  1. One more article with info on Season 7 (and more of the same about the new companion. This seems to be the article that one quoted in the one previously posted...): Article
  2. Just received my package today! To all of you who made this raffle possible:Thank you so much!!! Also, my thanks to Legobrandon for trading with me for this awesome prize pack (prize B)! Lastly, I think that I read (earlier in the thread) that some people had gotten a Vos head instead of a Koth head (for Eeth Koth), and that has happened to me as well now... Is there anyone who received Vos with Koth's head?
  3. Yay! I actually won something! Thanks so much for hosting this awesome raffle CopMike!
  4. Here's the link to the HothBricks article: Link! Also, the picture: Link I think Yoda looks kinda scary, but it does say that this is preliminary... Hopefully it will change before it is finalized for the 2013 run...
  5. is decorating for the holidays...

  6. On the issue of the R2 socket thing on the Jedi interceptor: I like that they tried to give it some symmetry by putting a bulge on the right side as well, but the addition of the flick-fire missiles looks a bit odd. I think that it would benefit from just having the bulge (to keep it symmetrical) without the missiles. The missiles do, however, provide an additional play feature for the kiddies. EDIT: (Having been beat to Obi-Wan's new hair realization) I really do love the new hair. I think it's much better than the Clone Wars version and complements the new face well. I wonder how it works with the CW version of Obi-Wan. Maybe they'll use this on the CW season 3 updated version of Obi if/when they release him.
  7. Thanks so much for hosting the raffle! I quickly put a little something together. It's not much, but I kinda like it. It's not strictly Xmas related (as I don't celebrate Xmas), but the original inspiration came from last year's Doctor Who Christmas Special (which is where the quote at the bottom come from).
  8. The Lego POTC product page has been updated with the new Black Pearl minifigures . Link! Also (to comment on some of the previous discussion), if the Lego POTC line continues its success, I see no reason for Lego to end it. Additionally, with the 5th movie's script in the works (though not fully confirmed) and production planned for summer 2012 (or so I've heard...), Lego will have a whole new movie to work off of. Also, if POTC continues its success, they plan to theoretically make a 6th movie as well. So, fortunately for some, but unfortunately for others, I do think that the POTC Lego line will continue so long as it remains moderately successful.
  9. YAY! Thanks so much! I like how the Zombie and the Warrior not only have different colors/printing, but also different wing printing! Barris' torso also got an update... She doesn't look too bad in her updated form (face print), the eyes are still a bit creepy though... The Cannon's pretty good, but in all honesty, this set's about the figures which IMO are GREAT!
  10. Good to know! Looking forward to it! Thanks so much! Oh, and going off what someone said earlier: It does look like there's a Yavin theme is going on with the minifigures: Ceremony Luke and Han, and now Leia!
  11. I'm not sure I want to pick this one up (as I have the older one...). I do like the new Leia, and the yellow droid is a plus... It'll all depend on the price I guess, which , being an exclusive, will probably be outrageously high... Also, does anyone find it odd that we've been getting High-res pics of even the exclusives (Y-wing and Jedi Interceptor), but haven't seen any for the Geonosian Cannon?
  12. Wow! These pics are fantastic! I am very impressed with how the Clone/Droid battle pack came out. Colored rangefinder, cloth gear, and loads of printing! Hopefully the colored rangefinder will lead to colored vizors ect. for those like Cody who need them! I'm disappointed, however, by the fact that a clear support is needed for the cannon thing to stand... The printing on the Sand troopers is impressive. I'm of too minds on the dirt however. It's a bit too much for my tastes. C-3po's new printing is growing on me, in high res, it looks pretty good! The escape pod is...nothing special, but not horrible/bad either... The Tie fighter looks great. Not much to comment on though as we've had good pics of this set for a while now... The X-wing looks pretty good: detailed engines, more refined than the previous version, still not perfect though. Not sure what those white things are right below the cockpit on the sides are. They were added after the preliminary pictures, so this is a minor change from what we'd seen previously... Wow! First clear pics of the Jedi Interceptor! I'm hoping that they fix the problem that Obi's (most recent one) had: where the cockpit would flip open when turned upside-down. I'm still curious to see how they've incorporated R2 and how much he interferes with the sleekness of the ship. Looks like Ani and Obi get they're CW hairpieces, but brand-new faces and torsos (and printed legs for Ani) and Gunray gets a ROTS revamp with a colored version of his CW headdress.... Looks like we've got a bunch of goodies coming this winter! I'm just curious as to why they had the Jedi Interceptor (an exclusive), but not the Geonosian Cannon which we've seen pics of all along. I really want to see what they've done to Barris (in other words: should I pick up the Swamp Speeder, or wait for her CW rendition if it's not too horrid...), Gree (who looks great!) and the Geonosians (Zombie vs. Normal. There seemed to be a slight difference in pattern in the last pics, and their wings also seemed slightly different too...)
  13. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Blu-ray Lego Sweepstakes! I just found out about this really cool sweepstakes that Disney is hosting through December 31 (Link). It's free to enter once, but you can enter up to 19 additional times using the Disney points that you get through purchases of Disney products. I don't know the exact dollar value of a single point, but each additional entry costs 5 points. Either way, to enter you have to sign up which gets you and automatic 25 points meaning, theoretically, you could enter 6 times for free if you so choose. The Grand Prize: A 5 night trip for 4 to the Lego Headquarters in Denmark The First Prize: Walt Disney Sound System 25 Second Prizes: The Black Pearl (Lego set) 50 Third Prizes: Lego MBA Space Designer Kit 50 Fourth Prizes: The Fountain of Youth (Lego set) Oh, and everyone gets a free Lego Club Magazine Subscription for entering (Disney claims it has a $7.95 value). 14. Not sure if this is the place to discuss it, but Disney has a Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Sweepstakes that has Lego most of the prizes. There's some pretty cool prizes and it's free to enter. Here's the Link. Also, I found this through This article on FBTB, so credit goes to them not me.... EDIT: Official Topic Here!
  15. Just got The Mill for my birthday. It's a good set, but sadly Norrington's hair is wrong and doesn't fit on his head.... Also Jack had a white streak on his hair... I contacted customer service and they were nice enough to send the parts in the mail (haven't arrived yet though....).
  16. Well now that is embarrassing.... Actually, the pic is there in the zoom feature, but not in the image mode. So if you hover over it it'll zoom in on the right picture, but won't display the full size one. The thing is, this morning when I posted the link, there were multiple pictures with working zooms.... Not sure what happened.... EDIT: All pics are once again up, and Zoom works for all of them!
  17. I don't think that this has been posted yet, but I apologize if it has, however, it's news to me: The Black Pearl is now available through Lego Shop.com! Hope to pick up mine soon!
  18. I would love the tag! Would it be possible for me to get one? Thanks so much! Congratz Brickdoctor, Oky, and The Penguin!
  19. We got price confirmations not too long ago. I can't remember where, but here's the list of prices for the Star Wars line: Star Wars LEGO 9488 ARC Trooper & Commando Droid Battle Pack $12.99 LEGO 9489 Endor Rebel Trooper & Imperial Trooper $12.99 LEGO 9490 Droid Escape $19.99 LEGO 9491 Geonosian Cannon $19.99 LEGO 9492 Tie Fighter $49.99 LEGO 9493 X-wing Starfighter $59.99
  20. Actually, in a random trivia moment, I found out that The QAR and the BP were "played" by the same ship named the Sunset. So, I guess they should actually look similar (which they did very much so in the movie). I am of two minds about this set. I am super excited for pics of this set, but the perlim pic is kind of a let down. It's quite small. I mean, come on! This is the single most prominent ship in the series. It should be UCSish or something. I know we've know the piece count for some time now, but it still turned out small. I like that some of the Dutchman's crew are included, but would like to see more of the Pearl's. I'm not 100% convinced that that is Bootstrap, it makes some sense, but it could also be a pirate from the Pearl (Pintel, Ragetti, Cotton etc.). And finally: Where is Cotton's Parrot? And Jack the Monkey?!? Hopefully we'll see further (non-perlim) pics soon that shed more light on this set.
  21. Just found this article on FBTB. Apparently, all new Lego POTC sets produced from this point on will have the new shiny (chrome) gold.
  22. I just got back from the movie and now realize how strange these sets really are. As was mentioned before, the entrance to the fountain should be upward, we need the Spanish/the Spaniard, and where are those coveted silver chalices? Also not sure why the Map is in the Fountain scene (in which the actual fountain is also all screwed up...), and lastly, there is no battle in the 'Captain's Cabin", though there are Ships in bottles (one being the Pearl). I am very happy that we have semi-conformation of the 2nd wave. Can't wait for images (firstly of the Pearl!) Sorry for this off-topic bit: I know this wasn't addressed to me, but I too am a fan of the Pirates music and therefore can answer your question. Though the soundtrack is filled with many Spanish-style acoustic guitar pieces (which are different but very good), the actual movie does not use that much. The chanting bits are used more often, as well as the Angelica bit when she's featured/talked about. Mostly though, it's the classic (but slightly different) Hans Zimmer musical scores. Overall though, the balance was tilted to Zimmer, but with a fair bit of Rodrigo y Gabriela music mixed in.
  23. Not sure if this is the place to post this, but I just found this on FBTB. It's a Lego remake of the Cars 2 trailer similar to the one done for POTC 4, but IMO it's much better. Hope you like it!
  24. Just recently got my Lego sets in the mail, then the ARF trooper a few days later, but unfortunately the poster wasn't included (apparently they ran out...). Not a huge loss though, the ARF was more important. One of my sets didn't come with the rest of the sets, but I've fixed that now. Never had that happen to me before. It was on the shipping conformation as well as the S@H receipt that comes in the box...not sure what happened...
  25. The PC demo for the Pirates Video Games is up on The Lego POTC products page. It's the reward for completing all the games and tasks (in the center of the map). They're not that hard to do... Not sure if this would be the right place to post this... Oh well, hope this helps!
