@Lego Dino 500, That sounds like a good idea. What do you mean by "1x1 modified plates"? I don't know which piece you're referring to there. I like the idea of using the 1x1 bricks, I'll see about setting that up. @rodiziorobs, What do you mean by that? How can I attach the gun module to that piece? I'm confused.

Hello everyone! I'm working on an MOC of an Anvil Aerospace F7C-M Super Hornet, from the game Star Citizen. My first bugaboo was seat design, these seem to be the best compromise available: If anyone has any suggestions to improve them, that would be great. However, my biggest problem at the moment is designing the weaponry. I am attempting to do a standard F7C-M loadout, and that means Klaus & Werner guns. These have a three-barreled design, which I have mostly in hand, but I am at a loss as to how to mount them to the rest of the build. ArmstrongYong, that looks pretty much spot on. Is there any reason for the grating at the end, or is it just to look good? Also here's a slightly modified version, does it work or is it too thick do you think?

Redtrooper, I'm working on one for an F-18 Hornet, one for an Su-27/35, and one for a fictional spacecraft, the F7C-M from Star Citizen. The Star Citizen one is my first priority, followed by the F-18. The Star Citizen one has a maximum width of 4 studs and a maximum height of about 3.5 bricks or so, and ideally would be only about 2 or 3 studs deep so that I could seat minifigs in tandem without them being in makeout distance. The f-18 one has a maximum width of 4 studs again, probably 4 studs deep at max, but has essentially no restrictions on height. Any ideas?

How to make one out of LEGO that looks good. Also, out of curiosity, what squadron? Yeah, that gap is one of my problems. Do you have any idea how to make it smaller while still having the ability to bend?

I'm not sure I was clear earlier, my apologies. I do NOT want a seat that actually ejects. There will be no space for a mechanism of any kind, and the windscreen I am using will not allow ejection anyway. Thank you for the suggestions for seats to look at, though. The Blue Power Jet is very close to what I had in mind. The headrest especially is nearly perfect. The Quinjet seats, while a bit further away from what I'm looking for, do give me an idea. Perhaps I could make a headrest attach to the seat body in the same way as on the Quinjet seats but while maintaining the look of the Power Jet seats? I will be back shortly...

Hello all, I am in the process of designing several different fighter air/spacecraft and am running into a brick wall for seat design. I've tried google-fu, but I keep running into James Bond-style car ejectors and horrible-looking seats that actually throw the minifigure. I want neither of these, so I'd like to ask here. The builds are all at minifigure scale, and I would love some help/advice on how to make decent looking seats. They don't need to actually eject or move, but I want to be able to include a parachute/small backpack on the pilot figures. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi everyone! My name is UK_IN_US (Edward in the real world), and I enjoy LEGO. I started on Duplo well before I could string words together, and I believe I still have a picture of me in a Duplo chair I built using a combination of my, my friend's, and the church preshool's Duplo collections. I got my first real set in maybe 2002 or so, when I was but a wee lad. It was, I believe, the Res-Q Digger from the Jack Stone line. I lived in Santa Ana, CA, and Legoland trips were frequent at birthdays and during the off-season. The digger was followed very quickly with a World City police helicopter and the gift from my grandad of an older 9V Lego train, the Metroliner, and the 25th Anniversary Silver Brick tub. Things grew from there. I like PC gaming, but unfortunately most games don't like my computer. My current projects include a Star Citizen F7C-M Super Hornet and a SWAT team made up of ARCTIC figures with pilot helmets and black visors. I speak English Ich sprache Deutsch Hablo Español
