although one of the clone brands has the licence at the moment, but I'll forget about that...
  8. Sorry if this is blatant advertising for myself, but I consider it relevant, as if Lego hadn't stopped selling them for 1.77 GBP on Pick A Brick I wouldn't have to be doing this. This is what I've posted in BSTF
  9. For a project I'm working on I need 18 x Baseplate 16x32 in Dark Bley. Lego Customer Service want to charge me £60 for them, and I really haven't got that much for just the baseplates. Is there any kind soul on here, who has any they would sell for £2 a plate or less? I really need these as soon as possible. Thanks in advance Matthew
  10. +1 for minifig_gal Very successful CM trade Thanks!
  11. 4645 Harbour - http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=55590
  12. Sorry for the delay, I have been sidetracked an awful lot while writing this (to go and buy the Sun ) Following on from myReview of 4644 Marina I present to you: 4645 - Harbour Reviewed By RubeusHagrid (Sorry about the distraction on the photos) Set name: Harbour Set number: 4645 Theme: City Subtheme: Harbour Release date: 2011 Minifigs: 4 Pieces: 551 The Box - features the usual city landscape, with docks added to it now. On the back it shows 'Play Features', 'EasyBuilding and Instant play' and the 'HEY!' that we have now come to expect on the boxes of City sets. The Box contents - 3 instruction booklets, a DSS (bent), 5 numbered bags, a 16x16dark bley plate, 3 16x16 dark bley driveway plates, the boat base and aconveyor belt. It seems that yesterday's luck with having flat sticker sheets has now expired Bag 1 - Contents Minifigure - not veryrare. but it does have back printing Random Page The Finished Truck - Therewas a theory that TLG would be introducing a new company, like Octan. I canconfirm that the letters in front of TRANSPORT on the roof are HA, thedesigners initials, like on the registration plate, so this is (unfortunately) not happening. Verdict - I really like this truck, and will be using it a lot in Town layouts Bag 2 Contents Front page ofinstruction book Pieces of note I got 2 fishing rods, there is only meant to be (and only enough string for) one. Minifigures - Both common, the crane operators face is quite new though, only been in 3221 and Maersk Train before. Neither of them have back printing. The join between the baseplates - There is a gap, which really bugs me. The Fishing Rod Random Page Finished (up to bag 3) model Bag 3 - Sorry for the quality of the photos from here on. My camera packed up so I had to borrow one, (one of those compact ones...) Contents Pieces of note Random Page Spare Parts - I'm sure I must have left out that 1x4 light bley tile from somewhere, but I can't work out where, and I did get a spare fishing rod after all... Finished Harbour Back Page of instruction book Bag 4 Contents Front page of instruction book Minifigure I'll put the photo on in a bit, I forgot to take it! I must have been tired... Random Page Finished (Up to Bag 5) I chose not to apply the 'Farm Line' stickers because A - it's a stupid name and B - I don't even have a Farm, so I will use it for carrying construction material probably. Bag 5 Contents Random Page Finished! Parts List The leftover Farm Line Stickers The whole set together Again, I apologise about the quality of the later images. Please feel free to ask for any more pictures, which I will take when my camera is charged (in about 2 hours from now) RATING Design: 4/5 (The road should be raised, not on the same level as the water) Pieces: 5/5 (Plenty of new/rare pieces) Playability: 5/5 (It can't get much better for the 8 year old) Price: 4/5 (I got it for 20% off at TRU, I think at most is should retail for £59.99) Overall: 4/5 A nice set, not as big as 7994, but nicer for it. You can feel the Classic Town feeling oozing from the yellow and blue colour scheme. I would definitely recommend you pick it up, or you will later regret it and pay premiums for a used copy, (like I did with 7994, just before this was announced ) I hope this review was helpful to you, This is only my second review, but I am already enjoying reviewing, so I will be doing it more often. Matthew
  13. You do know about the rest of us, I for one have already mentioned a hospital and a post office There is a rumour we might be getting Hospital and Construction next January, but no word on Summer...
  14. How much for 4705 Snape's Class 4709 Hogwarts Castle 4712 Troll on the Loose 4714 Gringott's Bank 4729 Dumbledore's Office 4730 The Chamber of Secrets 4731 Dobby's Release 4733 The Dueling Club (flag stickers are peeling) 4735 Slytherin Can I have individual prices please? Thanks
  15. That's what I've been trying to say (not very successfully) = It's a lot more bulky, solid. strong etc etc than it looks...
  16. Cupboards are all empty
  17. How much for 4701 Sorting Hat 4708 Hogwarts Express 4709 Hogwarts Castle 4722 Gryffindor Common Room 4730 Chamber of Secrets 4731 Dobby's freedom 4733 The Duelling Club ???
  18. City Corner for Bank? Would you want the box? Obviously shipping would be less without. Matthew
  19. As Promised: Overall, I think the shop had potential, but is far too empty, and I don't know what that little room to the right of the 4x4 is for... It could have been a changing room if it had had 4 walls and a door. I'm working on 4645 as we speak Matthew
  20. OK, I'm doing 4645 now, so stay tuned...
  21. I'll get you some more photos. I almost forgot the female minifigure as it was in a different bag, and I forgot to put my camera on macro No, It just pops out of there for me
  22. Thanks all! Now I've finished the review I'm going to build it the other way around with the beach on the right and the shop on the left, to fit into my beach better.
  23. Hi I saw there were reviews of the smallest 3 Harbour sets, so I decided to do the larger ones. (4645 coming in a hour or two) This is my first review, so please forgive me if I do anything drastically wrong (Sorry about the backgrounds) Set name: Marina Set number: 4644 Theme: City Subtheme: Harbour Release date: 2011 Minifigs: 5 Pieces: 294 The Box What's inside? Two instruction books, not too badly bent, a DSS which was nice and flat inside the smaller instruction book 4 Numbered bags - each with a smaller bag inside, and one softer bag with two tan plates, the red 'straw' and the blue boat base. Bag 1 Contents Pieces of note (for me anyway) The Minifigures All have back printing, the diver and boat driver have the same torso The Set A rather nice diving flag which has stickers on both sides The windsurfer - I like the concept of this, but the sail is always coming off, and the mast just flops if the mi ifig is not holding onto it. The Quad Bike - is nice, but I think it would have been nicer if it had been orange and it had had a proper Coast Guard like from 2008. The torso is on PAB and I can see no obvious reason why, so maybe the theme will be making a comeback... The Boat The base is nice, and has only been in a couple of sets before. I really like the touch of there being enough diving gear and seats for 2. I am a bit disappointed that this will only just fit under the stairs, and by logic (as I don't have them yet) the other 3 boats won't either Random Page The Main Set Instructions and stickers Front Page of instructions Contents of bag 3 Minifigure - that torso is new to me, but has been in a couple of other sets and is now on PAB. This is what Bag 2 builds Looking at the official pictures, it seems small and flimsy, In fact there is a lot more of it that there seems to be, of course it's not in the same league as 6543, but it is quite deep, as well as wide. Bag 3 Contents Random Page Completed up to bag 4 There certainly is a lot more of this that there looks to be. The shop is much better that I imagined. Bag 4 Contents Random Page And.......... Finished One nice touch is the red, yellow and green flags that the 'lifeguard' can change depending on the safety of the water Spare Parts (surprisingly few) Parts List - it all fits on one page *gulp* Police and Harbour Dioramas on the back pages RATING Design: 3/5 (should have had more moorings if it is a 'Marina') Pieces: 5/5 (Plenty of new pieces) Playability: 4/5 (it could have had another boat, similar to 4641) Price: 3/5 (I got it for 20% off at TRU, but I think it should be £29.99, not £39.99, as it only has a few more pieces than the Power Boat Transporter) Overall: 4/5 A nice set, that I definitely suggest you pick up if you are a town/city/harbour fan. Stay tuned for how it will fit into my layout... I hope this review was helpful to you, I certainly enjoyed writing it and will have to do this more often. Matthew
