DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
NXS7 replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
If you think about it, it doesn't need to mean that this set is ONLY for sets released in 2019, but instead it's a thread discussing the sets released in, and rumours/information of future sets announced in 2019, so it's just a DC thread of all events that transpired over 2019 -

Just want to throw this out there; the set names aren't final. They're all preliminary names. So it doesn't mean that there's just going to be a bike or truck that belongs to the Avengers, but the set contains a bike and a truck that belongs to a certain character. Same with Spider Man, we literally just got an actual Spider Man bike, mech and jet (albiet Juniors), but the bike could belong to Kraven or Mister Negative, not necessarily Spider Man. The mech could even be Sp//Dr. So we should all just chill with the comments that "Spider Man doesn't need a bike" or "The Avengers didn't use a bike" unless we know that said vehicles actually belong to the Avengers or Spider Man Thing is... How many sets could you get out of buildings or playset areas, I'm pretty certain I remember the Sandman/Rhino set being hated for it's builds. Not many people in comics have associated vehicles, so it would've been inevitable that LEGO designed a bunch of vehicles for characters. And of course it would be the heroes who receive these vehicles that would, in comics, be incredibly unnecessary. But it's vehicles like these that allow for more and more figures to be released. If these vehicles were such a problem to an AFOL then you could just buy the sets then keep the figures and sell the vehicle, but of course <inserts the usual "these sets are for kids who would probably love a Spider Man bike" comment> The Hulkbuster is an iconic larger scale Iron Man suit, that of course has many variants (hence two different ones for the movies, 3 years apart), the UCS Hulkbuster isn't exactly a normal consumer set so I'd hardly count it, Giant Man isn't a mech, he's a buildable giant minifigure, same with Molten Man and Rhino being based upon TASM2 and Detriot Steel really just had to be mechs Spider Man, Venom and War Machine are the only mechs that could've been avoided, but Venom doesn't necessarily have to be a mech, it can just be a large Venom, and the War Machine mech is... Just awesome despite it not being included in Endgame, or really anywhere. So I'd say that Spider Man is the only one who didn't NEED a mech, but I'm part of the people who really like that mech. See now, the obvious first thought to mind is the Netflix Defenders shows, but I kind of doubt it now all the shows have been cancelled Falcon and the Winter Soldier will reportedly be released in August next year, so it's a while away, but I could easily see it happening for a potential summer release. At least just one set would be fine by me. -

Well Marvel has like 9 sets coming, and DC has confirmed to have at least two, so surely most of, if not all the other sets could be DC. Maybe split into a Batman theme and a Justice League theme like how Marvel has Avengers and Spider Man -
Just want to throw a recommendation for this part; the 2017 Nexo Knight armour. The large orange shoulder blades really replicate that aspect of his costume. I used it on my version from a couple of years ago (my version's meant to be a combination of movie and comic book, hence the wings). Gregor's head is a very good shout though, I don't own it, but I'd love to add it. The JW torso works just as well, I just had to improvise with what I had for mine

I'm pretty certain that last year some figures with slightly altered pieces appeared in the same fashion and people thought that these figures were leaked. Also the photos original source has stated on Instagram that it's not a leak, just a custom -

Credit goes to The Brick Fan for this idea, it's not exactly much, but adding this to the QRS suit are least gives a little more detailing https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=981982pb147#T=I&C=1 -

Think it's really just down to the Red/Black suit that should've been in the jet set. Also I don't recall seeing a single firefighter during the Molten Man fight And the drones should've been white. But yeah, surprisingly LEGO hasn't gone and secretly spoiled the film. Kudos -

If it is to be the same as last year, we saw only the Venom mech set at SDCC, then the other sets about a month before commercial release, so I wouldn't expect anything -

Basically, I used anything I could find around . It was simply a black neck bracket, a translucent 1x1 round tile with pin (though black or red easily work too (https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=20482&idColor=115#T=C&C=115), and the rest is literally just one of Carnage's tendrils from the new set

Not necessarily true. Never forget that Hulk came in a £35 set (AoU Hulkbuster) with 3 other figures. So its not impossible for a bald Thanos to appear in a smaller set Also I don't see any reason to disbelieve that the other sets are all Marvel, it could be a case of two/three more Avengers Endgame sets, and one/two Juniors sets, or like everyone else have stated, a couple of Endgame sets and a couple of comic sets. The leakers wouldn't just say all sets are Marvel without evidence -

There's two ways really. They either print his belly to be a lil larger, for example, like Jacob Kowalski Or they use a new beard mold that gives him an enlarged torso, like Bombur -

Surprised nobody has said it yet... So I guess I'll go ahead... "I SEE THIS AS AN ABSOLUTE WIN!" The Rescue figure looks really inaccurate to me for some reason, but I'm not complaining, glad we're getting her. Also so happy to have the right Hulk to go with the other sets, as well as such an awesomely detailed Iron Gauntlet. Also happy to get more Chitauri, as I have too many Outriders and not enough of them. Black Widow being a repeat is okay because, as someone stated, you can just use the QR suit on someone else. Very creative on how they did her batons. Helicopter is actually pretty cool, if anyone doesn't like it being an Avenger Copter, you could easily remove the logos. I understand that the films weren't exactly too action heavy, and there's only so much you could translate from the final battle, so I understand why these sets aren't really near accurate, but I just hope that we could see more figures, even if the sets are completely random garbage. Just to list who we could still see; Cap (Scale), Thor (Dual Wield), War Machine MK6/7, Rocket, Valkyrie, Scarlet Witch, Nebula (with orange armouring), Wasp. It would be nice if we could get an updated Captain Marvel with helmet, but only if it's the original colours, not the Endgame colours. EDIT: Oh, and how could I forget, Korg and Miek -

Just looking at the SDCC releases last year, we had the Giant Man bust with Wasp figure, and Sheriff Deadpool for Marvel, then the Aquaman and Seahorse set, and Black Lightning for DC. Considering the sets appear to be based on the movies (Aquaman was obviously comic based, but his film was releasing that year), while the figures were either comic or DCTV based. So if this set is film based, including TWO exclusive figures, the exclusive figure shouldn't be film related right? The exclusive figure has only once been MCU related (Collector, but considering the amount of characters in the movies released since, it hasn't been anyone else), and has mostly been comic based. Surely it could just be another Deadpool, or, considering the comics over last year, it could be Red Goblin, War Machine Punisher, an Infinity Warp character like Soldier Supreme or Arachknight. -

Maria has a new head piece. Thoroughly disappointed with this Kree suit decision, I need two of those torsos, one for Carol and one for Minn-Erva. NEED the instructions for Goose, it's just too good -

If it's anything like the Marvel set, it could likely be a Shazam diorama of the Rock of Eternity. No chance it would be Monitor or Anti-Monitor, unless the exclusive is Arrowverse's Monitor. -

Star Wars fans are jealous of Marvel/DC's printing? How ironic considering according to the Marvel thread, it's basically an act of war if a generic henchmen doesn't have arm, leg and hand printing. I always like to see the best in what we get, each theme has something different for what it is, and one theme having more or less detailing or printing than another shouldn't mean that said theme is lazy. DC and Marvel always give out a decent selection of characters for whatever the particular wave is based upon, Star Wars always gives good quality ships, even ones that aren't significant or important, and always give uniqueness to all their characters and Harry Potter in it's resurgence has given a nice sense of nostalgia in good figures with new parts, and iconic scene representation, with the eventual build up to a mass scale Hogwarts with at least one set per wave that gives us a different section of the castle, which in my opinion (despite not having enough room past my old Hogwarts castle for a new one) is pretty cool. -

No idea what the card game is, but having seen an image of the Doomsday card, it seems as though a lot of characters from the LEGO games have been included, such as the aforementioned Zatanna and Doomsday -

Found the Mr Freeze, Batmobile, Batcave and Arkham sets in my local, picked up Mr Freeze. I'm really set on getting the Batcave, but don't want to pay £100 for it, so I guess I'll wait for a discount somewhere -

Even if Black Widow were to get a set or sets, its only just started filming, and would most likely be the film releasing in May 2020. Far too early to know about a potential set -

We can probably expect the 2020 sets in 2020 We had images of one set at the end of June last year, that could well be the same case again this year. Although we didn't know about the Ocean Master set until around October time (ish). Leaked information could come out at any time, but there's still half a year until the sets would even hit stores, the summer sets aren't even out just yet -
Picked up a couple of Disney minifigure packs, and thought, how could I NOT make this guy! Ch'p

The series is to be released next August, and in a year of only two MCU films, which probably won't get any Lego sets, who knows if it'd happen. I really don't get the appeal behind wanting Zemo though, if it's his comic book version, hell yeah, but the MCU version is just a guy. And everyone would complain anyway when LEGO didn't give him any new prints
