  1. This is coming along brilliantly, 4J! *wub* This is also going to take a lot of room. :-D One nitpick: The main walls, such as next to the turret hatch, next to the engines, etc., are pretty bare. Are you planning to greeble them a bit, such as adding signs, gas lines, etc? Also, what are the engines going to look like? Will
  2. Yay! We needed this... :-D Right now reading "Castaways of the Flying Dutchman" by Brian Jacques. Shouldn't you have included "Spoilers present" in the title? Will
  3. If anything, this new RGS is worse than the first one. |-/ First, it's too long for it's size. The wings are too short. Also, the troop bay doors are waaay too far back, and the turrets are too far forward. It looks like TLC got lazy with this one. Both the AT-TE and the RGS are pretty much the same as they first were, but the RGS looks like they decided to make parts of it bigger, but the rest stayed the same size. Take a look at those wings- almost exactly the same size as the original, but the nose of it is stretched way out there. Where are the side turrets? The thing on the side looks more like a door than a turret. What is the monkey-lizard doing there? It looks like it's holding a bomb, like the old WW II bombers had... But not with a monkey-lizard, though. :-D Why did TLC decide to include Obi-Wan? Two Jedi, one Dark Jedi, and Two clone troopers. :-/ We don't need Obi-wan in there. |-/ Overall, not happy with this new RGS. It's a slightly MODed edition of the first, in a new box. It's a prototype, so I can still hope. *sad* Will
  4. Thanks, guys! I have the Rogue Shadow in the review pipes, should be up soon. Take pics of each page? That is a lot. I don't know of anywhere that might have it. :-/ If you check *vader* 's review, he has a lot of pics of the build, that might work just as well. Will
  5. I'm a great driver, aren't I? X-D This is a great mech, but I have one question: Can I keep the keys? X-D Will
  6. Happy New Year, everyone! I went to my local Wal-mart looking for an exclusive Bionicle set yesterday, but was amazed to find everything there- SW, Bionicle, EF, Indie, the works. I nabbed the JSF and the Rogue Shadow and scampered home to take pics with my new camera. *wub* The box: The same as the other '07 boxes. Nothing new. The back shows the various features, with "pop out R2." :-| Luckily, the intruction booklet and the DSS were intact- not folded like the last MM set I got. |-/ The DSS: Not too bad, but printed parts would have been great. The figs. Anakin is amazing, IMO. *wub* Fits the CW Anie great. I noticed on the S@H reviews the kiddies were saying how ugly he looked. |-/ They need to see the CW cartoon. For the sake of my health, I should probably stop reading those. :-D The build. I won't go too in-depth on the build, since *vader* posted a very in-depth review here. The start of the build: The body of the fighter starts out long and skinny. The JSF's landing gear allows it to sit comfortably without getting in the way while swooshing. R2-D2's launching device. R2 in position. When launched... ...He often gets stuck if you don't press the button hard enough. :-/ Looks like R2 needs to lay off... whatever it is robots eat. So far: The flag stickered. It's a big sucker sticker. Completed. I forgot to add the nose stickers before I took the pic. Warning- the nose cone sticker is actually two stickers. I thought it was one, peeled of one of the stickers, and put it on the middle of the two 1x8 plates, and didn't notice the other sticker. *wacko* Various completed shots: I think this was a beautiful little set. R2's launching unit and the flick missiles are annoying, but easily fixed. I plan to add proper cannons in place of the flick missiles. Anakin is a great minifig, but he doesn't look so well standing next to my other figs. The Brickshelf Gallery (when public) Will
  7. Saw "I am Legend" with my cousins a few days ago. Well, part of it. I don't like those kinds of movies, and I was expecting something different, because I'd never seen the trailer. The mutant screaming really creeped me out. 8-| I left partway through. :-$ Sat in the theatre for an hour, almost fell asleep, and two people asked if I was stoned. :-| Stupid *other* teenagers... Saw "National Treasure: Book of secrets" last night. If anything, it was better than the first one. Good plot, one slightly cheesy part (kidnapping the President), but the beggining made me laugh. Will
  8. Now that you point it out, it does need red... Really easy MOD to do, though. Will
  9. *Tries* Oww.... I meant the realistic, dangerous looking ones. Pirates, Wild West, and Adventurers had a more innocent feel to them, and the figs had smiling faces. EF is non-realistic, with mechas and big hair, so that doesn't have a "real life" feel to it, either. Agents, on the other hand, have serious looks on their faces, and are holding sub-machine guns. Will
  10. Happy new year !! Fourteen minutes late, but what's fourteen minutes, give or take? X-D Will
  11. Thanks! It'll take me a long time to figure out the camera to bring it to it's best potential, maybe I should take a class. :-/ I wanted to keep the small propellers on- big rotors are targets. After all, it's futuristic- there must be advanced metals, engines, and gears. Actually, I think this is one of my favorites, and I don't think the pics did it justice. I re-built the sub one day, and it just happened to turn into this. Completely imagination. I'm planning to do a comic about my comment on the batteries: I think I'll call it "Hanger 42", featuring the adventures of two numbskulls working as mechanics... :-D Will
  12. I thought he was in the GMPP, Grand Moff Protection Program... :-P Will
  13. ...and Qui-gon, and Jedi Jimmy! :-P This is a great MOC, Sir Dillon, excellent job. *y* Will
  14. That's a truck? I thought that was some sort of building! :-$ Jeez... If there weren't any guns in this, I'd be fine with it. It's definetly meant for the kids, and shouldn't have guns for that. |-/ I think this is the first non-license theme to get guns. :-/ Will
  15. Impie only? *Braces for impact* ... Well, it could have been worse. :-P It was good. The three-way was brilliant! :-D Will
  16. Thanks! Like Brickmaster said, it's a MOD. Yellow and black is best. :-P Besides, I have a boat with the same colors, and I might take pics. Will
  17. Not at all! A helpful post is a welcome post. Self-advertisement ON :-P Will
  18. Easy change. I was thinking of something a bit different... :-$ What about your black Mars Mission set? That's a good candidate. Will
  19. Whoops, I was going to mention that... :-$ As for the rounded effect, I might look into it, but I kind of like it the way it is. I prefer the rectangle, it's a military craft, not art. :-P Thanks for the criticism. Thanks, Exobuilder! If you're having problems, just MOD, like I do. I'm horrible at starting from scratch. This started out as re-building 4794, but then it mutated into this... Will
  20. Okay, here we go! I received a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi for christmas, and I've been dying to try it out. It's really complicated, so I'm still fine-tuning it. In other words, I have no idea what I'm doing with it. :-D I also went out and bought new lights today. One of my old bulbs shorted out, so I decided to completly revamp my photography efforts. I think its an improvement. The Mandalorian Defense Technologies Dropship, otherwise known as the MDT Blastboat: The Blastboat is a troop carrier designed to go in to a target fast, drop off the troops, and bug out even faster. As you can see, troops are exposed to enemy fire, and the only heavy armor is located at the bottom of the ship, to defend from small to medium arms fire. The Blastboat is vulnerable to attack from above, but it wasn't designed to dogfight, anyway. The rear of the ship is occupied by the two main engines and a rear-facing laser cannon. The main engines can swivel, allowing the ship to carry heavy loads if neccesary. The rear cannon was designed to fire in a continuous stream for a short period of time. When heading into enemy territory, the cannon can cause massive devastation behind it, clearing the way for ground troops. The gunner uses the camera to aim. I'm pretty proud of my troop bay. Forward is the gunner's station, where he operates the rear cannon and the top-mounted main cannon. Above is the cargo net, which holds a variety of items. The back of the bay boasts a medical station and stretcher. If a troop is injured, he can be treated with first aid while the gunship speeds toward the nearest field hospital. the Blastboat is powered by two experimental batteries, one for propulsion, and the other for the power-hungry weapons system. The battery is extremely powerful, but hated by mechanics the world over, because the time-honored method of "Give 'er a good kick and some duct tape" only succeeds in giving the mechanic glow-in-the-dark skin for a few years. If the ship is hit and forced to crash-land, the cockpit can detatch, and fly a limited distance to the nearest town for help. The troops. Yes, I know that they're Dino Attack, but they're cool :-P : The gunner (orange), the pilot (black) and their fearless leader, me. X-D Charge, men! Victory IS at hand! So, I was wrong! Don't shoot me! The bacta tank in use... The Blastboat has been discontinued for battlefield use, and is now popular in Special Ops squads for its speed and carrying capacity. BrickShelf Gallery (When public) Comments and constructive criticism appreciated. :-) Will
  21. Hey, we both got cameras for Christmas! My parents got me an EOS digital rebel XTI. I'm going to try it out as soon as I get my lighting crisis fixed. |-/ One my twenty-year old movie lights died, and I can't find a good replacement. :'-( Will
  22. Good review, Exobuilder. :-) Torso stickers... torso...stickers.... :-X Will
  23. :-D *y* I haven't seen the new movie with Depp, but I bet it's not nearly as good as the original... The original was truly hilarious. This MOC is great! The camera is much better, what kind is it? Will
  24. Just got the game! Lots of fun, though Bounty Hunter Persuit wasn't much fun. :-/ Question: How do I get Indie? Forgive me if it's already been asked. :-$ Will
  25. That sums it up perfectly! These prelims are amazing! 8-
